I love how weird some of the guns in Cyberpunk can get. Like this thing, which is basically a Metal Storm pistol firing miniature guided missiles.

What makes halberds so good? I've heard they're the best polearm, but not why.
98 replies and 24 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>65033238
Yes, as flankers, banner guards, and to push when shit devolved into bad war- which would involve the pikes being interleaved or dropped and the pikemen gutting each other with swords and daggers. They adopted the pike because the halberd was a bad choice when facing cavalry who dismounted and came at them with their lances, because the halberd isn't very good at that sort of fighting compared to a long spear or pike.

>>65033257
Post examples of this actually occuring. In order to do this, you have the major problem of the pikemen outreaching you and having a substantially more nimble weapon, so they'll just stab you. You flank them by going around and actually hitting their flanks, where you can kill them and not just fuck around trying to yank their pikes around.
>>
>>65028325
That sounds like complete horseshit just like "blood grooves" in swords.

>man sized or shorter for knights in full armor to bash the shit out of each other and potentially someone not wearing armor
>mansized or bigger and it's just a spear with hooks for controlling someone else's spear
that's clearly
>spear with hooks

If, hypothetically, you had to seize and extract 1000 pounds of this stuff 300 miles behind enemy lines for a bombed-out hole in the ground, how would you do it?

>how would you do it?
Very carefully.
All joking aside, you'll want it in properly shaped and sized containers to keep it in a non-critical configuration. Part of that will require keeping the containers an appropriate distance from one another. You'll also want to pay close attention to what's holding those bottles, as hydrogenous materials will function as neutron moderators and could possibly trigger a prompt criticality. The specifics would be dictated by the level of enrichment.

Oh so they're oil rich? Ahem quick question a little point of order perhaps: how many illegal foreign shit skins does Iran have to take care of? None? You mean they're as oil rich as us without hemorrhaging out $ for invaders?
They sound like they'd be fine.
Robonigger how many engineering graduates do the USA and Iran produce each year?
5. Iran: 233,695 graduates. According to Forbes, 70% of the graduates are alleged to be women, which would suggest that they have the most women engineer graduates in the world.

4. The United States: 237,800. InsiderMonkey.com claims that only one in every 20 students majors in engineering in the US of A.

They used an entire years of missile production in the first 2 days. The Ukrainians were absolutely horrified to watch the arab retards launch $2 million missiles at $35,000 drones. There's not the physical ordinance to do what you want. It's been wasted in Ukraine and stealing missiles from Taiwan and South Korea is only ensuring Taiwan making an inevitable deal with China. A one contract vet with no deployments, he fired an AR model he owned with a cleaning rod in the barrel. Might be the smartest thing he's ever done with a weapon on his own time.
In the late 90s he overdosed on stupid plastic bodky kits that broke during firing and all kinds of shit. He got a magazine so sandwiched into a Jennings (yes be bought one) it became one with the (help me here I don't know pistols at all) slide assembly? Committing a felony and passing it over
NTA

Since the Iran war is so controversial, let's think about a war absolutely nobody would have a problem with.

This morning, the President of the United States has tasked you with preforming a great service to humanity: The invasion of India. What happens to them after the war is up to you, if you'd like to genocide them, balkanize them or maybe try to make them into a functioning country or whatever. The objectives from the POTUS are fairly straight forward.

>The destruction of the Indian military
>The destruction or control of their nuclear weapons (They do have a nuclear triad so, it's important that's nipped in the bud before any issues arise)
>The Pacification of the Indian civilian population. Through any means necessary.

ITT we talk about how we would go about destroying India and what we'd do after they've been defeated. You can go about it anyway you want, not just a military campaign - be it a direct intervention; inciting a civil war through espionage or economically. Extra points for describing the methods of depopulation.

Picrel is a map of all the major sites and military installations

It'd be funny if there actually was a dude in UCP in there because there totally could be, but so far as I know it's just a landscape pic. Basically UCP works better in southern Idaho than just about anywhere else on earth. It's the entire reason I still have my old UCP crap. That particular biome is an outright perfect color match most of the year. UCP is absolutely steaming ass in most places (unless you dye it), but in that sort of stuff you'd be a ghost. It's the only place UCP is going to shit all over just about any other pattern you can find. It's about as universal as a G11's internals.

>>65034292
Lot of southern Idaho and southeastern Oregon are great examples. It's all high desert but the biome is dominated by dry grasses and sagebrush.

the VNmese-made RPG-7 is more often called B41

What do you think of the idea of switching to bullpup rifles? I hope Vietnam one day standardizes to bull pup rifles given that they rely on under-barrel grenade launchers.

Bull pup rifle shifts a portion of the weight near the user. This makes the rifle less heavy as there's less torque acting on the user. Simply put:

Torque = distance (at a pivot) * Force

You can feel the difference in torque when you straighten your arm out and hold a bag. Even though the bag is the same weight, holding it with your hand compared to with your shoulder feels different due to torque.

Given that the traditional rifle is front heavy, attaching an under-barrel grenade launcher adds more to this effect and makes the rifle feel much heavier.

A bull pup reliefs this issue by balancing the weight. The weight of the under-barrel grenade launcher is mitigated by the weight distribution of a bull pup rifle.
