>Americans shelling out $6k+ for a gun that's dirt cheap in Yurop

LOL
>>
>>64694208
Show us your gun then anon

i see no point in bullpup rifles, i mean they go trough all that work, only to provide miniscule results, all because they keep recirculating AR derived slop design.

the only guns i have seen as a viable solution is either KRASA or the "grip repeating rifle", and not for its name sake.. only the bolt design.

anyhow, this is my take on what a bullpup should be.. it feeds from behind magazine, so you obtain 3 more inches of barrel, mix this with the bullpup setup and suddenly what should be a 10" barrel gun, can become a 20"..

You have no training. Try clearing an apartment or operating out of a vehicle. Bullpups are more space efficient and I'd take one over some shitty long ass grandpa gun. You can't maneuver with it.
>>
>>64694145
He’s saying that you could “pimp” the concept of a bullpup by having it feed out the back of the magazine rather than the front. He really ought to have posted multiple pictographic representations of various cutaways of the magazine-bolt-breech-chamber areas.
>>
>>64693349
Combine the General Dynamics bullpup, Textron NGSW submission, and KRASA. The KRASA alone is flawed, can't shoot lefty at all or it ejects into your face. The Textron system ejects further out towards the handguard, but is flawed without being a bullpup because that's where your support hand rests. The GD is just neat and has lightweight ammo with casings that don't burn you.

Yes. Quaritch gets briefly captured by sexy fire shaman lady (Varang). She is amazed by guns which she thinks are magic. He teaches her to shoot and she's impressed by him. He escapes. But later when he needs help tracking Jake, he goes to her village to meet her and he offers to give her tribe guns in exchange for her help. She agrees and loves the guns so much she drags him to her tent to fuck and becomes his gf. It's the best sequence of the entire movie.

>>64692845
my experience is that it's actually the most boring of the bullpups. It's like saying "why isn't the AR-15 more 'popular' as defined by people talking about it?" It's far and away the most common bullpup that I see at matches. It's really great for suppressing. It's also absurdly light. I have two of them because I like them so much.
It's better than the Tavor, FS2000, and MDRX
>>64692919
the ejection system isn't finnicky. it's an AR-18. It just goes down.
Saying it's "finnicky" just means you've never looked inside one.
If you want an example of a finnicky system, the MDR and MDRX forward eject is an absolutely garbage system. If the toggle lock fails or you have either too much or too little bolt velocity, you end up with a smashed case inside the receiver that prevents you from disassembling the rifle until you yank off the ejection cover and dig around in the guts of the rifle with a flathead screwdriver. I still love shooting them though.

Yeah all of the reviews I've seen with this issue have reportedly not cleaned their guns and/or ran them uncleaned in extreme cold environments (winter brutality in Fi). I do tend to let my AR get pretty dirty (I also shoot it suppressed), but to run it unlubricated seems like dumb choice.

Very good, but how about this.

I am very curious to know what /k/ would use in the zombiepocalypse. What would actually be best? I always thought that the writers for the show had a lot of missed opportunities for /k/ino guns, gear, armor and weapon concepts both from history and modern times they could have applied to the show. A lot of stuff just felt like it was missing. Every time there was an actually big faction it seemed like they didn't equip their grunts with the most effective choices. Keep in mind, it would still have to be things that you can continue to use well into the future. There is no military supply chain in the zombie apocalypse unless you are with an utterly gigantic group of survivors.

The way it always looks is that if the brain is damaged even slightly, the protective sac that the virus creates to maintain the brain is ruptured and that rupturing immediately kills the zombie in question. Walkers in the show have been killed by what amounts to essentially prison shivs.

>You would run out of ammo
Source? Hard to find the exact number but I've seen figures that the US military has enough ammo to basically kill the entire US population 5 times over. Which, wouldn't be a thing if the US pop was fighting back as humans would obviously, which zombies aren't really.

>We are talking about a fictional TV show here.
It's a shitty show, I reject the context of your dumb show because it's dumb, and since we're arguing fantasy then I'll just say my group size is 2 millionish people. Choke on that jew hider.

>There is cool weapons in it and you are intentionally avoiding answering the primary question of the thread.
I addressed the tactics, I'll answer the question on weapons, small arms at close range used by the US military. That would be best, save ammo by luring them to pits, trenches, holes, whatever you can bury them in for free, or at least the cost of some gas, and take close range shots of any zombie that gets near you. Slowly back up in your vehicle shooting them, if there are obstacles or rough terrain that could impede your vehicle, play more human talking noises to lure them out of forests and shit. Zombie shows are fuckin gay and retarded and are for larpers to imagine their family and close friends using their neat variety of logistically dumbfucked loadouts.
>>
>>64693730
Welp, anyways. Here we go. Zombies definitely can't bite through chain mail, but maybe you still get infected because your skin gets pinched between the links when one of them tries to bite. So, what you could do is wear a gambeson under the chainmail. However, gambeson and chainmail are not COMPLETELY suitable for fighting other humans. You'll want some plate armor on top of your chainmail as well.

