For the first time in a long time, learning/working is fun again.
I get it to help me with stuff and to search for me quickly but sometimes it just makes things up. One time I was comparing graphics cards and it decided out of the blue that the Rx 9060 xt was a fictional card from a TV show so I couldn't buy it and would be better off getting an rtx 5060. Stuff like that really makes me take everything it says with a pinch of salt.
It's pretty good with psychotherapy, as long as you set it up to not kiss ass.
I’m already envisioning building a workstation pc to run LLMs
>>107802328>most likely falseHoly fucking cops. Bull. Shit you believe this. You have to be a college professor to believe this lie. AI is better than every college professor I had - bar none.I would never ask a professor anything unless the AI wasnt cooperating and I had no choice, but I would be oh so patient because I know professors ARE A JOKE!! I went to 2 universities and they were a joke. And 1 was a prestigious university world renowned. GARBAGE! All the profs I had should be killed for taking my money and acting like they delivered me value with a serious face
>>107801967It's so much faster than digging through dozens of blogs, or asking reddit, or getting on a forum full of fat miserable nobodies that feel important because they know a bit of technical information and have a shit attitude towards anyone asking for help. See: any IT forum, creativecow, adobe help forums... pieces of shit that do nothing to help people and just see it as an opportunity to talk down to people while stroking their ego. Meanwhile AI will tell me how to solve my problem immediately. Long gone are the days of posting about an issue with a piece of technology, and only getting responses from fanboys defending it and refusing to help or admit its glaring issues.
Hytale uses QUIC for multiplayer. What do you think about it? Is this the first reasonably popular game that implements multiplayer over QUIC instead of using TCP or their own custom protocol on top of UDP?
>>107831502>>107831790>multiplayer games>tcphuh? surely most use UDP
>>107833030Well some do use TCP, the Java edition of Minecraft does it for example
>>107833054minecraft is a meme with low constraintspretty sure real games have always used UDP
>>107833030games use both. udp for gameplay, tcp for chat and misc functions.
>>107833081wow still uses TCP>>107833097yeah that's probably where QUIC fits in, good alternative since encryption happens transparently and firewalls won't have a problem with it
If you want a tablet and also want to draw, should you get an iPad or a Samsung tablet?
>>107829802>x86>on a PORTABLE DEVICEare you a masochist or stuck in 2010?
>>107832583*adapted software. There's lots of streached up phone apps, that work worse than a desktop site on a tablet. And it lack some desktop grade such as da Vinci and lightroom applications as well. I bought an android tablet to replace my old iPad pro. Big mistake.
>>107828973If you only care about drawing get the MovinkPad Pro 14. Samsung pens are old wacom tech and not amazing, and their nibs are weird. iPad pens dont have hover unless you get the latest iPad Pro, so you cant see what your brush size is on the non pro pen.The movink uses the same stylus as the Cintiq Pro line. It's a no brainer if you are buying a drawing tablet in 2025. You can also plug it into your PC and use it as a cintiq, but i read you cant customise the pen buttons and it's not using DisplayPort or anything so i assume thered be a little lag doing that.Go with movink pad pro 14.t. regret buying an iPad Air 5th gen because it doesnt have brush hover and i find it hard to paint without it. take a random sketch as my "i am an amateur artist" proof if needed.
>>107832744small correction: Apple Pencil Pro (pen with brush hover) actually works on a few ipads. iPad Pro (M4, M5), iPad Air (M2, M3), iPad Mini (A17 Pro). If you go with one of them, the iPad is fine. I just hate pencil i use on my M1 Air because it doesnt let me brush hover.I'd still go with wacom if i chose today, but either go iPad or Wacom imo.
>>107832744there is also huawei>>107829057their new pen is incredible and their screens have paper like coating.all of it for 1/3 of the price of an ipad.

Should I keep the Oppo Find X9 Pro CN version I got and sell the Xiaomi 15 Ultra I was planning to replace it with? My dumbass got the CN version which means the phone is kinda filled with Chinese although after tweaking it a bit I got all of it out at least in the home screen, the only Chinese stuff I can think of now must be the AI and in the settingsI don't have google discover news and neither pull down search because both of them were in ChineseEverything else seems to be fine
>>107832388Unfortunately no and as a OnePlus 15 owner I can say confidently that it did not win. The OnePlus 13 and Find X9 Pro both have better performance and cooling.https://youtu.be/wstz5TElzCo?si=nWnUrzHuOSrjEvex

I need to get a new job. After a three weeks vacation I finally realized how much I dread it.I've been working as frontend webdev for 6 years and I loathe this shit. I got into this (self taught) because I thought it was the most viable option. Getting in here wasn't really a mistake, but staying that long was.I hate modern web design and I don't like working with designers, also I don't like the unstable ecosystem and the constant circus of tooling and libraries. Not to mention AI. I think that I still enjoy programming and I want to actually get better at it instead of juggling librarys and shit every year. After doing some market research in my area (Spain) I think that learning Java and going the backend route is my best bet.Any other suggestions?
>>107832252The frontend landscape isn't changing much these days. You still have React, Vue and Angular as the most popular frameworks and a bunch of popular libraries. Sure, some libraries are changing and new ones get added constantly but you only use what you have to. Only CSS keeps constantly evolving at a pace that's too fast even for AI.
>>107830653Because others have to be strong all the time as their job. You know, by interacting with others. You chose to take the job for weaklings (sitting behind a computer screen with little human contact required), and with that choice comes pain and suffering. You're a lot like a tranny, they think that by cosplaying as a girl others will have mercy on them, but the opposite is true. You disgust others, and no one wants to treat you like a human being, just a fucking whore.

Excluding networking in TempleOS was a high IQ move by Terry.Globalism (the internet) begets tyranny (safety-obsessed "programming", software that does things behind your back, snitches on you etc.). Pre-internet hobbyist computing had no such problems. The most you had to worry about was a virus wiping out your files, but the incentive to create malware is much lower when if it's isolated to a local machine with no connectivity.Browsing and file downloads should be done on a dedicated device. Transferring data from it to the PC should be limited by a physical, analog "tap" with separate controls for each communication direction. Online banking/shopping shouldn't be a thing at all, or should involve dedicated hardware and software that undergoes the same kind of testing as ATMs.Fuck Rust, trannies and fuck lazy consoomers creating the incentive to make computing maximally cancerous.
>>107831780>I'm functionally illiterateYes, you are. Bizarrely, that also correlates with internet use.
