Like most PSA products, the first 6-12 months had some problems but most of those got ironed out. I have a jakl, which is technically a sabre product (relating to production techniques and QC) and it has been reliable, quite accurate (haven't actually put match ammo through it though) and came from the factory with a good fit and finish, aside from being comically overgassed. It does have a gas adjust, of course.

How is infecting someone with Anthrax or spraying Agent Orange around a forest worse than using regular bombs and nukes?

Nobody wants to deal with decon/ppe/dying horribly for negligible military benefit so we all agreed not to.
>>
>>65045876
A nuke goes off in a single spot and the radiation dissipates within weeks.
A normal bomb is the same but without the radiation.
Orange crush kills the plants and defoliates the area, then sticks in the soil for anywhere from a year to several decades depending on where it leaches into, causing issues in the local population for what can sometimes be generations.
Anthrax, especially anti-biotic resistant strains, can get around terrifyingly easily, and is just as liable to fuck up the guys dropping it as the guys being hit by it.

I think while there wouldn't be any usage of chemical or bioweapon on humans, farmland is probably the best spot to use chemical and bioweapon.

>very easy
what happens if someone who owns a corporation, gets a corporate multi million dollar life insurance policy, leaves the country, then slowly uses that policy to pay themselves back tax free?
what happens if someone physically puts their cash into assets in another country then leaves?
how do you tax properties and assets?
etc.
Just let them fucking leave, trying to do the communist thing of “you leave we steal from you” just inspires them to evade taxation and never come back, none of those individuals are responsible for the problems with Canada so punishing them is meaningless.
For starters I want the shitty carbon tax to be removed because it’s retarded and pointless, visa and ((refugee)) claims to go down massively, and for price fixing bullshit to be cracked down on aggressively (since just about EVERY company from Loblaws to Shell has done it now consequence free, if the price of goods goes up 20 cents, they’re adding 40-50 cents to the price now and nobody knows wiser.)

Lol bro you've no idea what living in America is like. Half the losers in here crying wouldn't accomplish anything in America either. Your country is one of the richest on the planet. If you're a broke loser it's 100% a you problem for not making it in one of the easiest countries to live in and be wealthy in on the planet.

You keep bringing up money anyway like poorfags. I'm not looking to make a couple grand extra. Nonone cares about that I'm not at that income level where id uproot my entire livelihood for a couple grand.

It's purely an experience thing for me. Yes, I am successful enough to take a few years off (working) to live in another country of my choosing.

>Legislate 15% “exit tax” or “taxit” on the total wealth of people leaving the country
That doesn't work though because most of the "brain drain" we're experiencing is people who have just graduated or are early in their careers so 15% of their wealth is nothing especially compared to foreign salaries.

All of your other proposals will just keep people who have left from wanting to return to Canada which would just exacerbate the problem.

/frtssg/ - Forced Reset Trigger & Super Safety General

Previous:>>64899646

What are FRTs:
Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.

AR-15 is the most ubiquitous platform with the most amount of options. Other platforms have other nuances.

How viable are battlemechs as weapons of war?

Does having legs make them too vulnerable?
266 replies and 56 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>65051724
You can replace the treads on a tank in an hour or so with just the crew in the field.

How long and with what equipment do you need to swap out the damaged leg on a Mech?
>>
>>64905155
Maybe it's the goblin-fucker
>>
>>65051932
Also, if you bust the track on a tank, the tank stops moving.
If you bust the leg on a Mech, the entire thing falls over. Which is going to cause even more damage and make it even harder to fix
>>
>>65051942
Let's keep the criticism consistent with thr setting's lore

Because of the whole myomer shebang, there is a weight benefit for the two legs over treads of equivalent carrying capacity and the joints themselves are fairly robust and hard the hit, same as on an individual infantryman, since they aren't rotating servomotors, but just a mechanical fulcrum about which the synthetic muscle wraps.

Concentrated fire on a leg would damage strands of myomer, reducing the total force a bundle could exert, thus slowing movement - not instantly tipping the whole thing over. A battlemech already has enough surplus muscle power to get going at 30-130kph, so I reckon it could take over 50% myomer strand damage and still stand upright.

Also, the ground pressure issue isn't actually thay big - or rather, you guys commonly misattribute how much ground pressure wheeled vehicles and track vehicles put down. As depicted, BT battlemechs have no worse ground pressure than the biggest tanks.

>>65051800
This is what I'd chalk up as the biggest weakness. The "hip" are high up, so they're easy to hit, and their myomer is also the most critical to overall stability. Concentrated fire in that spot could have the torso sag, or even a leg to separate entirely, and as depicted, 90% of designs display the groin region as naked as we'd like hot girls to have it at the beach

F-33 would’ve sounded cooler than F-35 I believe the aircraft is cursed because of that numerology.

Really surpriaed nobody has posted this yet. For almost twenty years it was the anti-infantry weapon of choice and then Maxim came along and made it obsolete overnight. I know it saw continued service until the very early 20th century but it was almost entirely in colonial or South American wars. Gatling even filed a patent for an electrically driven version in 1893.

Tomatoes in Europe started becoming common in local cuisines after around 200 years from the first introduction in the early 1500s. The first documentation of a contemporary pizza with tomatoes etc is around 1550s. I kinda doubt the continent where tomatoes were native wouldn't see them as a staple until the 19th century unless you're only talking about the cuisine of european colonies.

genuine Fascist officer daggers and those with the name engraved fetched an higher price than lugers and war era katanas at the time, my grandpa got offered 6 lugers for one of his gold daggers. Plenty of stories of those throphies being outright stolen by pencilpushers during form taking when going back home.
