You're a moron.

Polar bears are one of the only animals besides maybe tigers that actively prey on humans under normal circumstances.

I haven't even spent time around them IRL and I absolutely don't get the "fren shaped" vibe from them. More like the quote from Jaws about "dead eyes...like a doll's eyes" or The Thing.

>is it explained how the RDA trip to Pandora works?
Yes, it'S one of the better parts of the setting.

The ships are shown in the first two movies, and make quite a lot of sense. They use a bigass lightsasil and a huge orbitla laser to accelerate away from Sol, to about .7c

Then they fold the laser sail, flip the bigass mirror shield forward as a whipple shield, use spin gravity for the small caretaker crews that take shifts to be unfrozen and coast for most of the way.
They have a bunch of pretty big bubble tanks for anti-hydrogen and hydrogen, which they use for the braking burn, they have magnetically shielded annihilation-powered plasma thrusters.
Then they unload supplies and crew, load returning crew and the ore and whale brain or whatever it was, and use more of their fuel to accelerate back towards Sol.
Braking can be done with the laser sail again.

I do not know if the RDA runs a hydrogen/anti hydrogen gathering/generating operation on the gas giant, but it would make a lot of sense to do it this way.

All in all, this is relatively hard SciFi, if no magic or reality breaking FTL tech. The only thing stopping us from doing this is actually the extreme difficulty of making antimatter.

>I think the reason they want the "unobtanium" from Pandora is they can use it for better spacecraft.
Yeah it's a room temp superconductor and somewhere in one of the screenplays or notes or something it says it's used to build superconducting magnets that contain antimatter for the ship engines. The first ones they sent out had to use liquid helium cooled magnets and were much bigger and bulkier. It's also mentioned somewhere that the company owns and operates a planetwide maglev transit network on Earth that makes use of it. I don't know why they don't just drop a few lines of dialogue outlining this stuff for viewers instead of leaving it scribbled in the margins of a script or notebook somewhere.

>Saying it's "finnicky" just means you've never looked inside one.
Ejecting behind the magazines is a finicky solution. It requires the bolt to travel all the way back. If it doesn't quite go all the way back the case wont be ejected but a new one will still be stripped from the magazine.

They are afraid of shooting themselves, here's a quick data point about how many don't.

>Nearly nine out of every 10 of the weapons found were loaded, the TSA said, and of those a third had a round chambered. The guns were found at 249 of the nation's 440 airports where TSA conducts the screening.
>>
>>64696059

There is evidence that he was trying to cause his own death by drawing the handgun and pointing it in the direction of the officer.

- his subsequent utterances of “just kill me”
- his family who has since given background on his mental state
- he acted with extreme recklessness consistent with a suicidal individual

Even though he acted with extreme recklessness as mentioned, even towards the life of the officer, his motive was to affect his own death, so it doesn’t fit on the prongs of an attempted murder.

Women get fat in all the best places 1st. Men store fat in the stomach, neck, and chin more than anything. Women store it in the upper arms, thighs, ass, and tits. As long as they don't overdo it, a woman can still be attractive with extra body fat in all those places, sometimes a little pudge actually makes them look better . They don't really develop a serious gut until they've either had kids, or REALLY start to let themselves go.

A "failure" that forced much greater expenses on the Germans than North Africa ever did. Taking Italy out of the war wholesale and forcing the Germans to both occupy it and dedicate an army to stall the allied advance by itself changed the strategic picture of the war, and not in Germany's favour.

Had they been a little less successful there or France's leadership been a little less unapologetically dogshit at their jobs, ww2 would have been the franco-prussian war 2 electric bogaloo but with the germans getting fucked instead. It is crazy how perfectly everything went for them at the start.
Now we have to endure midwits glazing the german generals and gear when they were slightly above average at best, had pretty retarded plans and happened to get lucky at the right times for a while.

Israel flies about 66 F-15s and they've all been used extensively in their recent campaign to destroy the terrorists from Hamas by targeting civilians instead. So it's likely that after decades using them, their airframes must be in dire need of replacement. Plus the F-15EX is ultra fucking modern, even when compared to the avionics that the Foreskin Munching tribe can develop domestically.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/8614832/Japanese-man-admits-raping-and-strangling-British-teacher-Lindsay-Ann-Hawker.html

>Lindsay Ann Hawker (30 December 1984 – 24 March 2007) was a 22-year-old British teacher who was killed in Japan in early 2007 by Tatsuya Ichihashi (市橋 達也 Ichihashi Tatsuya), a 28-year-old Japanese man from Chiba Prefecture.[1] Ichihashi was seen fleeing his apartment,[2] and police sought him for the murder of Hawker and the abandonment of her corpse.

>On 10 November 2009, Japanese news media and BBC News reported that the police had apprehended Ichihashi.[3][4] On 5 July 2011, Ichihashi confessed to killing Hawker, stating that he smothered her to prevent her from screaming while he raped her.[5] He was sentenced to life imprisonment on 21 July 2011.[6

http://listverse.com/2018/03/30/10-dark-facts-about-issei-sagawa-the-japanese-celebrity-cannibal/

>Issei Sagawa (佐川 一政 Sagawa Issei, born April 26, 1949)[1] also known as Pang, is a Japanese man who, while living in Paris in 1981, killed and cannibalized a Dutch woman named Renée Hartevelt. After his release from two years of pre-trial detention upon being found legally insane, he became a minor celebrity in Japan and made a living through public interest.

>At 23, in Tokyo, Sagawa followed a tall German woman home, then broke into her apartment while she was sleeping with intent to cannibalize her by tearing and walking away with a small part of her flesh. She awoke and, Sagawa claims, pushed him to the ground. He was captured by police and charged with attempted rape. He did not confess his true intentions to authorities.[4]

>On June 11, 1981, Sagawa, then 32, invited his Sorbonne classmate Renée Hartevelt to dinner at his apartment under the pretext of translating poetry for a school assignment. He planned to kill and eat her, having selected her for her health and beauty - characteristics he felt he lacked. Sagawa considered himself weak, ugly, and small (he is 1.448 m (4 ft 9 in) tall)[5] and claims he wanted to absorb her energy. She was 25 years old and 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in).[6] After she arrived, she began reading poetry at a desk with her back to him. He shot her in the neck with a rifle. Sagawa said he fainted after the shock of shooting her, but awoke with the realization that he had to carry out his plan.[2] He raped her corpse but was unable to bite into her skin, so he left the apartment and purchased a butcher knife.[2] For two days, Sagawa ate various parts of her body, saving other parts in his refrigerator. He took photographs at each stage.[7]

What went wrong?

NTA but I did see a lot of talk about when they swapped from single to dual springs on the gen 3 to gen 4 swap that people were reporting cracking on the nose ring when dropped.
