Boring topic but I'm finally happy with what I've cobbled together from different components I've acquired over the years. Covers 5.56, 7.62, and 40mm bores.

I'm a milfag who works for a living so no 9mm handgun for me. Does double duty for both my personal rifle and my issued weapons.

>1. Repurposed Otis 5.56/9mm Defender cleaning kit pouch
Not the only thing that'll work, but I like that it clamshells open. Got it as a gift. I pulled most of the extra shit out of it because having pull through cables and bore snakes in addition to a full on sectional cleaning rod is just redundant. Use one or the other.

>2. Two rags
Just a cut up t shirt. One for wiping shit off with, one for laying small parts on. PSA: You can, in fact, wash these every once in a while.

>3. Otis stiff bristle brush
Have gone back and forth on carrying a brass one too but I've either never needed it or the shit was baked on so hard (M240 gas plug) I had to use a scraper.

>4. Plastic pick
For all the things a long, slim, pointy object is good for when trying to clean tight spaces.

>anybody know if this kind of cleaning rod exists in brass?
>i mean the length, seems like most brass are 3 piece and too long.
I looked far and wide back when I was still tisming out about it and couldn't anything the right size in brass or aluminum.

I have since ceased to care. I can't even scratch the finish off the barrel with one of these rods. My bores are all chrome. I have seen exactly zero documented evidence of any damage to the bore of a rifle (even super soft autism PRS stainless) by a cleaning rod rubbing the inside. Just boomers on the internet insisting it's real because it's always been that way.

They're made of some kind of mystery mild steel. Never seen the spec sheet. Hardness spec? IDK. I might find someone to put a tester on it to satisfy my curiosity. But I'm fairly confident that it's in the same annealed state (70ish Rockwell B) it came from the mill as bar stock in. There is zero spring to it if you bend it - which is why you should follow the manual and always pull it through the bore rather than push.

For reference the temper spec on an M4 barrel is between 28-33 Rockwell C. See pic related for how high on the B scale you have to be to even show up on the C scale.

Sounds like what I'm going to end up doing. Spares for each kind of gun end up getting a marker labeled baggie which will go in a can or box. Furniture...I might have to go custom crates on that with plastic sheet on bottom so they slide. Just too big to go in any other place; have a spare AR and AK set and that's already a lot of space, not even getting into having spares for guns with one piece wood stocks.

Merry Christmas you beautiful anons!

If you haven't received your package, please submit an email to me and we will start tallying the late arrivals, and then sorting between folks who are likely to get theirs in the next few days vs those who the dreaded USPS has lost forever. We will be dispatching the Grinch Relief Corps (GRC) as needed to remedy. Send grinch relief applications to wendigohunter at protonmail dot com

Merry Christmas to all of you anons, but I didn't participate because, well... Considering this is 4Chan, you can get fedded or sent 60 unpaid pizzas.
idk doesn't seem worth it
sounds like an awful idea
Because. Giving sensitive info to random internet strangers that have probable cause to think you're a danger to society (because you use 4Chan) is probably not the best idea.

Am I just a paranoid schizo bros? Have there ever been cases of anons doing something like this to another anon? Considering anons now know the address of the other anon and can fuck them up if their insane.

The problem isn't the concept of a super-Zumwalt in and of itself. The issue is that the rail-guns still don't actually work, the ability of the the US to actually build the things is questionable at best, and that it's supposed to replace the DDG(X). Essentially the USN has canceled the third meaningful attempt to field a replacement for the Ticonderogas and older Burkes, and replaced it with sci-fi vaporware. This is the kind of thing the Kremlin does when they can't compete with the US in some weapons category but don't want to concede inferiority. Either the USN has decided that missile destroyers are becoming obsolete or US shipbuilding capabilities have atrophied so badly that they've realized they can't compete with the PRC in this domain right now. Either way it seems the US surface fleet will be getting inadequate numbers of a maxed-out design for the foreseeable future.

The German-style Red Ball Express, covering the vast distance between Tripoli and El Alamein, would have required more than the number of transport vehicles needed for a single army corps.

