Why would women approach men in the street? Women hate being approached, so they assume that men feel the same way. They're also afraid of all men everywhere being rapists, due to the constant unending news coverage telling women to be afraid of rapists. So what makes you think women would be friendlier than they used to be?

I just looked and it appears that the latest versions haven't been cracked. Older ones can have Lineage OS installed on them, making them useful.

Truth is that anyone buying you gifts who actually knows you should know better than to give you some Amazon slop. If you get it at a work function or something of that nature you can just flip it on ebay for nickels and buy an SD card or something with the proceeds.

>Chat GPT, Gemini, Claud, ext are all decent to talk to
No they're all cucked to the point of having no personality, but good for some tasks yes.
>Siri, OK Google, and Alexa all suck compared to that. Why don't they just hook up a decent half AI? Siri has sucked for decades.
They have. Google hooked up gemeni to the google voice assistant, and it's worse than you can imagine. Try enabling it if you dare.
If you do, it can answer at GPT3.5 level BUT you can no longer do things like play music, turn on bluetooth, set a timer etc. It will till you how to do it instead. Completely broken, and cannot be undone sometimes.

Apple did the more sensible option where you can "forward" your question to GPT.

Voice assistants are OK for these basic tasks, adding LLMs to them add nearling nothing other than a hands free way to ask stupid shit.

Why does this shit have to be so complicated?
Figured it'd be a fun side project to copy the cards I use for public transport/door access so I don't have to carry so much shit around on a daily basis. Both are MiFare Classic 1ks. Wondered why all the NFC reader applications I tried on my phone didn't read the actual data, only to find that you actually need specialised hardware (eg. proxmark) kits that go for upwards of €500. Fuck that.
Should I give up at this point or are there other/cheaper options? Feels retarded to dump so much on a stupid one-off side project...
>>
>>107560976
You're retarded for not understanding how the cards actually work. MiFare Classic has key protected sectors. You need to crack the keys to copy them. Some applications just use the card's serial number instead (which is insecure). You can buy cards with programmable serial numbers.

take your pick; most DEs have this in the power management settings, it can also be done with tlp or tpacpi-bat (I prefer the last one personally because it's an acpi script built for Thinkpads.

I started typing in Dvorak over 15 years ago after someone on /g/ posted about it. I'm here to return the favor. You can type faster and better with Dvorak or Colemak.

>What is it?
Dvorak (duh-vore-ack) is an alternative keyboard layout. Instead of common key pairs being set apart so that typewriter hammers don't run into each other, Dvorak is optimized to group common key pairs on alternating hands, as well as make optimal use of the home row. There is more than 70% less finger travel when using Dvorak.

>Why use it?
People have different reasons, I used to have bad wrist pain from typing with bad posture. Switching to Dvorak eliminated that wrist pain for me and it never came back.

>Do you use it on phones or just full keyboards?
Just full keyboards. If you're just typing with your thumbs it doesn't make as much sense, and I like being able to switch between the two.

>Muh colemak!
Colemak is about 2% better than Dvorak. It only makes sense to learn one. I didn't know about Colemak when I started. I like that Dvorak has all the vowels next to each other but Colemak has more keys in common with QWERTY, improving the learning curve.

Moving the semicolon away from the home row seems like it would be annoying for programming.
>>
WPM is ultimately meaningless when you get to 60+, the reason why colemak or dvorak is good is because they minimize finger movement, making your typing much more ergonomic than if you are using qwerty

I didn't know custom keyboard layouts were a thing, I mean as in their own rabbit hole. I always assumed Dvorak or Colemak were isolated cases, like some weird niche options you could find in the keyboard settings of your OS. Anyway, I recently came across the Canaria layout, which is based off Canary (same thing but X and J keys are swapped).
https://github.com/christoofar/canaria
https://github.com/Apsu/Canary
Both, specially Canaria, seem like a good option for someone who types in both Spanish and English, so as a spic myself this seems something worth trying out.
>>
There is honestly no good reason to learn Dvorak in this day and age. It is an improvement over qwerty, but there are significant improvements over it today. If you're taking the time and effort necessary to learn an autistic layout, learn a good one from the first try, there's no reason to settle for a compromise.
Those who can already type on Dvorak don't necessarily need to relearn a new layout unless you really have too much free time, but there's just no reason to pick it now if you're learning from scratch.

Colemak or Colemak-DH is the best layout if you want something widely available and without too much autism. It's basically good enough on most metrics and doesn't require autistic installation of custom layouts or ten hours of learning about layout stats and digging through autistic discords to find the optimal one.
