So if you make the shape too big, the UI dots that you drag to stretch the crop will appear way too far from the image itself. Even Adobe Fresco, probably one of the most cheaply made drawing programs I've seen, it made cropping very easy, and that's a program made for drawing paint and oil style, not image manipulation. I dare even say that it has a better UI.