Had they been a little less successful there or France's leadership been a little less unapologetically dogshit at their jobs, ww2 would have been the franco-prussian war 2 electric bogaloo but with the germans getting fucked instead. It is crazy how perfectly everything went for them at the start.
Now we have to endure midwits glazing the german generals and gear when they were slightly above average at best, had pretty retarded plans and happened to get lucky at the right times for a while.

If luck is constantly on your side, you're just that good.

It's almost time for $0 tax stamps. You can finally, legally, have fun. Buy a $400 P1S from Bambu, some Pa6-cf filament from polymaker, and get to work.

Some 3dp2a guys released the FTN 5.0 suppressors recently. There are suppressors for pistols, pcc's, and rifles. Let's talk about the last one.

To start out you will need ONE of these muzzle devices:
>Breek threaded muzzle+ Castle Shield <-Best one
>KAK slimline micro flash can
>1/2x28 to 3/4x16 thread adapter

Now you can print an insert that will attach the suppressor body to the muzzle device. The breek insert is a clamshell design. Put the two halves onto the castle shield and screw on the suppressor assembly. The other two will need some epoxy.

IF you want the suppressor to be permanent, epoxy the threads of the insert and suppressor body. It'll help with the longevity and make a better gas seal.

The main body will NEED to be supported by a sleeve. You can print the sleeve, but the lifespan is shorter with a lot of restrictions. You can use a 56mm ID and 60mm OD aluminum OR carbon fiber tube with jb weld. You can also use fiberglass and resin wrapped around the tube, but this is less effective.

Eritrea is basically what happens if a former Italian colony run by Africans tries to be the DPRK but with all of the downsides and none of the benefits.

Their primary strengths are tenacity, a decent aptitude at trench warfare and a government that is somewhere between Pol Pot and Idi Amin minus the syphilis.

I think I finally understand what makes channels enjoyable to me, and it really is just an autist excited to show you shit he's passionate about. Channels that suck shit are the ones trying to sell themselves as a character or influencer. I noticed this when watching watch modders and builders. Some of them are just autistic retards talking about the minutiae of a movement, whereas we have other faggots doing edits showing their stupid fucking face and trying to give you a montage of them thinking or some dumb shit. IV8888 is just a fat redneck with a high school education that worked at a store and for a second got to dream about being anything but that, but that is all he is, and he really wants you think otherwise. Tit for tat escalation could go a lot of ways between China and the US but eventually one of those tits or tats does indeed involve stealth aircraft wreaking havoc in a very one sided manner. I seem to see a lot of yellows on here filling the gap as Russia completely drowns in embarrassment, but most of what they spout involves taking out a single CSG in the South China Sea and then… what? The US gets sad and leaves? Sort of retarded logic.

There’s not even a thermocline layer. That’s the kind of shit that makes these pathetic threads so entertaining.

Speaking of regional oddities, everyone forgets that Australia has JORN. A bloody great look-down radar system that bounces its signals off the ionosphere. The official stated range for air and sea coverage is about 4,000 km, but back in the 90's the RAAF was already demonstrating the ability to monitor Chinese missile launches near Taiwan and feed that intelligence to the USN. That was with the prototype array, and it's had several upgrades since then.
Supposedly the odd angle it bounces from makes it a bit more effective against stealth aircraft than most, since it's hitting them from above rather than the faces more optimised for RCS, though nobody's accused it of being stealth-beating as such.

Here is how tanks can win.

The chain doesn't need to be very thick, just strong enough to support a very high RPM, and also collision against drones.

Even if the chain breaks, the spool can just release more chain.

There should be some dynamic counter weight to keep things balanced.

An a chain will never be as fast as a Katana spun by a true master.
>>
Why are people here so butthurt about OP's idea?
You don't need much to destroy a drone, a chain could work.

But not any chain, it would need to be a bycicle chain, with it would could transfer the energy more easily into the rotation of the chain.
>>
Russian engineers already solved this OP, the turret flying off presents a not 0 chance of striking a drone that might hit another tank
>>
>>64693135

The only viable antidrone turret is a .22 minigun. Tanks with tiny c-rams is the future.

What if instead of a chain we put a big gun on it and instead of spinning it around we just point it at the drones and shoot them?
