It doesn't say whether the conspiracy drive-by response is satire or serious.
I think /pol/shits are mentally ill retards who take their bullshit both seriously, and claim that it's satire. They live in a in-between world of irony poisoning, being part of the cast in the own clown world they suffer from, an eternal limbo where they're looking for nice explanations for their miserable state, and knowing that it's bullshit.

I have met anti-Linux and anti-FOSS people. They are always failed it guys that have big ego, but are actually non-tech-savvy. The hate starts when school or work forces them to learn Linux and other people laugh at them when they can't even use it. This starts life long hate because they finally figured out that they are not tech-savvy or "power user". There is many consumers, e-celebs and reviewers who actually thought they are tech-savvy. Linus or some other non-tech-savvy consumer just buying a new phone or GPU or installing a driver doesn't make them anything else than butthurt non-tech-savvy consumer.

Also WinTroon and macTroon have worse DEI code of conduct, worse cuck license, npc sheep slave propriterary code and everything else is worse. Doesn't matter if you dislike LGBT or SystemD/Wayland, those WinTroon and macTroon have it 1000 times worse and also without any alternatives or solutions for anything.

the downward slope part of the dunning-kruger effect is really hard to overcome
i have actual microsoft certifications from before i switched to linux fully, and it wasn't until i was more comfortable with linux than windows that i realised just how little those meant. at this point i can't scarcely tell the difference between consumer and certified confidence in windows
>>
>>108564856
There is no downward slope part of the dunning-kruger effect. People correctly rank themselves, not perfectly corresponding with a hammered result curve is irrelevant to anything.
>>
>>108564563
Dude, using Linux is not complicated. The problem with people like you is that you've never worked in IT and your whole personality boils down to using an OS. Constantly tinkering and tweaking useless shit that doesn't matter at all.

People who do actual work know that every tool is good for something and just use that.

Not a particularly compelling reason. If they had wanted to have more control over what a BSD can be maybe they should have published it under a different license.

>>108564448
Windows pushed too hard with 11, it's crossed a another invisible line of consumer abuse provoking people to seek alternatives. And Mac is expensive.

even if they do, who cares
the normies will use slopOS, you'll use whatever you already use or switch to the alternative that'll always exist
I don't think anything will change though, it's still the same people developing OSS
this is an influx of slop people, not programmers who will get involved in developing the ecosystem

Picunrelated, but is Microsoft doing anything with MAI-2, besides Azure/Foundry? Copilot received only recently Image-1.5 and it's still using it on my end. And there's been no update in BIC where the "new" model is still MAI-1. I wonder if it's being delayed because of the guardrails, the playground is severely filtered.

Who knows, nobody's even using that crap because it's still behind even the open source models. Wan 2.7 Pro shits and farts all over it. And isn't comically over-censored.

Based Andrew the Zigge telling the llm jeets to fuck off already. The policy every open-source project should adopt. I personally am willing to use Claude at work just to get my manager off my back, but I would never desecrate my personal passion projects by using a clanker.

In a perfect world we could do this. In the real world AI is heavily used by people who don't know what they're doing but want to be helpful. They end up being unhelpful because they just shove AI slop at people that the maintainer/creator has to take time to review, they themselves often don't even understand what they're shoving at maintainers to review. Often maintainers deal with so much of this and review so much unhelpful code that it's better to just block AI contributions altogether. It's not worth the time invested to sort through a mountain of slop for quality contributions.

Ideally AI would offload much of the work a maintainer has to do, but again this is the real world not a hypothetical and in the real world it actually increases the amount of work they have to do. It's also just annoying, and creators/maintainers are human, so you have to consider their personal enthusiasm to interact with AI whether you like it or not. You can't just apply bean counter corporate management to random people on the internet making things often for free.

Which earbuds are the least bad?

I have heard people praise Sony's WF-1000XM series but apparently the new XM6 are not great, and also they look fucking retarded with how huge they are.
I am also hearing increasingly positive comments about the AirPods Pro, but I am sketpical of the judgement of anyone who has purchased an iPhone, so I wanted to double check.
Galaxy Buds Pro also seem to have improved but they have a reputation for hardware issues.

I have the Buds 3 Pro and honestly I think they're overpriced. However they do phone call quality much better than any other headphones I had. People can actually listen to me on a busy street without it being too muffled and sometimes they can't even tell I'm outside. Battery life is pretty good and their ambient mode or whatever the hell that doesn't fully mute outside sounds while still being clear is actually pretty good
As for the rest though... not amazing sound quality (they need EQ, though at least EQ actually works), no multipoint and fairly laggy when connected to non Samsung products
>>
>>108562714
1.all earbuds look retarded
2. Nobody gives a fuck what you look like

WF-1000XM4 owner here, you're really just paying for the brand+ANC with flagship Sony TWS buds and they honestly don't even sound that good.

Out of the box tuning is a bit dark and muddy for my liking and music sounds noticeably better with ANC on instead of off for some reason. They sound fine enough after an EQ but they do this weird auto EQ thing where they'll adjust the frequency response when you try turning the volume up to a certain level to protect your hearing or some shit. Of course they don't mention this and you can't turn it off so the volume's artificially capped. My $60 Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro+ runs fucking laps around these $200 (I paid $80-$90 used) Sony's if we're talking pure sound quality, but then again the companion app barely works, ANC is nowhere near as good, controls are kind of ass, battery is shit and they look a little tacky.
