>You're a nigger. By "fullstack" I meant "batteries-included" such as ORM, authentication framework, testing framework, admin panel, etc. Svelteshit does not provide everything you need out of the box to build a web app.

Never. And I mean never ever have I heard a white/asian dude refer to a full-stack framework as requiring any of the shit you listed. All it requires is common back-end (API) + front-end (UI) components. So you are, infact, the nigger here.

Reminder for anons ITT to learn Sveltekit since it's the future of your profession.

in rust, the type wrappers (Wrapping, Saturating) are more useful than the functions because they enforce the behavior on all operations without the possibility of a slip-up sneaking in.
>>
>>106998570
But you don't always want to do same kind of checked operation.
Imo it should be up to user/library to define wrappers like this. Just like how there is no volatile pointers types and you just use methods or make a wrapper type yourself.

What's up with that? At least do it for the thumbnails. Would save a lot of bandwidth.

>>106996357
It's more efficient than jpeg. Even lossless webp is far better than png. You wouldn't use bmp instead of png in 2010.
>>
>>106997505
There's some nuance there. Webp IS more efficient than a very specific variant of JPEG that uses chroma sub sampling.

There's 3 versions of JPG:
420 blaze it JPG
422 muh 1337 photography JPG
444 muh fidelity JPG

Other than that yeah, Webp curbstomps PNG/GIF 6 feet under the ground.
>>
What is the usecase for webp?

>>
>>106997799
I use it as dual boot, works fine, I like it very much. I had to buy a compatible wifi card though, 4 bucks.
note openbsd started just because a dev disagreed. same for dragonfly bsd. thisis nonsense.

the devs should just cut it with the arguments, all BSDs should be just one or two, with better driver support, they should port all network/wireless drivers from the linux kernel, like they did with graphics, and seek 100% compatibility with linux.

A good OS that's getting better with time. Making it much faster to get it up and running with a desktop will be nice. Not that it took horribly long before. Wifi support, graphics, bluetooth and audio are getting a lot better.

I'd appreciate some suggestions /g/entlemen. After 10 years I'm thinking of going either beige, grey, or all-white and getting a proper desk (either wood from downstairs or something else).

I'm just tired of my workspace feeling like a black hole or a garage workshop. It's just so dark, angular, and not as homely or complementary as I would like it. Though I might just have clinic fatigue, since normally I love industrial aesthetics as much as classic homes from about 30 years ago.

>OTP and Password utilities.
For those looking at OTP, I've found that Aegis is pretty much the best of its type and can import from everything else. As far as other password/info storage, I think its either Bitwarden, ProtonPass, or KeePassXD depending on what service you want to use and what kind of database.

>Fdroid apps/stores/repos
I see some of you using Aurora Droid or the default FDroid app, and those are fine. However, check in comparison to NeoStore. NeoStore seems to have a fuckload of potential repos already able to be enabled if you want , as well as other features that makes it the best device util I've found for accessing FDroid repos so far.

>Newpipe derivatives and forks
Newpipe itself is solid, but I've been using Tubular which adds SponsorBlock and YouTubeDislike among some other forms. I've been considering looking into PipePipe because it apparently lets you use a "real" YT account if you want to get around the blocking that is done to Newpipe every so often, or because of the type of content you're viewing. Still I'd rather not have to do that, but is PipePipe all in all better than the others, does it have SponsorBlock integrated etc? Any other viewers out there?

Eric has failed us, he has literally one job, and that is to provide 25 puzzles, per year, on schedule. Now it's only a 12 day challenge, how can you even call that "advent" of code, which is supposed to count down to Christmas. I am outraged, and you should be too. What if Santa's elves just decided to stop making half the toys??? Ridiculous.

>Also, starting this year, there will be 12 days of puzzles each December.

>Why did the number of days per event change? It takes a ton of my free time every year to run Advent of Code, and building the puzzles accounts for the majority of that time. After keeping a consistent schedule for ten years(!), I needed a change. The puzzles still start on December 1st so that the day numbers make sense (Day 1 = Dec 1), and puzzles come out every day (ending mid-December).
