It's been an honor lurking and sometimes posting with you gentlemen. My company has decided to do a forced RTO and I've decided to take my 100k in savings+severance and spend a few months NEETing it up before finding a new job.See you lads next summer, I'm going on vacation.
>>106980248It's been almost 2 years for me.
I don't see my manager as a respectable human for several reasons, a major one being I eclipse his hard and soft skills. I'm considering asking the dept head if I could be my own boss. I'd be a lot more motivated with my role, rather than being seen as having less skill or vision than this current guy.I really don't want to make waves. The dept head seems like a guy I can trust, but being honest with my opinions seems like a quick way to make white caps.Hmm
>>106980417=this is how you get a job in this economy.actual informed begging instead of using "open to work" frame or even starting a go fund me page.watch this. witness me.
Why is this piece of shit so cumbersome to use? I just landed an Angular job thinking I could learn it on the job coming from a React environment but I'm about to quit before my first day because it's so fucking opinionated and overly structured. To complete a single function you end up navigating through 4-5 separate typescript files and it's just a pain in the ass to work with. Why does anyone use this dogshit?
>>106980382I'm just doing it to pay my house off18 months and I'll be free :)
>>106980388No foreskin not white.
>>106980393I didn't have a say in that so that's a little unfair. I'm American. The Jews deprived me of my pleasure.
>>106979476>To complete a single function you end up navigating through 4-5 separate typescript filesWhat?Tbh you sound like a melodramatic junior dev with a case of dunning kruger and an inability to understand new concepts. Maybe watch a jeet tutorial video about Angular to get an understanding of the basics. You can't just wing it with Angular and rxjs.
>>106980444But why is it so cumbersome compared to React and Vue? Something so simple on these other frameworks is ridiculously obfuscated and weird in Angular.
Is this true did the Japanese have fiber as early as in 2005?
I remember hearing that they even had a dedicated satellite network for some arcade or console gameand the "street culture" coming into early 10s waning everywhere else was only bolstered by having some arcade machines be able to connect to other machines at external arcades, so you'd always find some salaryman to spar withthe future seemed soo bright
>>106976741My local ISP offered two tiers of dial-up until 2022, alongside 1gbps/1gbps service. They've also been 100% fiber-to-the-home since 2015. So, dial-up over fiber.
>>106976578I'm sure the general idea of "Japan is a leader in broadband deployment" is true, but the US also had "early fiber" in 2005.https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/2001/05/10/sbc-plans-fiber-optic-links/62147365007/https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/verizons-fiber-race-is-on/>>106977420>fiber to the buildingDoes the definition they're using here require at least an Ethernet handoff, or can they count DSL and cable as "fiber" as long as the conversion happens inside the building?
>>106976578When I came to Japan in 2016 they already had fiber literally everywhere. Even little villages out in the country had fiber running to them because they put it up on poles.

How would you de-shitify either of these apps? What's the /g/ take on how to improve these apps, either take things away alter or add new stuff
Delete both platforms and any trace of their existence off the internet.

Instagram should be low pressure stuff for your friends and family. Make it so people want to post to their grid multiple times a week. There's too much social pressure now. People ended up only posting stories, and posting to their grid once every 3 months. Take away showing likes and follower counts. It's a shame on Meta that Snapchat still has a billion users. Instagram should have killed it. Tiktok just feels janky. Youtube should have killed it, but youtube is too pussy to add social features like messaging and reposts.
>>106979368Ban women, ban pajeets, ban sponsored posts.
>>106979559>Instagram should be low pressure stuff for your friends and familyIsnt that what private accounts are for? But people still mainly use stories for some reason

Shit audio, I know, but even here you can hear the lubed and filmed BCPs sound deeper. The downstroke feels positively luxe now as well. Before and after:>https://jumpshare.com/s/XTimpyW8l860T9XX2s4b
>>106974896It's not "self-evident" because it's not obvious that they were trying to get the same red. One obviously leans a bit darker and orange, more Vermillion, while the other leans a toward Amaranth. That's not 'the same color but less', it's different. It's easy to imagine someone wanting the Swagkeys color and being disappointed if it turned out they ordered something that looked like the GMK. It's also easy to imagine the converse. That's not "brutal" lol. And all of Swagkeys' promotional pics for the set look like in your pics so it's as-advertised, too. Something GMK can't always do with their group buys!
>>106976602>nuphyseems to be air75.btw there's also air75 HE, with low profile magnetic switches. they seem to use magnets in the side of the switch, which solves the need for having the sensor right under the switch. but they also advertise 0.01mm precision, which is tmr not he performance. weird
>>106980322they have webpage config for keyboard, tried looking at their demo:https://drive.nuphy.io/?isDemoMode=true#/demoSelectbut I noticed no way of setting hall effect keys as controller joystick. which for me is the most interesting application for magnetic switches (tho this clearly varies from person to person).what other keyboard apart from keychron can set controller joystick for magnetic switches?
>>106980322It's ubiquitous to call TMR, hall effect right now. Hall Effect is the big buzz word and you cannot miss out on that action Besides HE is easy to understand while TMR is confusing

>>106951655this is why AI is such a scam, its just an improvement of the already existing utility of search engines. all its doing is boiling down like 10,000 results and pasting it into a small paragraph, but what if all 10,000 of those results are just redditors with bad info? that doesnt make it the correct answer.
>>106965932Disingenuous article. It says 600,000 workers Wouldn't need to be hired to double their output.Means those jobs don't exist currently.

How come they are in an endless loop of fixing and breaking shit?KDE 5 last minor was perfect, no bugs, smooth, fastKDE 6 was completely brokenThe last KDE update was also smooth and good enoughThe latest one is full of BUGS AGAIN, why do we have to wait for 15 patch updates to have a stable desktop again just for it to go downhill the next minor?

It is a matter of having actual beliefs that you ardently adhere to. You most certainly use proprietary software and hardware every day of your life - probably every waking hour if we're honest. Stallman would not even visit a website with proprietary Javascript, and you're trying to compare idle bemoaners to him?If anything the culture he is talking about might not be that of openness and freedom, but about holding ideals - and ardently adhering to them.
