>>106502304>less money to writers and artists to create great stories and narrativesHate to tell you but the talent simply doesn't exist anymore. One of the main demands during the writers strike was "more people in the writers room". The current crop of writers have grown up doing group projects with group grades. When they're expected to do anything on their own, they're lost. Even worse is that the output from group writing tends to be committee'd to death. On the rare occasion when someone comes up with an interesting idea, it ends up getting "refined" by the group into boring, tepid slop as everyone wants to put their own mark on it so they can share in the credit.

Computers used to be great. Even just starting them up used to be an entire event. It was both exciting and calming all at the same time. Now, modern PCs startup within 10 seconds after which you're constantly bombarded with ads every 30 seconds.
>>106502193Nigga, the UK had the BBC Micro program in the early 80s to try and get the UK caught up to the USA in technology. The government purchased millions of pounds of PCs and also hosted TV shows for more than a decade. 8-bit computers were mainstream in the USA by 1985 when you could buy an Atari or Commodore 8-bit PC for less than $200.

I am sitting in front of 3 monitors, my tablet and my phone and there is something on all these screens and my vertical monitor has about 200 tabs open on it.How can I fix my concentration because I don't think this is working out for me. I was even thinking of buying another monitor until I stopped and made this thread instead. But I still want that monitor and the tab is still open for it.I tried going back to one screen and took everything out but I put it all back after only 1 day.
Kind of insane how the purpose of a modern OS is to literally enable you to have lots of shit open at once, and organize it all accordingly, yet all retards do is buy more monitors for more wasted space and open more tabs they can't even manage. Then when they give up trying to make sense of their fucked up UX (which is entirely their own fault) they start adding in more external devices, because god fucking forbid you take stock of the problem you created. So inevitably you get faggots like OP who make their own stupidity into some "woe is me" crap like he has severe ADHD. Nigga you are dumb as rocks and shouldn't even have technology. You should learn what fucking quadrants are, figure out what a bookmark is, maybe read a book and definitely not on that piece of shit overpriced tablet you didn't need in the first place.
>>106502009>200 tabsgenuinely why do people do this?
>>106502364Here, let me give you a circle of paper.Do you want to share a URL with the class of a Windows laptop that offers a 16:10 or better aspect ratio and a resolution above 1920x1200?
>>106502009>200 tabsi will never understand tab hoarders. i immediately close a tab when i'm done with it. if nothing else, you are wasting RAM by keeping all those tabs open.
>>106502464These are the same kinds of people who never figured out how to use bookmarks correctly. In the old days you'd see lots of idiots just endlessly saving page after page, not even sorting them, and then ending up with 1000 different websites they had no intention of even opening.
>Ruthlessly goes after adblock and downloaders while ignoring bots and spammers>Removes features constantly while adding things that literally nobody wants>Is more notorious than certain ISPs at this point for having terrible customer service>Will irrevocably DEGRADE the quality of a video minutes after it's uploaded with zero logic or reasoning>Purposefully bitstarves nearly every single codec in an effort to force the premium meme>Adds AI upscaled resolutions to old videos and REMOVES the original versions because "muh artifacts">Will randomly serve you videos for completely different languages thanks to the shitty auto-dub feature>Recommendations across the entire website are tuned to favor recent videos, burying anything older than a year>Artificially inflates the views of all sorts of channels to fake engagement for shareholders>Singlehandedly popularized society ruining trends like vertical video, content farms, essay slop, clickbait thumbnails and more>Doesn't even let you see general Trending videos anymore? For some fucking reason???Youtube is the worst platform known to man. I always see people ranting about how bad Twitter and Instagram are but you could fill an entire book with examples of how deliberately shitty YT is.
>>106502255>vertical videoi still cant believe this became a thing. i always argued with people and told them to rotate their phone horizontally when filming but normies never understood why

Doing it as a career would be a "point" in itself, because then not only do I know that I'm doing something that's useful to someone out there, I can also use it to economically sustain myself and a potential family. It's hard to maintain enthusiasm when everything I've done up until this point hasn't produced any real results in that aspect, but it seems like enthusiasm is a crucial prerequisite, so I guess I don't have much choice but to get over being miserable and keep doing my thing.
