Without even mentioning the positivy bias. At least gemini 3 still feels a bit fresher and has improved on some of these issues, but you need to ignore the fucking awful prose. >>107558772Step 1, determine what performance do you need. Will it be a facebook (or 4chan) machine? Will you be doing web dev? Compiling large C++ projects? Doing video editing or photoshopping? Rendering large Blender projects? Any combination of the above? Performance isn't needed just for games but different workloads have different profiles.Step 2, decide what specs you want based on the usage you need.Step 3 find a laptop that matches your desired performance profile.Gaming laptops are usually heavier, run hotter, have less battery life and worse quality/less expected lifetime, so you're not getting that performance without tradeoffs. If you don't need it then you should definitely optimise for the things you do need.

So, yesterday my cheap laptop HP 15s, didnt want to turn on when the power button was pressed. Tried several times until i started looking for a potential solution on the HP tech site with different pc.Did the usual hold the power button to drain residue energy thing (couldnt get the battery out since its nonremovable), tried to boot but no luck, tried with power cable, no luck. When the power cable is connected the charging light(orange color) is not constant but holds for a few secs then goes down and lights up again and so on, normally should stay lit up, i know since i have another, exactly the same laptop to compare from other family member (bought at the same time in bulk). Now, after leaving it charging for about 20-30mins, i pressed the power button and lo and behold it turns on like nothing happened... works without issue, battery was and still is charging no problem. When i tried to turn it off tho, after Windows 10 closes, and screen goes dark and the damn thing reboots by itself, just like i would press the power button myself, and when i try to turn it off again it repeats ad infinitum. The only way i managed to turn it off was to either hold the power to force shutdown or press the power when it reboots (there was like 1 time i managed to shut it down normally). After few hours post shutdown, i wanted to check it again and no dice, wont boot. Now figured out that charging for 20min had warmed it up so maybe the reason is a cold solder, warmed it up a bit and it turns on,tho the no turn off issue persists. Can anyone tell me what might be the reason for this to happen? Is it the cold solder i figured or maybe something more or different? How could i possibly investigate further or try to repair it?

A lot of psychology is very bunk but mental illness objectively exists and there are some symptoms which are relatively well documented, detachment from reality (aka psychosis) being one of them.

>>107558890That's something so trivial that you could just write your own in like 5 or 6 lines of Elisp. I don't think it really justifies the hurdle of tinkering all init.el just to get a newer version.I will probably only update Emacs when we get something more relevant like multi-threading. Otherwise I don't really think it's worth the headache.

>>107559192That isn't buffer local. You would need another hook added to something like a major mode hook which would add delete-trailing-whitespace to before-save-hook locally. The idea with the new minor mode is that it wouldn't be on in every buffer.

Good morning, /g/.>>107556173Nice colors, that strawberry theme is especially nice.
>>107558629Two things1) the younger you are, the higher your ideological flexibility is. which makes sense, especially when you take into consideration the fact that younger people are exploring what it means to be themselves. this leads to a sort of ideological ambivalence wherein individuals sympathize with views that are often seen in opposition to each other.2) the older you get, the more solidified your ideological beliefs become. you start out like a pendulum swinging back and forth and settle somewhere in between the two extremes.plus, mutualism is more like an aspect of a broader ideology than an ideology by itself.
>>107559091This is all reasonably accurate, but also the older you get the more experience you've had, and the more observations you've made. This doesn't necessarily result in forming "better" or more "realistically accurate" ideologies/world views, because literally everyone is too retarded to do that, but it does mean you might have major relative SHIFTS in your own individual ones. Younger also tends to think we/they know better than we/they actually do, without yet knowing what it's even actually like to have many decades of experience/observation. When I was in my 20s I certainly had no accurate pictures of what it would be like to be me pushing 60, including what all I would experience/observe over the course of that time, both internally and externally. You'll always be RETARDED, period, but you'll be DIFFERENTLY RETARDED over the course of your life.
