accurate, and I say that as someone using a 2.5GbE NIC.

My main PC is on 10g and my NAS
The NIC would be for my router.
The way around is is 10G NICs, but support is limited to mostly intel for base-t and nbase-t is only properly supported on X710s.
Might wait for the rtl8127 is that ever gets supported or move to something Linux based

Hearing the difference now isn't the reason to encode to FLAC. FLAC uses lossless compression, while MP3 is 'lossy'. What this means is that for each year the MP3 sits on your hard drive, it will lose roughly 12kbps, assuming you have SATA - it's about 15kbps on IDE, but only 7kbps on SCSI, due to rotational velocidensity. You don't want to know how much worse it is on CD-ROM or other optical media.

I started collecting MP3s in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the tracks I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 320kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange…well don’t get me started. Some of those albums have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren’t stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you’ll be glad you did.

I don't want binary blobs on my machine (coreboot), but I don't know if this new breed of devs are to be trusted. I have NOTHING against mentally ill people or trans individuals, I just don't know if I can trust them with my computer.

who cares. if someone makes good software I don't give a fuck if they're trans, gay, communist, black, etc. as long as they make good software. people should be able to choose to live their lives however they want and judging them for that is stupid and narrow-minded.
>>
>>106517162
>I don't want binary blobs on my machine (coreboot)
Coreboot is GPL, same as Libreboot. There is nothing proprietary in either project codebase. Both projects do offer optional microcode updates if you would like to add those on your own (which you should). Anything after C2D Intel will need additional blobs, but neither project distributes those, you have to pull them from your own BIOS. Libreboot is a distribution of Coreboot, and it offers pre-compiled ROMs, so overall it will be easier to work with if you're a noob, which it sounds like you are.

I have made the admin panel for maidbooru. It does not allow external users. Uploads are admin only so that the collection is curated and I do not have to moderate anything. Maidchan will allow users to select images directly from the booru, so that only maidposts are possible on maidchan, and only from the curated collection. I will try to put ten thousand maids on the booru, so that maidposters have a variety of reaction images for their favorite maids. This also kills the glowie CSAM spammer, as he will only be able to post pre-approved, SFW maids.

I added the length to each entry in the dictionary (e.g. [a] = 1, [[[a],p], p] = 3, etc.) so that the dictionary entry comparison function could be much simpler and use TCO (before I had to walk to the first char, then compare on the way back up because I didn't know where to start comparing). Now it only takes about 10 seconds to compress. There's probably a clever way to store the dictionary entries (some kind of multi-level hash table maybe) to make the worst-case longest match lookup O(n)

Hi. Got an android that I debloated and degoogled with ADB. Running fdroid for app's blah blah. I had installed simple keyboard.

I wanted to try a different keyboard so I installed another app from fdroid. I did not like it so I uninstalled it. Then I hit the power button to shut off my phone.

Well I fucked up because when I try to unlock my phone there is NO keyboard. So when I uninstalled the second keyboard app it did not auto fallback to the main keyboard I was using.

I need some help. Anyone have any idea's or the solution? Please. Thank you for any help.

Prefect is a good model, I like it, thanks for sharing your info!

Now I'm nomad of checkpoints, and I find myself in a dilemma.

On one side of the spectrum I have:
Definition, clear lines and vivid colors (plasticky pony-like) <------- and on the other extreme -------> textures, less defined details, color gradients (quartstakeslop, dinoartofslop, wslop)

I can't find a middle ground that satisfies me.
I want vivid colors and defined lines but it makes my gen plasticky. I want realistic gradient colors and more drawn lines but it pushes my gen toward a more impressionist, pretentious side...

I want the best of both but every mix either plastifies or turns into painterly thing.

In short, I feel that I need to live in each style, face it and live it to the fullest, try to imitate it as much as I can to incorporate it well and experience well what it gives me and what it takes away from me, in short, I still feel that I am immature.

senior devs say juniors don't know how to code because they are spoiled with AI and should embrace the struggle of coding on your own. junior devs get fired for embracing the struggle of coding on your own because the other juniors that use AI get work done faster. LatticeWorld: A Multimodal Large Language Model-Empowered Framework for Interactive Complex World Generation
https://arxiv.org/abs/2509.05263
>Recent research has been increasingly focusing on developing 3D world models that simulate complex real-world scenarios. World models have found broad applications across various domains, including embodied AI, autonomous driving, entertainment, etc. A more realistic simulation with accurate physics will effectively narrow the sim-to-real gap and allow us to gather rich information about the real world conveniently. While traditional manual modeling has enabled the creation of virtual 3D scenes, modern approaches have leveraged advanced machine learning algorithms for 3D world generation, with most recent advances focusing on generative methods that can create virtual worlds based on user instructions. This work explores such a research direction by proposing LatticeWorld, a simple yet effective 3D world generation framework that streamlines the industrial production pipeline of 3D environments. LatticeWorld leverages lightweight LLMs (LLaMA-2-7B) alongside the industry-grade rendering engine (e.g., Unreal Engine 5) to generate a dynamic environment. Our proposed framework accepts textual descriptions and visual instructions as multimodal inputs and creates large-scale 3D interactive worlds with dynamic agents, featuring competitive multi-agent interaction, high-fidelity physics simulation, and real-time rendering. We conduct comprehensive experiments to evaluate LatticeWorld, showing that it achieves superior accuracy in scene layout generation and visual fidelity. Moreover, LatticeWorld achieves over a increase in industrial production efficiency while maintaining high creative quality compared with traditional manual production methods.
