Has anyone used AliExpress for 3D Printing? I don't know anything about it but I need these small NAS clips to dampen the noise

more signal stuff today! except this one tells us never to use it, lol
>sigreturn() exists only to allow the implementation of signal handlers.

there's really not a ton to say about this one. it just helps to implement the necessary signal trampoline to restore state after executing a signal handler. but i guess that alone is pretty interesting. related, and perhaps more interesting, is https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man0/setjmp.h.0p.html

In the grand tapestry of Western civilizational development, the evolution of computational instruments represents a fundamental struggle between the expansive, specialized elite and the stagnant, institutionalized masses. To observe the rivalry between Texas Instruments and the Hewlett-Packard legacy is to witness a war between mandatory textbook compliance and unfiltered engineering dominance.

The practitioner who wields a DM41X, fortified with the CCD, SandMath, and 41Z modules, does not merely use a tool; they command a specialized scientific instrument. Herein lies the reality of why TI-virgins cannot occupy the same operational plane as the 41Chads:

The RPN "Barrier:" The TI-virgin is trapped within the "Infix" notation, a mess of nested menus and the chaotic struggle of parentheses. Conversely, the 41Chad operates within the disciplined hierarchy of RPN. While the virgin frantically checks if he closed the bracket on a sin function, the Chad hits the operator and watches the stack execute with cold certainty.

Institutional vs. Operational: TI maintains a "stranglehold" on the educational establishment, producing designs for 15-year-olds seeking the path of least resistance. Their builds are lightweight plastic with mushy buttons. The DM41X is a stainless steel and glass tank; one does not "tap" it, the 41Chad engages it.

The Library of Alexandria: The TI /v/irgin is limited to clunky TI-Basic scripts. The 41Chad has inherited forty years of professional M-Code. While the TI /v/irgin is Googling "how to do a Bessel function," the SandMath module has already calculated it using microcode forged for aerospace engineers.

Aesthetic Vitality: The TI-84 is the "beige minivan" of math... ubiquitous and mandated by the state. The DM41X is the vintage-inspired supercar. To reveal a 41-series instrument in a room of TI-virgins is to pull a fountain pen in a room of crayon users.

>Where should I look for microphones in the £20-25 range?
Samson used to have a good dynamic USB mic in that range, but it looks like they updated it and now it's 90 of your monetary units. If you don't know anything about microphones the two dominant types for consumer use are: dynamic (good noise rejection but needs to be an inch from your mouth to work properly), and condensers (will pick up more ambient noise, but can be a few inches away if you move or gesticulate while talking). If you're using it for meetings condenser is good because you can keep it just outside the frame to avoid looking like a podcaster, while the noise canceling on Zoom/Teams/etc. is usually good enough to filter out the background. The following are based on Amazon reviews because it's what I have time to quickly assemble. All are condensers.

HyperX SoloCast - £40 (£28 used, like new)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-SoloCast-Microphone-Tap-mute/dp/B08KFL3SFV?th=1
Best rated cheap microphone, used only slighly above your price range.

Trust Gaming GXT 236 - £22 (£18 used, like new)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-Gaming-Condenser-Microphone-Playstation/dp/B0D8KYFX7Y?th=1
Almost rated as high. Stand isn't as nice. Never heard of the brand.

UGREEN USB Microphone - £25
https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Microphone-Cancelling-Condenser-Podcasting/dp/B0D8BDFQ22
Lower rated. But more features with better stand. UGREEN adapters are good. No idea on their mics. Looks about the same tier as >>107901837.

I recently upgraded to a 9700xt from a 3070. I have a dual-monitor setup, with one being 144hz and the other being 60hz. I now have an issue where simply having certain things (eg. YT video) on my 60hz will cause my 144hz to go to 60hz visually.

I did not have this problem with the 3070 (or if I did I fixed it early on) outside of OBS, which is apparently fixed on Windows 11 (I'm on 10). I can't find anything about this AMD wise, so I'm asking here if anyone knows how to fix this without having to buy a new monitor. I plan to eventually but not until the end of the year.

I think strong/weak typing refers to how much type discipline a language enforces.
In C/C++ you can reuse the memory of a variable any way you want, thus it's weakly typed.

I think beginners benefit from strong and statically typed languages
because running into type constraints makes you very aware of the type system.
Of course ultimately low-level languages offer more control and expose you to more knowledge about the inner workings of the machine, but those are advanced topics.

Wanting to learn something without a purpose is Reddit. Figure out what you actually want as an end goal and then pick the most important thing to learn for that goal. Most of the other things will be picked up over time.

Or pick a random one a start learning. If you really want to know all of them, then it'll take time and it doesn't matter where you start from.

Here is a game plan:
Learn C -> Make a program with C that interacts with Linux utils -> Host it on GitHub and learn basics of branches, PR, etc -> make a website for your app -> make a second website that has a server hosted on AWS and has some basic communication (meme Telegram basically) -> then look into system programming/design and leet code (don't waste that much time on it unless it tickles your autism)

Once you do all that you'll have a good idea of what you actually like / give a fuck about. Literally just 3 projects, and you can skip the 3rd if you hated making the website for #2

Normies can't even tell the worst ai slop apart from real human art. 4channers are all coom addicted nerds who wank it to ai porn all day, but normal people haven't been knowingly exposed to it enough to be able to spot it.

Case in point: A while ago there was a big controversy in the GoT fandom over an illustrated version of the books that came with dubious art. It was really, really obviously ai generated. Anyone who has ever worked in any way with ai can immediately identify these as such on first glance. Pic related as just one example. But many people in the community treated the whole affair as some kind of complicated problem where they would stare at these images for hours and argued if they might be (partially) hand drawn, if we can even know the difference, etc. Normies are completely lost in this regard.

Nothing against trying, the problem is the ones that clearly can't, and instead rely desperately on marketing and drama to try to get some relevance

It's like the difference between opening a restaurant because you like to cook, making everything nice and advertising it normally
Versus opening a restaurant that constantly tries to attack the other ones in the city, bringing cockroaches to them and making a fuss in public that they are unclean and le bad
