>>107534453I read up on how users can install the "Apple Devices" app from the windows app store thing and you don't have to use itunes to get USB tethering to work, maybe try installing that.https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9np83lwlpz9k?hl=en-US&gl=USAlso are you using the USB3 ports? Maybe try the USB ports that are not 3, usb3 should be backwards compatible but who knows maybe there is some bug/issues with older iphones using usb3 spec ports. it was not until iphone15 did apple support usb3.
>>107534453>>107534551Oh here is another way without needing to install itunes: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/475106/share-iphone-hotspot-through-usb-with-windows-without-installing-itunes

everytime i try to eq my headphones or use someone elses eq profile they sound worse
>>107534520Try the PEQdb one, Sharur's a meme but at the minimum I think the target curve he set sounds less exhausting than the Harman one, and blows the Crinacle curve out by a lot.Might also depend on how you've adjusted to cans or what their base tuning is - I don't EQ my cans other than my 650s.
>>107534504Get another open back pair with similar sound signature. I like FiiO FT1 but I don't remember how it's compare to HD650. If you can, try some headphones before you buy. Or just fix your's with new pads and electrical tape.
Does it make sense to buy used headphones
>>107534511Chinks managed to copy the headband properly so you can get it on Ali for 4$ but unfortunately not the earpads so this still is going to be 39$. Although if they are not completely fucked you can stretch them back to the original shape with a hairdryer a few times before the foam totally disintegrates.

>>107526770Can you fucking idiots shut the fuck up about Ebassi for 5 seconds?WE GET IT. Funny beard guy who works on GNOME. Says mildly amusing things on the internet from occasion to occasion. Haha. Veeeryyy fuuunny. Very. Very. Funny.Big whoop. MOVE ON ALREADY. Ebassi has little skin in the game, he's not even fucking relevant. SHUT. THE. FUCK UP.
Funny beard guy does mildly amusing things. Funny beard guy is so funny. Funny beard guy is so hilarious, you couldn't even begin to comprehend how hilarious he is. It's not that big of a fucking deal. Why don't you shit on Stallman? Or Torvalds? Or someone who actually fucking matters? Ebassi is a random dev who got off center by a little bit. That's the beginning and end of it. Now pack up your shit and leave. It wasn't funny the first time. It isn't funny now. It won't be funny on the n'th occasion, or the n+1'th occasion, or the n+2'th occasion, or...you get the idea.In other words:SHUT THE FUCK UP.
All you fucking idiots can think about is "haha funny beard guy." You've literally made thousands of fucking posts throwing tantrums about Ebassi over several years. That definitely isn't a productive use of your time.

Linux music players are technology. So let me shill the most amazing one that design focused GNOMERs will know to appreciate (KDE users do not reply) (posted from KDE) the name isEuphonica (flatpak installed) [MPD client with delusions of grandeur]it's an MPD client, MPD is a cock to setup that makes no sense whatsoever to have in current year, but THIS is the besst music player client ever made on Lonisx OS +gnu/. I know because I tried all of them, Gappless, Recordbox, Amberol, Vvave(shit), Tauron(autistic and yet not that feature'full), Strawberry(just why?)...No it doesn't have all the features, but this is the best UX (excluding having to install a worthless suckless-nile music streaming server)Sayonara and especially Elisia are banned from this thread. THanks and discuss. What music player do you use?

just switched to desktop linux, im using audacious right now but im not in love. what i really NEED is something that works with like 30000 songs and lets me have a global shortcut to skip to a random song, but then continue playing the as normal from that random song. Foobar did this but I can't figure out how to do it in audacious, best i can do is a shortcut to toggle shuffle. Any suggestions?

I just installed gentoo and I'm in slight disbelief at how easy it was (though it may be too soon since just installed the base system without graphical environment yet)And this is coming from someone who mostly just used Debian, although I have experience doing minimal deboostrap installs of debian, so maybe that's what helped me.The main hurdle was the kernel, after it compiled it just got stuck at initramfs generation, I redid the install with a binary distribution kernel and it worked, however I still plan to compile the kernel once i get everything else set up.Also I made the stupid mistake of adding "-nls" to my USE flags in make.conf and it started to recompile gcc because of that one tiny flag, I had no idea gcc was such a huge bloated program that needs almost half a day to compile.
why do some DE or WM set a lower limit for the refresh rate of my monitor? like for xfce, gnome, cosmic, dwm, and niri wm they all limit the refresh rate 15hz lower than it should be. while for kde and hyprland it works just fine
