mpv is such a fucking mess currently. I find it hilarious that all of their attempts to make colorspace handing "smarter" has completely backfired, and now mpv is utterly incapable of displaying correct gamma by default, forcing everyone to disable all forms of colorspace-hint and manually adjust contrast ratio until they just revert everything from the past 2-3 months.

There's a reason why mpv never touched gamma on anything except HDR sources. It's almost as if SDR gamma is completely ambiguous and most people don't care about it... Even mplayer has a less washed out picture than mpv now.

If the compiler can prove that there is no difference, there is no impact (for example, if instead of 0 you do
 int i = f();
then the scope matters).
>>
>>106964954
There are two ways about this.
1) Objects inside objects. Your object has a health object, a stats object, a mana object. If you have a list of objects and static typing, you need to use reflection to figure who has a health component, otherwise is just a member check.
2) Interfaces. Your object implements the HasHealth interface, HasStats interface and HasMana interface. Multiple inheritance but not homosexual. You can now have a list of HasHealth things.

Eric has failed us, he has literally one job, and that is to provide 25 puzzles, per year, on schedule. Now it's only a 12 day challenge, how can you even call that "advent" of code, which is supposed to count down to Christmas. I am outraged, and you should be too. What if Santa's elves just decided to stop making half the toys??? Ridiculous.

>Also, starting this year, there will be 12 days of puzzles each December.

>Why did the number of days per event change? It takes a ton of my free time every year to run Advent of Code, and building the puzzles accounts for the majority of that time. After keeping a consistent schedule for ten years(!), I needed a change. The puzzles still start on December 1st so that the day numbers make sense (Day 1 = Dec 1), and puzzles come out every day (ending mid-December).

Don't get your hopes up.
>no consideration is made for whether AI can or cannot solve a puzzle.

Full response:
>Should I use AI to solve Advent of Code puzzles? No. If you send a friend to the gym on your behalf, would you expect to get stronger? Advent of Code puzzles are designed to be interesting for humans to solve - no consideration is made for whether AI can or cannot solve a puzzle. If you want practice prompting an AI, there are almost certainly better exercises elsewhere designed with that in mind.

>While trying to get a fast time on a private leaderboard, may I use AI / watch streamers / check the solution threads / ask a friend for help / etc? If you are a member of any private leaderboards, you should ask the people that run them what their expectations are of their members. If you don't agree with those expectations, you should find a new private leaderboard or start your own! Private leaderboards might have rules like maximum runtime, allowed programming language, what time you can first open the puzzle, what tools you can use, or whether you have to wear a silly hat while working.

The good thing about the /g/ board is that it's autist enforced, so suspicious times from jeet will be caught.

Meh, I have a neo, and evo and used to have transition lite. They are too general *Chink shit*

You have to admire the asain design. As an American it's hard not to look at them and think they are "toys".

I think they look nice, but I wouldn't feel right suggesting them as keyboards to a general audience.

Why are women so schizo?

ITT discussions and evidence of the enshittification of technology.
The obvious example of yesterday's AWS outage is very in your face but I feel the normies have no idea things are getting worse until the AI (actually Indians) accidentally push some bad DNS configs and fuck up every service on the East coast.
But if they only knew about the things quietly breaking and getting worse over time.
Recently I've noticed Google maps giving increasingly braindead navigation instructions. Following them adds 10 minutes to the time estimate. Ignoring them and just taking the interstate has me arrive 5 minutes earlier.
A 15 minute differential on a 30 minute commute is wild. How bad do things need to get before they stop outsourcing literally everything?

Windows 11 as a whole is crammed with enshittification. I swear to God I run into an issue every single day at work that makes me want to scream.

I noticed earlier today that file explorer tabs don't run in separate processes like how browsers handle it. Pathing to a UNC share is extremely unstable and will just constantly softlock explorer now.
