Besides Malaya, are there any examples of bicycle infantry actually being useful?
Dirt bikes are far more effective. The Taliban proved that in spades.
Bicycles would have been quite convenient on paved roads in urban areas, but on gravel roads, tires would likely wear out quickly. Japanese soldiers in Malaya eventually removed their flat tires and tubes before riding.
>>64340537But do you want to find her?
>>64339237>Besides NICHE SITUATION are there any examples of NICHE TACTIC actually being useful?Wow, great question. Lot to think about there
>>64339237I could only imagine a bike being useful in a very destroyed city that is impassable to regular vehicles.
What chance do they stand? It appears that the Turks are going to support the Syrian/HTS offensive to destroy the Kurds as the government has already starting shelling Tishreen Dam.
>>64339170Kurds are pretty cool. they don't allah snackbar when their ambushes succeed, they break into applause, which I think is hilarious.
>>64340927They're not much better though.Honor killings of family members and spouses that don't drink the kurdish cool aid, suicide attacks with explosive vests on civilians, regular knoife incidents are among the popular export goods of kurds. You just don't hear a lot of it because there are relatively few kurds in total, and when they attack they usually attack muslims. They're better than isis, but otherwise not much more than an "enemy of my enemy" kinda friend.
>>64339094Yeah, but who? Your choice is basically Russia or China, because the Kurds are a bunch of commies that hate the US and Turkey. Well, mostly Turkey, but the US due to its relationship with Turkey as well.People want Kurds to be this heckin wholesome chungus, but it's honestly the Taliban in Afghanistan all over again. They're not wholesome, they're an ethno-nationalist movement with strong ties to Marxism. Does that make them bad? Not really, but they're not exactly on the shortlist of US allies.

I am young and broke just starting my career, I will hopefully be able to afford a proper safe soon, but not yet.I need some help with creative but discrete locations to keep my firearms in my home. Obviously I could spend money on these silly "freedom frame" or furniture that turns into a gun storage, but I dont have money for that either. I need to improvise. One thought is I can use velcro straps under my table to keep my rifle. I live alone and children/safety is not a concern. I just dont want my guns to be out of sight and out of mind.Looking specifcally for long guns, but ideas for handguns are welcome as long as its better than putting it in a stack of T shirts.

Why hasn't Russia used chemical/biological/radiological weapons in Ukraine? They're complete animals and have no problem killing and torturing civilians and POWs so it's clearly not a moral issue. Putin is retarded enough to start the conflict so he's retarded enough to do whatever. Their situation is bad and unsustainable so they'd probably be looking for any advantage. They can veto UNSC measures to do something about it and the General Assembly's condemnations mean nothing. The Chinksects will probably just complain to save face but still trade with Russia, the Frogs, Bongs and Krauts won't commit any forces because they fear "EsCaLaTiOn", Orange Man is cucked enough to do fuckall about it and Thirdies are pro-Russia enough to not care. The Kremlin already considers Russian lives worthless so they won't give a shit about how it affects them unless it becomes an oligarch's problem or something. I legit just don't see why Russia hasn't dropped sarin or mustard gas or caesium-137 on Ukrainian civilians yet. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>>64335254Yeah the AK FRT SS market is super underdeveloped, and IMO it is actually one of the most promising. My two position AK FRT has been working flawlessly for nearing 1200 rounds total, maybe 1300 actually I need to double check. The design of the cam is such that the force to actuate the reset is transferred through a very durable tough piece, as opposed to the lever designs for the AR platform. The trip bar which is arguably the weakest part is only subject to moderate forces. I've got the three position function checking by hand decently well right now, so long as you don't crank down on the trigger to hard. Going to work on it more a bit here. I don't know if AK receiver and carrier specs are tight enough in terms of tolerances, but matching the cam and trip bar to a particular spec fire control group, auto disconnector, and auto safety, for a near drop in three position AK FRT SS that keeps the original OG aesthetic... we're not far from that.
>>64338526Very based. Will it use the OG safety selector?

Since we're now in "holiday season " I wanted to reach out to everyone and see if there were people still interested in participating this year. Last couple years have gone smoothly and I have a pretty good list of people who have been good Santas, and a naughty list of course. Still got the same email as last year, S G T S A N T A 4 2 @ G M A I L, anyone interested in helping organize the event should reach out. I think what's realistic based on the last two-year is to have 2 rounds for U.S.A. and another round for international, shipping deadlines by Dec 1 (will definitely be there for /k/mas) and Dec 15 for USA and Dec 1 for international. Tiers will be based on the minimum amount spent, at $0 $20, $50, 100$+. If there are enough people to do something like 250+, that can probably be arranged (really only need 2 people). I'm excited to spread some more /K/hristmas-y goodness, delicious Eastern European chocolates and milsurp, and maybe, just maybe, another knildo.
Never have and probably never will, but I respect the spirit
>>64339989Are you able to push the international to mid November? I've had multiple years where EU and Australian customs have held packages in gulag for 4 weeks or more because they're gigafaggots....I miss BigBoss and the old santa website...

Hypothetically speaking, let's just say I'm the new leader of a politically unstable, resource-rich, third-world country. My nation is being plagued by terrorists who are funded by a neighboring power, and local security forces are not up to snuff to deal with the threat. How feasible of an idea is it to hire a PMC and integrate them into the military or security services and allow them to execute operations against the enemy?
>>64340358Retarded thread, not enough specifics to actually answer your question. The resources in question, are they actively being exploited and providing you with cash flow or are they merely theoretical avenues of income? Is this "neighboring power" a peer adversary to you or will they absolutely fuck your shit if you attack them directly? Are you a pariah state that's actively being sanctioned by the civilized world or are you on good terms with the major powers?Speaking generally though, you'd be better off hiring PMCs to train and advise your own local security forces and spend the extra money you'd pour into paying the PMCs to actually fight on better equipping your own soldiers. When I hear "politically unstable" I think "you want a competent military on your side".
>>64340358>Integrate pmcThey are whore with guns. Keeping them you get a coup to prolong warfare. Use them conduct forced drafting by abduction and reserve your inner party to mop them up as the good guy
