>>64755960>I wouldn't buy a WLVRN they haven't reviewed wellThat's the thing, years ago I was hyped about the MDR and it didn't review well so I said forget it. The WLVRN reviews extremely well, some people who gave bad reviews to the MDR/MDRX gave great reviews to the WLVRN. I can't find a single bad review about it, the only way it fails is if the gas is set too low it seems.

>>64756833I'd like to believe but idk, I need a sign or something
How would you defeat this?
>>64756743i dont think anyone says it wouldve been perfect but its worth discussing as an alternative. what we got was bottom of the barrel retarded writing so people are willing to accept any revisions
>>64756768And if it's what we'd gotten, we'd still be here talking about how that was fucking bullshit bottom-of-the-barrel writing. If there's a singular point of failure that anything stems from, it was that somewhere between 1 and 2 they decided that they wanted a big fucking war, despite 1 explicitly establishing that a big fucking war was never, EVER going to end well. Even having the Reapers get on-site within a year of finally deciding "well, Sovereign isn't going to open the door, guess we have to do this manually" completely undercuts the point of having Sovereign around in the first place. The only way to salvage it is to go back and redo ME2, as well, because while its failures were more subtle (especially with the number of people that played it compared to 1), that was where the train left the rails, it just took another game for the crash to play out.
>>64756828>completely undercuts the point of having Sovereign around in the first placenot completely. the second point of the conduit is to decapitate galactic governance, not just act as an expedient path into the galaxy. approaching conventionally through dark space loses that advantage. but as much as i like ME2, I do agree that people have a point when they say it advances very little narratively from 1. But I don't agree that it was unsalvageable with it.
>>64756828ME2 they blew their load too early and was a prime example of writing yourself into a corner though weirdly not the worst example. Pretty much every vidya IP at the time was more or less doing that where "victory" was so hilariously implausible that they kept throwing a bullshit deus ex machina to try and turn it around and it just left an unsatisfying conclusion. If I was to name a few then Halo, Gears of War, Dead Space and Resistance franchises are all arguably guilty of this.
>>64750872One of these does the job. Or any spaceship from any sci-fi setting where the warships don't mysteriously have the firepower of peashooters.
Writefag here, I’m looking for real “out there” firearms that are advanced looking but not too impractical for my sci-fi setting.
>>64754777The ayylmao is old hat. The dragon is the new hot thang.
>>64754501Pretty much anything experimental from the Cold War era is gonna be your ticket
>>64754501>advanced looking but not too impractical-G11 (The caseless ammo is the most futuristic thing about it; there is no need to eject shell cases. I'm reminded of Halo's Needler; make as many guns as you can that are caseless.)-P90 (The top mag that lays flat is every sci-fi enthusiast's wet dream; you could make many designs where the mag lays flat on the gun from the top, bottom, or even the side; after I was done writing my answer I scrolled down to see this >>64754742, it has great creativity. Plus, ejecting from the bottom is great if you don't want to design all your guns to use caseless ammo.)-Kriss Vector (Having the barrel in front of your hand rather than the bottom of your hand helps reduce recoil greatly.)-GM6 Lynx (Another bullpup like the P90 I mentioned. Bullpups have certain design challenges that make people hesitate in adopting them; in sci-fi we can assume they have all been solved. Make a bullpup anti-material rifle, make a bullpup grenade launcher, etc.)-Mateba Model 6 Unica (Same reason as the Kriss Vector.)-An extremely powerful railgun/coilgun that needs to be recharged after every shot.-Minigun turret that has less than 6 barrels for a slower fire rate (inspired by the Halo turret).>>64754523The G11 had many problems irl: it was hard to disassemble and maintain, got really dirty, its round recoiled as much as a .308 while only delivering the power of a 5.56.>>64754800Why didn't I remember this one? The Maxim is a great addition to a sci-fi list, and we'd definitely see more integrally suppressed firearms if they weren't so heavily restricted here in the US, where half of the world's firearms reside.Comment too long. >>64756879>The G11 had many problems irl: it was hard to disassemble and maintain, got really dirty, its round recoiled as much as a .308 while only delivering the power of a 5.56.I forgot to continue this; despite having so many shortcomings in real life, in a sci-fi setting they are irrelevant. All those problems could be written away.

