It has annoying issues for RP. Like if you tell it to write a scene in a certain way, it really likes to include parts of your instructions verbatim in its reply. You can sort of get it to stop, but it's a struggle.

On the upside, it feels much smarter than Gemma 27b, Mistal 24b, GPT-OSS-120b. Writing can be a bit sloppy, probably worse than Gemma. But it's follow instructions very well, and doesn't hesitate putting {{user}} in trouble etc.

I wish it was faster, but it's my favorite local RP model.

I remember llama.cpp having some other form of speculative decoding that does not use a draft model.
I think there were two other types in fact.
Are those available in llama-server?

You know you can replace the RAM on basically any old laptop regardless of brand? There's nothing special about these.

thinkpads suck now but they are still better than any other windows/linux laptop option.

5-10 years ago was probably the golden age because you could still use an x61 or an x200-220 (and the T equivalents) for actual work but now they are not really viable.

Uhh, well whatever form factor you prefer is best for you. I had the xross 5 and when completely sealing off the air vent, it drew air from the usb-c port, which I found pretty weird, and a lot of times id close off the usb-c port with my finger while vaping, and it wouldnt draw any air at all. So for me the nano's are more comfortable.

>they're rapidly trying to get into all the hot tech. Japan is actually decades behind on a lot of shit.
They're ahead in a lot of industrial sectors. Machinery and chemicals/advanced materials was nearly 30% of their exports in 2023. Not including cars, electronics, gas, or any other common goods and commodities.
>>
>>107551180
How is % of exports an indicator of leading performance? It just means that they aren't producing/exporting much else.
India is the largest exporter of generic medicine. Does that mean that they're ahead than the rest of the world in pharmacy?

Good old software is reliable.

That is why the old UNIX tools are still around and are unlikely to be retired anytime soon, as they have been in use around the world for decades with well known results and incremental refinements.

Imagine being me, though

I got started with Bitcoin after hearing about it on /g/ in late 2010 when they were less than a dollar and started mining them. Then, I sold them all in the summer of 2011 when the price spiked to $20 and made a few thousand dollars. I sold about 500 bitcoins and cashed them out.

500 bitcoins were worth $50 million dollars back when they were at 100k

NFTs were always a scam. The only people that made money from them were compliocit in the rugpull.

Most crypto is a scam

If you're not set on some business strategy then just do investment into stock indexes like SP500. Put in your starting capital, put 10% of your pay into it every month. Every time you add 109% of your income to your investments, it compounds. People don't understand how compounding works for investments. Just understand it works heavily in your interest and you can actually become a millionaire after doing this for a couple decades.
