i had a bad experience with ai where i thought to use it in order to 'steelman' a proposal i was putting together. i was making a strong argument, so naturally, chatgpt didn't like it, and had all these suggestions for 'improvement' and 'softening' it. i kept working and working with it and ended up delivering something that wasn't in line with my intentions. i was confused. my proposal was incoherent. in the end, it was a disaster.

how is a central repository more "decentralized" than each program having its own independent installer?
windows installers (at least the classic ones and not web stubs) work even if the *whole* internet goes down
>>
windows users are really here arguing it's better because they can install a 3 year old copy of 7-zip even when their third world isp is having outages
>>
>>107688646
>windows installers work even if the *whole* internet goes down
not if you did not download them beforehand
which you can do with competent linux package managers like portage and I imagine pacman but dont quote me on that

you cant say
>but I did not download my linux packages beforehand
and in the next breath say you downloaded your xp freeware beforehand

I suspect that the internet might be pretty close to the point of being literally unusable

There is a record of it. Meaning you detect one bot you can ban all of them and the guy that invited them.
>>
>>107688959
I disagreed before but now that they've added the ones that look the same but have different instructions it really is tedious.
>>
>>107688959
nta he's right. This new captcha takes far longer to solve than the old one where I just slid some numbers and typed them in. It may only be faster on a phone where you don't have a keyboard and I don't want to make it easier for phoneposters but harder for desktop users.
>>
>>107683373
It's pretty, you just range ban Russia, China, the thirdies and VPNs. There will be botting left, yes, but it will be manageable.

It must suck to be a reasonable thirdie. You probably have to solve 6 nightmare tier captchas every time you want to access a site or, heaven beware, post something.
>>
>>107689085
it's what this poster said
>>107689090
the captchas are always one-step on phones after ip verification and like 30-50% of the time also just no verification required cause phonebotting is just a lot less common on this site I guess

As someone who also learned Java first, C# gives you a lot more flexibility to program how you want. You're not locked into a strict OOP paradigm and you can break or leverage it easily where it's convenient. I almost want to say it's like C++ with competent design, but it has its fair share of slop, especially with trying to be Java.

Thanks king, was reorganizing the other day and found the fan hub, so I decided to try and just plug it into a molex power adapter without even bothering with the signal cable and see what happens. One thing lead to another and here we are. So now I don't even need to remove any of my old fans from the fan pins of the motherboard itself - I just have 10 new free pins for fans, all of which run 3 and 4 pin without complaining. And like you mentioned before, the wattage difference is negligible before and after between an extra fan or two.

>blows the fuck out of you're kernel level anti cheat
this is fucking hilarious. doesn't matter if apex, valorant, rust, cs2 faceit or any other league. any FPS is currently unplayable because kids run color/ML aimbots on their second pc and forward inputs to their gayming pc with this 40$ passthrough device. and all the jeet AC devs are too stupid to write an aimbot detection algo that doesn't result in 6 million false positive bans. (the valorant jeets literally used their RAT malware anticheat to check&ban players that stream a centered screen region which is smaller than 512x512 pixels).

Thanks for replying, I honestly just don't understand, it seems like they are just a format for distributing files? It makes sense in the context of providing a single thing a user can download and then click on to make a program run, I just think the requirement to drag the icon to its destination is a bit silly if the goal is to distribute an application
I think a pop-up box that actually says what's happening would be much better
