Frutiger aero is too bright and overbearing.
Modern design too flat and dull, and honestly is depressing if anything.
late 90s early 2000s aesthetic though... THIS is perfect.
Shiny and fun and detailed, but not too maximalist to the point you wanna lobotomize yourself.

For many decades, satellites have produced far more output than agencies have had human resources to interpret. Sure, there are automation, motion triggering, AI and more but that is no match for a human image analyst.

The counter to surveillance and data caching is to create as much junk data as possible. That's why the whole "AI IS THE FUTURE" shit with regard to infosec and cyber warfare is hilarious. Because it's a foil to itself, and it's an infinite money sink for any nations that make the folly to venture down the AI road. Because the counter to enhanced surveillance is digital chaff, and the same people are selling weapons to all sides.

ITT we share helpful firefox user_prefs that make it better. I'll start.

user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.warning.timeout", 0);

This removes the annoying banner saying press ESC to exit fullscreen every time you fullscreen a yt video.

user_pref("media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.video-toggle.has-used", true);
user_pref("browser.engagement.downloads-button.has-used", true);

With this in your user.js before you open the browser it won't popup instructions on obvious features. I have a pretty big user.js based on betterfox that disables telemetry and toggles all the settings the way I like them so it's completely configured on install without doing anything, and then I've added a bunch of minor quality of life conveniences like these. Share yours anons.

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™

I can't figure out what makes ThinkPad fans work different between Linux and Windows. On Windows 11 my P16s seems to turn them off under no load which is not the case on any distribution I've tested so far. Am I missing a driver or something? Are they supposed to be controlled from user space (can't see any fan curves in the BIOS)?