I do think the very best load-out for fighting zombies at least, is that of the medieval knight. However, I do think that the weapons used should be specific. You need energy efficient weapons, since you could conceivably have to fight a thousand zombies in one day. So maybe a spear made to be long and lightweight? You would want long, light weight and ultra durable. I could see an arming sword be useful as a side arm for sure.

I don't at all think that it makes sense to use guns to fight the zombies, since you'd want to save ammo and guns for other people you might run into with those same weapons that could be hostile. You would want to save that resource.

Never understood why, in the show, they defaulted to regular bow and arrow instead of crossbows. Many characters had to have the knowledge of how crossbows work, anyone can build one if they have some basic tools and they aren't too expensive to make. Hell, even muskets or a blunderbuss makes more sense as a primary weapon. Especially if you have a blacksmith and some way to make black powder from scratch.
>>
>>64693933
>maybe you still get infected because your skin gets pinched between the links when one of them tries to bite
who the fuck is wearing chainmail on bare skin?
>>
>>64693730
Motorcycle riding gear, police riot gear, hockey and lacrosse pads for walkers. Guns and whatever Kevlar you could get your hands on for living people.

People would probably wear a plate carrier with arm guards and hard knuckle gloves if they wanted the best of both worlds.

Bro there is like an estimated 50 billion + rounds of ammunition just sitting around in the continental US. The country produces and sells about 12 billion rounds a year. No one is running out of ammo.

Dawg “low background steel” can be literally any ferromagnetic alloy, you can just smelt iron in an inert atmosphere in an arc furnace, maybe even under partial vacuum to introduce CO or some other carbon bearing gas later in the smelt to carburize the iron into steel if you need some structural strength from the material.

that's always such a cope. I have thousands of rounds. it's not hard to when you're got like .22lr and .223/5.56.
The guy in the article was a felon in possession so whatever, ignoring that. Why would you own like 15 ARs? I have a carbine and a 20 inch hbar. Like I understand having more than one AR. I understand having multiple carry guns for different weather, having a collection of curio and relics (even if they don't fit the ATFs definition of C&R like if an action for a new gun is cool or modern millsurp or whatever), I understand having multiple hunting rifles or shotguns for different game or having multiple target rifles or clay shotguns for different sports shooting.
I don't understand having 15 copies of what is basically the same fucking AR.

I agree with you op. I have the same 20in and a carbine, and a handful of pistols, but now I find im talking myself into a pistol AR and some more handguns that really wouldn't serve a purpose that isn't already covered. I imagine it's a lot like any other hoarding/ addiction issue. I remember reading somewhere that unnecessary amassing of guns can be related to a lack of control or stability in other aspects in life and serves some psychological function to make you feel like you can maintain control. It's definitely a possiblity with me looking at my past.

i am really enjoying .32 HR mag but man new SW quality control is trash

everything is so gritty and the surfaces grind on each other in mostly cosmetic ways so far. how are sp101s in 327 quality wise? smooth?
>>
>>64671481
>>64671353
i am loving 100 gr high desert wadcutters and JHPs in .32 hr mag
the recoil is extremely soft. half the recoil of standard pressure 38 with more or less .38+p ballistics/effect. federal 85g jhps get like 20" of penetration too. deeper penetration but slightly less cavitation in gel than 38+p but there wasnt much in the first place so it's all shot placement. you get 6 rounds and while QC is hit or miss with SW now that's the industry standard and the 632UC has great grips.

for a 16oz gun, half the recoil of .38 with 38+p tier performance is great. if you get an SP101 which i might you can use buffalo bore's hot .32 mag loads which are .30 super carry tier.

might need to send this off a gunsmith for an action job but it works fine just meh jeet quality control compared to old SW but that's every company now for the most part. highly recommend the cartridge though.

for what extra power 38 gives you over .32 its only a little and frankly not worth the recoil, hand pain and loss of an extra bullet when you get faster and more accurate follow up shots and still in the 38+p category of overall effectiveness with the right loads
>>
>>64694172
only real downside is the ammo is expensive but you can train with 32 long from sellier and bellot since they hit about point of aim too

i enjoy the grips and actual iron sights and the ability to put this in a coat pocket and do anything with it. holster or no holster. very easy to be armed in those moments you'd normally leave your gun at home and you're not underarmed by any means either and your hand isn't going to get raped like with a .38+p in an airweight
