Also, am I missing something here but can’t I just root my phone and install literally any other os ?
>>
>>106509079
The amazing thing to me about posts like this is how naive people are about the things that are possible to do. "I have always been able to install Linux on a new motherboard". "I have always been able to root my phone and install a random OS". Accepting as if it were a law of nature that these things simply are guaranteed to be possible, and not actually just features that can be removed at will by hardware manufacturers.
>>
>>106509079
I think the bad part here is just that it will discourage a lot of developers. People can probably break through google's bs if they wanted to but just implication in the grander scheme of things, ios and android are just pretty much the same now.
>>
>>106509061
>iOS is more polished
Xcode is not. Xcode can't even cope with tooling changes made by Xcode.
>>
>>106509366
Yeah all the people whining ITT really haven't tried out actual iOS dev.
Android studio is pretty comfy now and unless you're running a 300 module project, gradle is totally fine too.
Meanwhile Xcode is such a piece of shit it literally BREAKS with each fucking update and the tooling is so limited you hate yourself each time you use it.
On top of that, must utilities are UI only (yes, really) so have fun clicking through a gazillion menus just to archive your app.
Don't forget that simulators are so limited in their functionality, you can't even test half of your app on them.

YO LISTEN UP PTP IS TRASH TIER NOW! Just Disney capeshit and superhero spam on repeat... like a broken DVD player stuck on Marvel! HUNO? Bhai that's REAL TRACKER LIFE! Ratio tension ZERO! 5Mbps upload speed? Still download 20+ torrents daily, no sweat! Building your movie library? 100% guaranteed easy! Their WEB-DLs? Size chhota, quality TOP-NOTCH! No cap!

HUNO INTERNALS? HONE WEB drops new movies/shows faster than street samosa sells out! PTP makes you seed 24/7 like a slave... HUNO treats you like family! Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian, Anime, TV... PTP mein nahi milega! Variety king hai yaar!

Other trackers overhyped? Whatever. But HUNO... community solid, retention pro level, uploads fire! Life mein agar ek tracker chahiye... SEEDBOX nahi... toh HUNO ke bina kya rakha hai? PTP join karke regret hoga! HUNO MUST-HAVE. PERIOD.
>>

Arre bhaiya, HUNO tracker is too much underrated only, yaar! Salute to this tracker’s simplicity – full fairness for all types of users, even if your upload speed is slower than my uncle’s Tata Nano! 5Mbps ke saath bhi, you can download 20+ torrents daily, no ratio tension-shension! Perfect for building your personal movies/TV library, 100% guaranteed! Their web-dl and HEVC encodes? Size mein chhota, quality mein mota!

And their internals? HONE WEB releases are top-class, bhai! New movies and episodes drop faster than Mumbai monsoon rains! Other new trackers getting hype? Good for them, but HUNO speaks quality-quality everywhere – torrents, community, retention… total package only! If you don’t have this tracker, life mein kya rakha hai? Secondary ho ya main, must-have hai!

...My guy. The FBI has the largest database of CP on the planet. They keep the images so that they can investigate the original creators and share the hashes with ISPs to detect more pedos. They are probably the only organization that has that kind of evidence at their fingertips. US federal agencies have destabilized foreign governments, experimented with drugs/disease on its own citizens, and shot innocent civilians. They are in no way above planting the CP they have readily available to take out a convenient enemy.

I never really understood how you guys actually rate things for the consumer guide. Like, it seems to be mostly chink stuff, which I don’t care too much about, but are all “western” brands (and I use that term very liberally here as a lot of western brands are just rebranded chink shit) just bad ? I just want some footing. Like, take a shure IEM for instance like the shure aonic SE535, where would it fall relative to the others on the list ? Is it inferior to the 30$ offerings ? Is it simply inferior to everything to such an extent that it’s basically a DNR compared to the other suggestions ? It would be cool to have some more normie choices to compare to. It would make it easier to someone like me who only ever went through mainline products to find something I could be happy with. Then there’s long term reliability too, which I don’t have the slightest clue. A shure IEM would have some warranty, but from what I have seen from other brands, they don’t seem to care that much. I mean, it does not mean they aren’t reliable, but I have no frame of reference from the list by itself without at least some warranty.
>>

pretty much
> Like, take a shure IEM for instance like the shure aonic SE535, where would it fall relative to the others on the list ? Is it inferior to the 30$ offerings ?
probably
>It would be cool to have some more normie choices to compare to.
normie western stuff is above $100 and are abysmal dogshit compared to the cheapest entry in the shopping guide

the only advantage of western brands is their customer service, and also most of the brands use very well fitting shells. apart from that they lack any redeemable quality in terms of sound quality

Why do modern operating systems require a SSD to function? How did Windows 95, XP, 7 & 8 run butter smooth even on 5400rpm spinning hard disks? I want to use a spinning disk as my boot drive, but can't anymore due to OSes feeling sluggish on it.

t. using microsoft OS' since ms-dos
>>
>>106501840
Old OSes worked smoothly only if you brute forced it by having the OS loaded into RAM. If swapping happened, it was a waitfest.
Each old os had a RAM breakpoint where it would suddenly work smoothly. For W95 it was about 48MB. Games had similar problems, Diablo 2 stopped abusing the hdd at 192MB of ram, despite having 32 as requirement.
>>
>>106509674
i remember getting battlefield 2 when i had 512MB of ram. it ran fine... eventually. like it would stutter horribly for about the first 10 min of gameplay, then after then it was perfectly fine. swapping was something you wanted to avoid as much as you could on a hdd, which was often difficult back when most people didn't really have a surplus of ram
>>
>>106505312
Protip: old optane drives make great swap/scratch/log devices for file servers.
