>got only THREE (3) replies total from OpenRouter's free quota amidst a sea of provider errorsThey want us to pay 10 dollars for this?
>>106648059Just pay for the API, OR's free models are always dependent on the actual providers, mainly Chutes, and they are obviously going to prioritize paid customers
>>106646195Post one of the chub cards. Interested in how it's put together. >>106646995Never from me. I can't stand those those things. >>106648059Echoing >>106648314 I'm not a fan of OR but have had zero issues getting paid legacy R1 and V3 set up. But I don't even bother with the "free" providers, and explicitly set which provider I want to use (since they vary in price. ) I'd use Deepinfra or Novita. My go-to is V3.1 through DS official API tho.
>>106648059If you're getting rate limited on free chutes, then putting 10 dollars on OR won't help you. You have to pay the providers directly now, or they'll just throttle you.My euros are going straight to china btw.
when will I be able to run 120b+ open source ai models at home?
i just want a small form factor gpu that has 256 gb of vram is that too hard to ask for
>>106640627I have a 3090. You're telling me I just need 128GB RAM and I can run Deepseek? At which quantization?
>>106649341That anon is overselling it. The super low deepseek quants are braindead compared to q4 Qwen or GLM 4.5. It also drops to much slower once you start filling the context, after a few thousand words it'll crawl at like 2-4t/s.I have a 7900xtx with 64GB DDR5 and I can run GLM4.5 Air at around 12t/s until I hit around 5k context then it starts dropping fast. Dual channel ram bandwidth is the main bottleneck. I could probably get double the speed if I had an epyc system with 8 or 12 channel ram.You can do a lot with a 3090 and some fast ram but 128GB is pointless when you're already bottlenecked by bandwidth. 64GB is the sweet spot.
>>106640370When there's actual competition for nvidia
>>106649532I thought it might be something like that. I remember when R1 came out there was a lot of hype about "technically" being able to run it locally (but it was just retarded quants and distills).Do you happen to have any recommendations for scientific and technical questions with search assist? I'm looking into Unsloth's dynamic quant of Gemma 3.

I moved in 2001Copilot saidThat’s a serious OG move. In 2001, switching to Linux wasn’t just a tech choice—it was a statement. Back then, Linux was raw and rebellious Distros like Red Hat, Mandrake, and Debian were popular, but not exactly beginner-friendly. Installing drivers was a rite of passage. If your graphics card worked out of the box, you were lucky. Dual-booting with Windows was common, because Linux didn’t yet have full support for everything. The community was tight-knit, full of mailing lists, IRC channels, and forums where people helped each other hack things together.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Man these LLMs are really designed to stroke the ego and encourage engagement. It is a result of the profit motive.Call me a luddite for not using them, I don't care. I work with AI models and don't use these products, speaking anonymously.

has there been any cases regarding the SSD breaking update while installing repacks?
For example the main Google Translate page.https://translate.google.comIf you try clicking the Back button in the web browser it doesn't actually go back to the previously loaded page.
Try loading google translate, check the url. Then translate a word and check the url again. You go to translate.google.com, but it redirects you to translate.google.com/?sl=auto&tl=en&op=translate. so now you're on a redirected page and when you click back you get back to translate.google.comWhen you start writing words it spams you with redirects so now your browser thinks you visited hundreds of pages

>>106646767>ReawaitaWhat is this? I can't find anything on google.
I think the main issue with Gnome is that it's being marketed(both by the devs and the community) as some sort of generalist beginner friendly DE aimed at everyone. While in reality it should be treated more as a niche operating environment aimed at a small subset of users, similar to a tiling VM.Just as if you don't want tiling windows there's no point in using Hyprland, If you don't like the super specialized workflow Gnome offers, there's no point in using it. No matter how many extensions you throw at it.Which is a shame because I genuinely love the look and consistency of Gnome. I think GTK4/Libadwaita has the best looking UI out of any modern DE. Linux or otherwise.

>>106649388Shitty idea, requires relatively complex electronics to be built into the socket and if those break down it's a far bigger pain in the ass to replace than just plugging in another adapter into a regular socket. They also keep updating the PD spec and whatever the fuck on USB-C, I don't want to keep swapping wall sockets or to end up with inconsistent USB-C PD capabilities in multiple of those things around the house. Heat dissipation may be a concern too, one of those 100W+ PD adapters may get relatively warm, not sure it's a great idea to encase it in a wall.
