i love how modern android when you disable google services, spams you nonstop constantly that you disabled it, and the notifications are something you can never turn off or disable. really awesome

its also cool how all the old apks are broken due to scoped storage and other garbage

i also love how navigating the menus feels like exploring cthulus mind

my old samsung tablet with cyanogen mod burned through 20% battery after 1 month idle while turned on. it doesnt even have a battery saver mode

the new android, with all battery saver options enabled, can last like a week and a half max, maybe 2 weeks idle. absolutely pathetic

If you're using 4chan extensions there is something wrong with you. From personal experience, 4chan's built in extension works fine, especially if you've enabled the thread watcher and inline backlinks.

The lawsuits over AI training show no signs of abating.

The authors are entitled to their share of the profit of the AI boom, because their intellectual property made it possible and the companies committed an illegal act by stealing their data.

If you support these companies raking in billions and don't want any victories or legal precedents for the little guy - then be prepared to watch as they take up an even larger share of the profit in other ways until 95% of the AI boom is their billions of dollars sitting in banks to the point where nothing matters anymore.
>>
>>107684300
It's quite hilarious, actually, Ai shitters had infinite money to buy training data, yet they chose to steal anyway.
>>
>>107683330
Different problem. ITAR makes it illegal to even feed this information into any space that could be exported to foreign nationals, let alone that information is probably classified. Arguably this is a blatant violation of the 1a, but the US is a fake and gay hypocritical shithole.
>>
>>107684325
To be fair, buying entails licensing which entails disputes. Stealing and obscuring the source and then smoke-screening with "fair use" was likely considered the lowest risk. I don't think money came into the picture. Remember, lawyers and the jewdiciary are literally the root of all evil and the decline of the west, personified.

Lets assume we agree this is reasonable: how do you verify whether or not your work was used in the training? The big SaaS You are almost always going to keep the data sets, used a secret and never release them for all these reasons (mostly so their competition can't improve THEIR products with it or do any reverse engineering). Once you have a raw neural network, you cannot inspect the thing to find out exactly which specific media you trained it on. The most evil find is some metadata (and even that isn't necessary for the neural network to even work. It being included is more of a courtesy)

there is like no reason to buy a 5080 when the 5070 ti exists. since all the games that need lots of performance already support dlss frame gen and both gpus can shit out like triple-digit fps when doing so, and in older games it doesn't matter that much since they already run at stupid frames. the 5080 is just pointless honestly while costing a premium. you have to be a cuck to get it as a primary gpu and you have a budget.

All CRT Monitors after the early 90s are auto-scanning, so they easily sync up to the input video signal as long as GTF or CVT video timings are used and the horiz. and vert. rates are within its range. A lot of monitors also support 1Vpp video signals, but standard is 0.7Vpp. There's no dodgy hack needed. Custom video timings will probably look off compared to the preset ones though since the exact inductor and S-cap combinations for horizontal linearity and S-distortion correction respectively are tuned only perfectly for specific scanning rates (there's multiple sweet spots depending on the combinations), always optimised towards for those standard presets (like 1600x1200@75). 1600x1200@95 will also look blurrier than @75, since the output filtering on the VGA output of whatever GPU or VGA adapter one uses is NOT tuned to output very high pixel clock rates. So many fucking moron redditors jacking off about a DP to VGA adapter they discovered which allows for 600MHz pixel clock video signals to be output, (allowing say 2800x2160@75 to be output)... aaaand ofcourse, it looks like complete shit at that res! There's a reason VGA adapters and GPUs limit the pixel clock to max 370MHz, given their output filtering capacitors will start attenuating the higher frequencies of the video signal, and blur it to shit.
>>
>>107684050
yeah its basically impossible to get even 19' monitors now for sub $200 let alone something that high spec. I was quite literal with what i said above. Most of these you just have to message immediately and say you'll take it at whatever time they have free, it sucks but it's the way it is now, in na your literally fucked and have no chance without dropping $500 usd+

I'd rather have a 4K/480Hz OLED, but they're too expensive for me, I don't have much time for gaming so it would be a waste. I got a cheap high- end CRT monitor for gaming/films instead. People buying a fucking CRT for 1K is ridiculous.
I really love my crts because all i really watch is old anime anyways, or vhs tapes which i just have tvs for.

It seems like there is some tiktok slop going on thats driving up the prices or something. On marketplace i've seen 15 women in the past 2 months begging for someone to sell them a tv/vhs comboe 13' tv, seemed so strange. I know when linus tranny tips put his video out on the fw900 they went from like $500 to $2-3k+ .
At least for my needs I don't really have a reason to spec whore much, although my only aperture grill is defective so that is pretty lame

A card with a vga port is not fundamentally doing anything different to using an adapter. Its the same functionality, its just been moved outside of the card.

Most of the zbooks ive been looking at have dual fans and usually more heat pipe coverage, compared to the elitebooks from the same year. How’s a refactor that breaks architecture going to be fixed by AI? Sure I get opus to tell me how to do it, now the shipping build that we delivered to our users is broken and all their serialized data is useless, db schemas are fucked, config files useless. And not even webshit is safe if your debt lives in the API layer.
What are you going to do, maintain the old architecture and the new one?
I can see him having a point with regards to transient layer systems like UI that gets rebuilt and never serialized though
