This is probably one of the worst things you can do since it won't just degrade capacity but it's the thing which turns Li batteries into spicy pillows of toxic fire, which is the worst part about this chemistry. If you have a device which has a battery (like a laptop) but frequently runs from external power you will be very well served by setting a battery charge limit.
