I pay for three VPNs because every subscription to anything seems to come bundled with a complementary VPN.
>>
>>107900873
No
My brave subscription glitched and now I have unlimited VPN despite never paying anything for it.
>>
I paid $30 for a 5 year deal. Asked if my account had any payment details attached, they said no and extended my subscription 5 more years. Probably some russian connected vpn taking my shit but oh well.
>>
>>107900873
No, because 4chan won't let me use them
>>

i paid for vpn but didnt use it

I would buy them now at that price to resell them though.

How did you tested?
Just because a closure is recreated each time doesn't mean you have function code duplication
>>
>>107904125
Actually I was wrong it seems:
(define (my-function)
(define (my-inside-function)
'())
my-inside-function)

(define f1 (my-function))
(define f2 (my-function))

(format #t "are f1 and f2 eq? answer: ~a" (eq? f1 f2))
>#t
>>
>>107904220
Maybe not:
(define (my-function x)
(define (my-inside-function)
(+ x 2))
my-inside-function)

(define f1 (my-function 1))
(define f2 (my-function 1))

(format #t "are f1 and f2 eq? answer: ~a" (eq? f1 f2))

Here's some additional weirdness for you
(define (f x)
(lambda (y) x))

(define g (f 1))
(define h (f 1))

(define (i x)
(lambda (y) y))

(define j (i 1))
(define k (i 1))

(eq? j k) => #t, but only in a repl, so it's possible one of the passes under `guild compile -Ohelp' is clobbering an earlier optimization
$ guild compile -O0 test.scm -o test.go

These days it's hard to come across a game that doesn't work.

There's still issues with software like anti-cheat but that's malicious sabotage not an inadequacy in Linux.

Linus says it's time to stop getting angry about the state of tech.

AI, 8GB graphics cards, soldered memory, SAAS, Win 11 etc.

These are all actually really good and you are just acting entitled. If you used tech in the 90's you would understand just how good we have it.

Yeah, if you're frugal about it.
Besides the occasional silly 100+GB monstrosity, most games aren't that big, and you can fit a bunch of them onto a 1TB drive.

Microsoft is hiring Rust experts to help the company translate billions of lines of legacy code using AI-powered infrastructure.

In a job listing post on LinkedIn, Galen Hunt, distinguished engineer at Microsoft, wrote: “My goal is to eliminate every line of C and C++ from Microsoft by 2030.”

In responding to questions from commenters about why Rust and not another (more familiar) language like C#, Hunt mentioned memory safety and concurrence.

“Two reasons for Rust over C#: 1) C# is memory safe, but not concurrent safe, 2) performance (no GC). Just at Microsoft, we have about a billion lines of code that I want to [be] rewritten,” he wrote. “Across the industry, it is probably 20-40BLoC that needs to be written.”

Is this the end for C/C++ in Windows?

You’re about to see horrors beyond your imagination

t. insider

It cost me less than 400 euros, AM5 rig. The parts are :
Motherboard : Gigabyte eagle AX B650 AM5- Brand new from Amazon 135 euros with shipping included
Processor : Amd RYZEN 5 8400F AM5 socket - used from Vinted 75 euros with shipping included
CPU cooler : Bequiet dark rock 3 130mm fan 6 heatpipes : used from Vinted 20 euros shipping included
Ram : 16 Gb kit sk hynix SODIMM : used from Vinted 48 euros shipping included
Sodimm to dimm adapters : brand new from Aliexpress, 10 euros for each so 20 euros in total.
Gpu : bought separately before gpu Armageddon : brand new from Amazon - Nvidia rtx 5060 8 gb gddr7 - 269 euros during black Friday
So the mobo, ram and processor came to 300 euros give or take. I won't enable xmp/expo as already the adapters add distance between the ram and the motherboard but they are stable, gonna put it in my new pc case with the gpu next week. I'm so happy bros.

Question about an image forum I was browsing Reddit when I found this chan here [https://nblurb.com/] and I'd like to know how they hosted this site (note: it's a mix of Reddit and 4chan, but it can be considered an image forum/chan). I'd like to ask the creator of this chan how they did it. I'm thinking of hosting it on Vercel or GitHub Pages. I tried commenting on the thread, but since it's been 5 months, I haven't received any answers. So, which service did you host it on: Vercel, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare, or another? (Note: this is not an advertisement for the chan, just a question)

Hey, I'm trying to host something but it's difficult. Is there any web hosting service I can use for free?

>>
>>107904527
It's not expensive; hosting + a domain is about €6 per month, or in American units: one McDonald's meal a month.
>>
>>107904604
there's several hosting services that give you free trials, including AWS Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean and many more. The easiest might be Vercel or Pythonanywhere for python apps. Oracle gives you $200 for free to try out for 6 months, that's plenty to host a site.

Never installed Pop os because of the name lol
but is it good?

Matt Dillon (iirc his name) was not happy with the FreeBSD's SMP implementation and he believed he could make it better, so he forked freebsd 5 and implemented his message passing SMP

He also had interesting ideas, namely the hammer fs and the virtual kernels capabilities

To this day it seems that freebsd caught up dbsd performances (and also ended up being better)

The ideas are (were?) interesting on paper but lacks of men-power makes it look like it's virtually stagnating at this point

Essentially
> documenation is not comparable to other bsds (last time I checked there were graphs from 2012) and the "handbook" still had a lot of sections TBDed
> Performance wise it loses systematically to freebsd
> Hammer looks like it's "almost ready" since forever
> He seems to become shy talking vkernels

R36s, officially a gaming console but it's essentially a portable 1GB RAM quad core linux PC. Can do loads of stuff with it and it has a really high quality screen. And it can be as cheap as $20 when it's on sale on ali. There's also an R36xx too which has built in wifi for a bit more.

Update the firmware on them and the receiver. Make sure you mess with the game/chat wheel. For the popping, firmware update may just fix it but you may need to try different USB ports on your PC/Console. The popping would happen to me every so often on my PC but it was like once a week at most.
