Brushing the keycaps clean with a horsehair brush is every day or two, disassembly to clean off the plate is once a month, scrubbing the keycaps to look good as new is maybe once per two months. I rotate my 5 keyboards so they don't get dirty as fast.

What is better: a 14" or a 16" MacBook Pro? I can't decide. It's unironically too difficult to decide. On one hand, I would prefer the larger display, on the other hand I use my laptop exclusively when I can't use my PC to do something, which means I need a laptop for use around the house and carry it outside first and foremost. I absolutely do not want to use an external monitor almost ever though.

In a situation like that, 90% of the time you'll be using the external monitor and you'll have as much space as you want, and for the rest of that 10% you'll be able to navigate the system so well you won't really need to use your mouse much at all, and won't need to keep as many onscreen elements visible at all times. So in the context of desktop-type OSes, screen real estate is irrelevant. Get a 16" if you want longer battery life and get a 14" if you plan to take it everywhere you go and you want the extra portability. I recommend 16".
