>to create whatever software project I want
Requires less a mixture of assembly + high-level language and more knowledge about the kernel/user split and driver format/architecture. As long as you can output a proper module with the language it doesn't matter what it's called (for that purpose).

Assembly in userspace exists is mostly there to change the behavior of existing code (general assembly), or to *really* optimize algorithms (specifically SIMD instructions).

wow sure is a coincidence there's a scandal in the state of someone that ran against him immediately after Trump got exposed for raping children. thank god the glowies are on the case

I know jack shit about computers, but I need a small, durable laptop for college. Ideally, it would have a long battery life, be lightweight, and survive at least five years. It's going to go through a lot of abuse, but I mostly just need it for the internet and a word processor. Maybe some light photo and video editing.

Is there anything under $250 that isn't shit? Thanks

Should we all try to become managers? I'm at 150K as a senior dev, tolerably happy, but when I hear about people I know having titles with "manager" in them, I get to wondering if I ought to be at their level and I'm being complacent. But then I'm a weirdo, so perhaps making six figs as a code monkey is a solid all around package for my personality type.

Definitely true. But as I said, I've just seen too many SDXL images in past years, which makes me hate that stink more.
Another thing is that you don't have much control over Banana, so it's harder to mitigate its stink. Yes, it is a major upgrade in overall looks, but the change in repeated patterns and style is perhaps more important.

>>107717657
I don't like using online models too. I am just saying that SDXL is way too stale. By the way, you can easily generate specific characters with Banana. Give it a character sheet as input and it will do a better job than most LoRAs. That picture I posted is made using this method.
>>
>>107717694
>That picture I posted is made using this method.
and it looks like dithered ass.
the entire reason why pdxl was garbage was because it had all of the character knowledge pruned out of it(on top of its awful bodytyping). a model without character knowledge is worthless.
also you happened to just completely ignore that the art style is going to be hardstuck to corposlop cartoon shit and will never not look like shit.

Lots of work documents because of a legal case going on

It's for taking notes, that's all. I've played with plugins and the linking function, but I just need something for text and text files that's not dependent on Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Unfortunately, the Obsidian r*ddit is a good place to get ideas and see what it can actually do. The level 9999 autistic setups are pretty, but not practical for most people.

It's not complicated. It takes notes and makes organizing easy. It's platform and OS agnostic. It can sync independently from big tech. Only real drawback I see is how responsible you are for your backups.

I started to hate this too. Bases are good to query notes you already have, but if you want to use them for more granular data you have to make billions of small files. Being able to pick what a row is (could be files, properties, array elements, whatever), and to query Markdown elements (tables, lists, tasks, plaintext even), or even JSON files would be better.
