Jesus, I'm not that insane to compile all those Qt apps, but then again I accidentally recompiled gcc on my first gentoo install because I messed with some use flags. Also are you going to use X11 or Wayland for Plasma?
Anyway, good luck anon.

Expensive wall plug surge protectors are a meme because what they can do is limited by the tiny ground wire leading up to the receptacle. A cheap one can protect against misbehaving appliances in your own house and maybe utility equipment malfunctions. If lightning was a serious concern, you would want a whole house unit, but not in bongistan.
>>
>>107881567
Did you do a memtest run then? You can't see power supply issues without a scope. Usually people diagnose by hooking up another PS.

True. But even at my job for things like lumber and other materials we'll usually have a condition in the contract that if material prices go up so and so percentage beyond our control that we have a right to increase the price by an equivalent amount.

when the freezer fails it doesn't dump defrosted ice water into the fridge compartment.

Without changing how people write code, how difficult is it to implement some kind of memory-safety feature (even if not accurate) in a C compiler, so it can show some kind of warning at least?

If it can't be done so easily at compile-time, then what about some kind of static-analysis tool that can inspect binaries for potential violations?

>It checks for any even number less than some limit disproves goldberg conjecture.
It doesn't disprove shit. If the number exists, the program will exit without any output, just like it would in the case of a system error, insufficient resources, or a fucking power surge. The fact that it stops provides no meaningful answer. If it doesn't stop, it reruns the exact same code again, even though it will only result in it looping over and over again, and there is no indication whether that is the case. That's not a good design. You're calculating if the same numbers are primes over and over again instead of caching it in any way, and that's an awfully shit design. Even if you're arguing for the mathematical side of the design, that's not well-designed as well, because you have no reason to check all the numbers up to n to check if n is a prime, sqrt(n) is sufficient.

The difference is that Rust allows for plain, zero-cost references, and they do not lead to memory errors because of the borrow checker.

How in the everloving fuck is Radeon not smoking NVIDIA GPUs all these years with these numbers? What if they were able to run the same software as though NVIDIA made them? AMD GPUs have always had more raw teraflops over the years (especially double precision, such as on the Radeon VII) and yet this is never reflected in most real world tasks.

Seriously, on paper this should handily beat an RTX 4080. Can someone explain WTF is going on here? Why is this calculator not out-calculating the other calculator despite being able to do more calculations? Are the calculations just retarded and less valuable than the other calculations from the other calculators and thus not directly comparable or what?

First figure out exactly why are you using a PC.
If you plan to use Windows then get Nvidia it's just better objectively.
If you plan to use Linux then get AMD as RADV is the defacto mesa driver built into every kernel for graphics. Nvidia on Linux is primarily for headless servers as in no 3D/2D graphics ROPs working just CUDA and encoder working.
