That is what suicide is for! :3 I do fear that but if I keep hating myself after the normal time that HRT takes to do most of its effect, viz., roughly two years, I will undoubtably kill myself. Of course, I intend on starting to have good hygiene too so that should help me feel better too.

For this use case I would personally look at AR glasses instead, they are light as fuck and don't irritate your eyes as you see the real world as is still. You also don't need that high of an fov for programming, a 27 inch monitor at arms length takes up like 65 FOV so if we get AR glasses with 70-80 that would be enough and also realistic.

Just tried Hyperdroid on my phone. Whoa, the maker really went all the way in making it work just like using Windows 11. They even went too far with Windows11 sounds and a file explorer like Windows Explorer. They even copied Settings amd the Taskbar. App drawer with search is the Windows button with Windows logo, omg. After spending time with DeX on my Samsung tablet, I don't want to go back to the regular Android launchers. My faves are the LG and Microsoft launchers until now, but DeX and Hyperdroid are next level and my new faves now. Hyperdroid forces landscape, though, won't work in portrait like DeX and and any other Android launcher.

I think Linux is the wrong approach for this hardware unless the hardware support becomes 100% in Linux. There used to be a Gentoo FreeBSD project. It's now deprecated, but the idea behind it could in theory be used for Mac OS. Basically, the right way to do this is install Gentoo as a distro on top of the Mac kernel. This would give most people the level of control over the operating system and packages they want. Since it's Gentoo, you don't have to worry about binary packages being provided by someone else.
