Hey /k/, favor to ask. I have to run a quick errand, mind keeping an eye on this Horton Ho 229 for me? I'll be back in 30, 40 minutes tops. While I'm gone, don't you mess with my Horton ok? OK. Thanks.

Oh shit! That have it put together now? The last time I was at Dulles, the fuselage was all they had, and it was hanging vertically in the work bay. I need to go back, it's been too long.

It is one of these weird cases it manages to be right for all the wrong reasons. Gyrojet ammo does go bad and give it a few years probably will be completely useless.

Good question and I don't know nor could I find anything. I assume it is similar to the difference between musketeer and fusilier regiments in the old prussian army: regiment raised before 1740 =Musketeer; regiment raised after 1740 = Fusilier

Mostly just ceremonial and shore duty up until WW2, when they served as MPs. Only combat they saw was one man wounded by Japanese gunfire from a submarine shelling defensive emplacements.

prob my goty for 2025 honestly, supports different playstyles and the world has a cool feeling despite (sometimes because of) the sparse art and it feels very baroque influenced too.

The fact that I can play super cautious taking shots and tossing grenades around cover OR just slide and air dash into point-blank with a shotgun and magnum is great.
I just finished act 3 and that first level in the water world with all the dead angels was honestly kinda beautiful.

It doesn't help that pretty much everything you go up against is something that a far-right schizo conspiracy is based around.
>>
>>64745491
What the fuck are you actually talking about, Swat 4 had nothing like what you describe and presentation wise it had a big, thick layer between the reality of a situation and what you actually see. The domestic terrorists who wanted to bomb a hotel because they didn't want a corporation owning a historical building. The anti-abortion activists shooting up a stem cell research lab. And all the goons wearing hockey masks and reused cartoony faces. The maps had good environmental design but SWAT4 clearly had a shitload of generic bad guys with no depth whatsoever.

What does "doing something with it" even fucking mean. Doing what, cutscenes of judge crying?
>>
>>64733831
Daily reminder it is entirely possible to do a non lethal takedown playthrough of SWAT4 using 9mm FMJ.

Both. Sks is great as one of the last semi autos available and the ammo is still cheap however the mosin shoots a full power old world rifle round and there's still cheap corrosive ammo for it so it only costs like $0.60rd which is great for a full power rifle round.

I shot one not too long ago and was surprised to find it was a SAO internal hammer instead of a striker. I wonder if that makes it easier for the slide to rack somehow.
>>64745792
Because it's designed for arthritic women to be able to load and it's got those tabs on the side of the follower like a Ruger Mark IV.
>>
>>64748757
But why can't arthritic women just load 8 rounds into a 15 round mag?
>>
>>64748757
>I wonder if that makes it easier for the slide to rack somehow.
Yes it does, since the hammer is always cocked that's one less thing to resist when racking. And the geometry of the slide and hammer can be adjusted so that cocking the hammer provides most of the necessary resistance to the slide when firing, using the hammer itself as a sort of lever-delay system. This is handy because the slide has the least amount of leverage at the start of the cycle where you want the most resistance, and increasing leverage towards the end of the cycle where you a little more margin for error for reliability. This is a common thing to do when tuning a 1911, the amount of bevel on the bottom of the firing pin plate has a huge impact on what recoil spring you need.
>>
>>64748929
The Shield EZ magazine has finger tabs that protrude outside the magazine tube (like you commonly see on .22's) that you can pull down to make it even easier to get cartridges into the magazine. Doing that with a double stack magazine would make it even wider and unwieldy for grandma's arthritic hands.
>>
>>64749005
Meaning it's MUCH easier to load 8 rounds into the Shield EZ's magazine than it is to load 8 rounds into a normal high-cap double stack magazine. It really does handle as easily as a .22 pistol, but shoots 9mm. And even then the recoil is soft as fuck. It really is an amazing bit of engineering.

>>
>Novocherkassk
where is that?

>that's burning transformer oil
afaik transformers are harder to replace than to destroy the actual boilers and such
>>
>>64748909
To be fair, transformers are their targets, since russia has no means of securing replacements (since ukraine already bought up any excess global supply for the next few years at least, lmao)
>>
>mfw we have a 36kV to 400V transformer at work sitting unused since they switched to 11kV
how would one go about smuggling such a thing out, and selling it while staying under the radar?
>>
>>64748927
Do it in the open by selling to Ukraine, they still need them because global manufacturing can't keep up with the demands of this war.
>>
>>64748919
Those big grid transformers are usually built to order, they aren't the sort of thing you leave lying around in storage due to bulk and how rarely you need to replace them at short notice. There's a weird one near me that steps down from 132kv to 11kv and its a one of a kind.

Russia has for the first time deployed new strike drones, the 'Geran-5' and 'Geran-4'.
>Russian forces first used the new strike drone 'Geran-5' during attacks on Ukraine in early 2026, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. The drone is a large jet-powered UAV with a classic aerodynamic design, differing from earlier models.
>The 'Geran-5' has a length of about 6 meters and a wingspan of about 5.5 meters. It is equipped with a Chinese-made turbojet engine, capable of carrying a warhead weighing about 90 kg and hitting targets at a distance of up to 1,000–1,050 km. Its navigation system includes a 12-channel 'Comet' satellite system, a microcomputer-based tracker, and 3G/4G modems.
>According to Ukrainian intelligence, the design of the 'Geran-5' contains elements similar to the Iranian drone Karrar. There are discussions about the possibility of launching this UAV from aircraft, such as the Su-25, and its potential equipping with 'air-to-air' missiles.
>As for the 'Geran-4', it is known that it is an intermediate jet version between the early 'Geran' models and the new 'five'. According to preliminary data, this drone may have a warhead weighing about 50 kg, a speed of 350–500 km/h, a range of up to 950 km, and can also be launched from the Su-25.
>Thus, the 'Geran-5' is a new jet-powered long-range strike UAV, comparable in its characteristics to a cruise missile, while the 'Geran-4' is considered its less powerful predecessor

The Pachmayr grip adapters can also be found on ebay for sub $50, and I see what look like metal ones that seem to be a modern copy of the Tyler grip also for sub $50 (search Ajax), so you can defiantly get what youd want without having to spend the $100+ that real vintage Tyler grips ask for