>>64755977Nah c’mon. That’s a gay job but you can’t be a retard and be any type of analysis. You’re at least communicating professionally and doing basic arithmetic regularly. How tf are you going to tell me someone with a STEM degree from a flagship going math and speaking professionally every day is retarded? C’mon man.
>>64756034If you know how stupid a bachelor's degree is you should know letting people in with a GPA below a 3.3 is just stupid. If you can't maintain a B+ average when most classes the requirement is to just show up, participate, follow instructions, and not blatantly use AI, you're too dumb to lead people.
>>64756459First of all, nobody with a proper STEM degree gets a 3.3. A diligent student in STEM can easily have a 2.5. Second, the grades are meaningless. They only show you were compliant with the coursework, bullshit coursework. They mean literally nothing important. Simply showing up and doing the bare minimum gets you 2.0 but nobody should care because you’re doing the bare minimum of nonsense. If anything you’re smarter if you choose not to waste your time on BS.
>>64756459Also, a lot of people just need to mature but once they get the grades they’re permanent. Caring about what a candidate got on a test at 18 when they’re 25, which is what valuing GPA does, is idiotic. The whole college degree requirement is stupid. They mean nothing. You mean to tell me a guy with a 4,0 who has flipped burgers for the last 7 years would be a better officer than a smart 7 year enlisted? It’s boneheaded.
>>64755265Are you from that /pol/ thread yesterday?I thought I answered your question pretty good. Guess not.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India. They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India. If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful. I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil. Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?
Dont want to reread the thread but did he take a loan out for this shit? If so wont the interest fuck him if he doesnt move these fairly quick?

That makes them unusual collectables, so don't undersell yourself too far. If you're not getting action, put some on temporary price reduction every now and then at random shake up your market and get your buyers looking & waiting for discounts. The raffle idea is pretty solid, too.>>64745145WWJJD?Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45>definitely suitable for home defense>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest controlYes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.
>>64755879Point out what part was delusional. Be specific. Post your 5.7. Here’s what I’d have for my “woods gun” if taking a pistol. Now it’s your turn.
>>6473870299% of gun owners don’t reload
>>64733430Because. 9 sometimes isn't subsonic. Every 45 acp is subsonic. Period.
>>64756822that's their problem and their loss.people who don't have the aptitude for handloading shouldn't be allowed to own guns.
>>64756844I actually 100% agree with that but the dubs on your post confirm that .44 Magnum > .45 Colt, sorry.

>>64751848Zoomers are honestly fucking pathetic, the whole "Turner Diaries now! TND! Race War now!" Zoomers can't cook, fix a flat, or even maintain eye contact for 3 seconds, never mind fight a fucking race war. Starting with this piece of shit. Any gun that gets a cracked frame within 20,000 rounds is an irredeemable hunk of absolute dogshit. That isn’t even a high round count for 9mm. Glock runs circles around beretta.

>>64756609Just buy a spare one. Unless you really think you need to change it. The locking block kit is available from Beretta for like 35 bucks, so it’s not expensive. If you wanna change it out, go ahead, but I’d definitely keep one handy regardless just in case since they’re so inexpensive.
>>64756609do it now or wait till it breaks. you dont know how many rounds it has through it. either you assume the worst or you say fuck it and let it ride.if its a carry gun that you have to count on its always a good idea to replace everyspring and possible breakage point in a used gun. if its a range toy who cares. if something breaks you go home order replacements and wait a few weeks no big deal.

>>64756634.35 rem is like 120 years old and you can get a henry 336 in .35 rem (I think it's only in the all brass receiver though).marlin made 336s in .35 rem since like the 50s or something. it's been a meme for a while. marlin guns also just look better than Henry guns. for some reason henry just makes the ugliest guns known to man. the only Henry gun that looks nice is the engraved? wildlife model that's only in .30-30 with the gold deer or .45-70 with the elk and bear and even then the stock on the .30-30 looks worse than a marlin 336 stock.
>>64756670>the only Henry gun that looks nice is the engraved? The one I saw is not engraveed, it's a "fancy" rcvr cover with roll embossing, that adds bulk and rattles. Not worth the price and looks gaudy.
