Look who has just betrayed AI companies in America. So much for AI "winning the race" against China.

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

Hey music producing expert, I have a question: was it a talkbox or a vocoder used on Daft Punk's "digital love"? Back in the days on forums half of people were certain it was a vocoder while the other half were certain it was a talkbox, both trying to prove it by reproducing it with either a vocoder or a talkbox, getting more or less the same effect but never really the same. After 25 years, do we know the truth at last? I think it might have been both, the guy sang with a talkbox then they applied a light vocoder.

Don't buy anything other than IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Utilitarian design: e.g. mix of old and new ports, stable keyboard layout
>Easy to repair, upgrade (some models) & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals, spare parts easy to obtain
>Usable in cramped quarters thanks to the TrackPoint
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

Shipping for one unit was way expensive, and since 2 were available, buying them together basically cut the cost per unit in two. I plan to keep the cosmetically worse one for myself and resell the better looking one. Where I live, the 8gb version goes for 250€ so I could basically cut the cost even further and still give someone a pretty good deal

Bought a X220 a few days ago. While i have my MBP M1 and it's nice and does everything I need it to do this keyboard is just fantastic. I'm an unc zoomer so I've never had this keyboard on any of my personal machines. While the battery health is quite poor it's lasting surprisingly well on void + i3 and can do everything I need it to do. Next week I'll try and get it to connect to unis wifi and if that works I might just daily this machine. All I need for notes and assignments is nvim.
>>
>>107878094

Finally got a new, modern ThinkPad. It's very nice. But I do miss the old days of swapping batteries, deep keyboards, upgrade-able RAM. At least the build quality is still pretty good and the screen is great.
You don't even get most of that with a T series these days.
As mostly a daily Windows user, installing Linux was a breeze.
>>
>>107879217
Nvm, It was in stock again, when I added it back to my cart.
For T480
This: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001274125904.html ath9k wifi card should be compatible?
And this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000466416321.html should be a legit glass trackpad?
I bought a JP keyboard on vinted but got refunded because "Someone bought it 2 minutes ago???"
This: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32904762342.html is much more expensive than what I got refunded.
There's much cheaper T25 keyboards out on ali now but I haven't seen any with review images this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32904762342.htmlwas from the most "reputable" reviewer of them but still doesn't look too good

it's basically a ksc75 but with all of the problems fixed. no more earclips, build quality is supposedly better, removable cable, bigger earpads.

but apparently the sound isn't quite as good as the ksc75.

>>
>>107879460
If frequency response made a headphone, you could just buy a cheap one that responds well to equalization and make it sound like any headphone.
>>
>>107879645
i don't want to sound like any headphone THOUGH. i want something that doesn't modify the sound.
>>
>>107879460
Not really. You can see from the graph you posted that the treble response is a little different. If you were to change the pads on the KSC75 to the Yaxi pads then that's another thing. Then they would sound better. Maybe not a HD600 replacement, either way. You can do the same with with software or hardware EQ, though.

I think it’s good time that students should start thinking about alternate career options instead of blindly chasing programming. First, you’re told to learn:
>HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C++, SQL, React, Angular, Vue, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL,etc
Then comes the mandatory grind:
>DSA, LeetCode, CodeChef, Codeforces, System Design, OOPs, OS, DBMS, Computer Networks
Then tools and cloud crap:
>git, GitHub, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform,
Then frameworks & buzzwords:
>nextjs, Spring, django, (((Microservices))), REST API, GraphQL, WebSockets
And now the new AI slop:
>AI, ML, Deep Learning, GenAI, ChatGPT, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, LangChain, Vector Databases.

After all this… You might get a job. But there’s no guarantee you’ll survive in the long run. AI is evolving faster than most people can upskill. Tech stacks change. Roles disappear. Expectations keep increasing. IT is no longer the “safe” career it used to be. It’s a constant race with uncertainty. This isn’t fear-mongering, this is actually reality. Don't listen to fucking YouTubers who make their lives out of selling programming courses.
You should really explore other careers where AI supports you, not replaces you.

This technology is fundamentally good. The digital image with its inherent possibility of manipulation has always represented a divorce from embodied reality into a superficial mental realm that promises everything but eventually delivers nothing. Ironically, by greatly accelerating, facilitating, and amplifying this process, AI deepfakes will lead more and more people to wake up to the fact that we have left behind the real for the imaginary, reminding us of the necessity of returning to the senses we were born with and will die with. In practice, for most of you here, this will take the form of hooking up with a tranny.

I get up to 15 or more spam calls a day. I've turned my phone on completely silent because of this. I've done the whole "do not call" registry and the only two things it did were jack and shit. I can't change my number. Is there anything else I can do?
The voicemails keep giving the same call back number. Is there anyway I can report this?
