>>106514263>he has spent more time sucking API cock than properly implementing local modelsPerhaps, but he is still by far the best at implementing local models, so it doesn't matter.I'd really like to see at least one proper competitor, but the closest thing we have is twenty different Forge forks which has development spurts and then become dormant, or crippled InvokeAI shillware for their proprietary version, and all these lag far behind Comfy in model / feature support. It's not that Comfy is so damn good, it's that the competition is floundering. Much like how NVidia can coast and improve their hardware minimally between generations, because their competitors have nothing.
>>106514319If it's just a few seconds time loss then that's fine by me since untiled doesn't work at all on AMD above 1MPixel. I had to hack up Comfy's Inpaint VAE Encode node to do tiling to make it work (and also fix a bad refactor on their code that they never tested). Thanks for the quick answer friend.

Why even post if you're just going to seethe?>>106511676More seethe. You don't even seem to understand what I was saying.Let me explain it in a way your peabrain can understand. Imagine I write an algorithm to play chess. This algorithm is designed to imitate grandmaster play. Let's say this algorithm imitates grandmasters so well that it is actually as good as them in chess. It plays at a grandmaster level.Would you argue such an algorithm is "not good at chess" because it is only "imitating" a good player? No - such an algorithm would be a good player. It doesn't matter if the algorithm is only designed to imitate good play. If in the end it achieves its goal, then you can't dismiss it because of how it works. It's the same with LLMs. They are designed to imitate humans. If they were able to do it perfectly, then they would be intelligent. However, the problem is not that they are designed this way, but rather they aren't able to do it well.Comment too long. I know NOTHING about speakers, but I do need a set for my desk area.I tried doing a cursory bit of research, but the speakers community seems rather convoluted and autistic and susceptible to snake oil. What speakers do you have? Do you recommend them? What features should I care about if I 'just' want to listen to 'music'? Do I need stands? Right now I'm looking at the Ai41, as my budget is like $300.
>>106514216>>106514014I like my ilouds, they need a bunch of EQ but I never felt like they didnt have enough bass
>>106513750Small can be perfectly fine depending on the distance. You can lose bass with smaller speakers when it's time to crank the volume up. OP is not talking about the distance he will be listening from.
>>106514230They're over priced for what you get. I don't care what you think about sound quality. I can get better for cheaper, especially at the 300 price point.>>106514275If it's on a PC you can very much assume the distances to be significantly less than a home theater setup.

>>106514296I wont argue about this, I wasnt in the market for big speakers anyway, just wanted the best I could get with those dimensions, while also having a front facing bass port since untreated room, expensive or not I just wouldnt change them for anything else

Real time SDFs are expensive as well and generating textures for it is one pain but dealing with colors over those generated SDF textures is another huge pain. There is a reason why text on 4code text editor feels good but sucks at the same time. All the font is rendering using SDF and reading non-latin characters won't be pleasant for a long time. They are good but they have their down sides.>If you're just caching the vectors no, I'm not. I'm storing them as a completely different, engine specific, file format that the engine will directly feed the GPU which uses compute shader to spam vertices and presents it without any path-filling bs. Its like my engine's version of glTF for dealing with the vector data.>those are very different problemsyes, no wonder you seem confused.Let me put it this way.Video games assets are either static or dynamic, usually defined by the physics engine. The engine will generate buffers for all the static data(which will be a final buffer(s) that has all the path calculations and filings already compute) and introduces metatdata to computing winding numbers of dynamic art assets in real time. I'm not sure what parameter to deal with here and for several more reasons, the art needs to be done within the engine itself so that I could save myself some sanity. Vector file format interoperability is no joke.TLDR: avoid re-calculating paths whenever you could, especially if they don't change at all and make it easier to calculate paths that could change during the gameplay.>>106513547not like that but yeah, its really not good if I don't post any progress at all.Though I don't value shit like progress and only care about the end results, if /gedg/ needs progress, I gotta respect that and play along.

Could someone please explain this? I want to set up a dual-boot with Linux and Windows on the same drive, but with two separate ESPs for the bootloaders. I tried it in a VirtualBox VM; GRUB detected Windows just fine and everything worked, but I’m not sure how it will behave on real hardware. Is it okay to have two ESPs on one disk without problems? I know that when configuring a dual-boot, the bootloaders are usually installed in a single ESP, but I’ve heard this can overwrite the Linux bootloader during Windows updates or cause other problems. Having a separate ESP would also make it easier to remove one of the OS later.

>>106513902>Linux and Windows on the same drive, but with two separate ESPs for the bootloaders. The ESP is one per computer. Not one per disk, not one per OS.Every OS places EFI executables on the ESP, and the EFI firmware executes one or more of those during boot.
