It's just a way to make the feds dependent on Musk. X gets confidential information, the military uses it and reports new information back to it. Musk then gets to leverage his access when dealing with Congress whenever they want to regulate something of his.
They then also pay him for the privilege.

You are given the power of infusing everyone who designed the Akron and Macon with a collective flash of genius constrained to the airship production process to make a design informed by some current improved knowledge of how to make airships.

Can future knowledge (but not any flat out future technology to be very clear) have pushed the Akron/Macon over the finish line into being (barely) ww2 viable machines? At least until halfway?

They don't have to be war winners or anything and they'll get lapped by planes as is inevitable but *could* there have been a set of airships built well enough for people to have remembered them.

Wow. Didn't know about these K-Class blimps. They had depth charges, a machine gun and radar. They can fly at 68 knots, fast enough to escort freighters and even fleet carriers and can loiter for up to 38 hours. Basically all that could be done with airships back then and even now.
>>
>>64673823
Most likely a bot anon, it is dumping random links that have nothing to do with airships. Saltpeter mining? gunpowder-from-guano.pdf?

This was actually experimented with by the Zeppelin company (IIRC for LZ-130 Graf Zeppelin II), not as a way to prevent fires but to reduce costs.
Since you need to valve off lifting gas as external air pressure drops, you don't really want to do that with Helium because it's expensive as fuck compared to Hydrogen.
It didn't work and the US wouldn't export thr Helium anyway

so let me get this straight: it has the profile of a ww1 tank, is slow as an interwar tank, has the armor of a ww2 tank, has the gun of a modern tank BUT with worse range, penetration, and precision, doesn't have CMs, doesn't have ERA, doesn't have an autoloader, doesn't have GPS, doesn't have telemeters or aiming softwares of any kind, it barely has an electric motor to turn the turret, it barely has a radio, and you're telling me THIS is a futuristic design?

because its a simple to build variation of the standard 'orbital bus' starship (that will probably just ferry starlinks all day). just replace the payload bay with radar, lidar, weapons, solar arrays,a battery bank,a pressurized section, refueling modules.

later you can use more complex constructions but something you can build and test on the ground in one piece and then just launch to orbit will probably be the best plan for initial armed millitary spacecraft

fuck off back to conspiratard land with the rest of the /pol/rot niggers. Ziggers have been building new military structures like helipads and underground bunkers all around the baltic borders and Konigsberg. Sat imagery verified it by rest of western intelligence.

Baltics are a very logical attack vector if you are coming from the imperial arrogance mindset the kremlin manlet tyrant has. Triple so now that NATO is effectively dead with US paralyzed with its orange brain tumor. Attacking them is the perfect place to dispel the NATO illusion and give EU a blue eye while diverting military aid of europe away from Ukraine

You have to put yourself into the head of the monke, the only real decision maker inside the looney bin. He is a seething manlet ass hurt about how he is considered one of the most longest ruling and mightiest tzars, just behind Stalin, but his borders are the smallest of them all. That and he has repeatedly stated how butthurt he was about the implosion of the vatnik union, attributing it to CIA meddling, made up promises by the west that only ever existed in his head and taking advantage of a weak tzar like Gorbachev

As long as he breaths the only place for imperial aggression will be towards west into europe. Wanting to reestablish the core of the empire while getting revenge for perceived "direspect". Caucasus and central asia were always secondary imperial colonies for further enrichment but only if the imperial core is secure

Attacking into baltics is the only place he can go now that he can't get through Ukraine. Triple so now that the western powers have never been this weak, permanently stuck from turning into zigger proxies via fifth column populists winning the next election cycle

>if they had people with enough clearance to get to the hangars, why not simply steal the planes?
By clearance, you mean two weeks of surveillance to identify the guard patrols.

As for stealing, you need:
>a pilot
>a ground crew
>fuel
>air defence clearance to not get shot down (no guarantee in Russia)
>active assistance from Ukraine to avoid hotspots on the front when you cross
The last one is the easiest to get.

I feel like a plane autist from /k/ would have a halfway decent chance of getting a jet airborne and on its way if they managed to find one that was stored as 75% prepped for launch so it could be relocated in the event of drone raids or sent out on a strike at short notice.
If it's fueled and it's just a matter of removing safety toggles and wheel chocks, you might have a hope. You might still need a few buddies to assist though and I don't know whether you can just drive a jet out of the hanger or need to fuck around with a tow tractor.
Doing all the above would drastically increase the time spent on-site and the risk of detection from people who will rape and kill you if they find you.
>>
>>64673749
Question for the plane autists: how hard is it to start a military jet plane? How hard is it to fly one if all you have flown is like a cesna or a flight sim? Landing, is it hard with something so weirdly shaped, unlike that of a simple cesna?

>Could they fix it's mess of a propulsion/power system by putting a couple of basic PWRs into it?
It would take a full rebuild, nuclear propulsion has tighter tolerances, more need for automation, auxiliary machinery, and takes up quite a bit of space.
>How much space would it have with a simplified power/propulsion system?
Unless willing to give up speed, not much more than what it already has, nuclear efficiency and capability oftentimes doesn't include less of a footprint overall, usually it takes up more room.
>What if they didn't use it or the hanger decks as a carrier?
They would be better off putting towed artillery on the flight deck instead, nuke power plus removing the deck would in many ways make it more expensive to refit than just making an equivalent design from scratch.

Having that many launch tubes on the deck/ship in general would just make it into a floating incinerator. The NK's would literally have no way to properly provide point defence or any real screening for the vessel. They would be better off just making more TEL's and driving those around instead.

I was watching Ian's video on this captive pistol pistol and he said the round leaks gas out the front which gives it the volume of maybe a silenced 22 pistol or something. But there's got to be a way to improve these rounds so they're completely silent right? It would have limited application but still it'd be pretty cool

>>
>>64662684
What do you think that would accomplish anon?
>>
the best way to have it in a commercially somewhat viable way is a pepperbox revolver loaded from the back with blanks and from the front with bullets, a piston inbetween. thus registration us only necessary once and provided the gas seal holds (that's the problem here), it'll be just as quiet.
could also use that other idea where the piston chamber is higher diameter than the barrel, and thus the movement of the piston propels the cartridge through a longer barrel than the piston itself travels.
>>
>>64655448
I saw that video and I thought Ian was a bit of a retard for not listing any positives of the design. It can fit in a sports jacket pocket for fuck's sake. Imagine being able to fire though your pocket with a suppressed pistol and then just keep on walking. Assassins would love it.
>>
>>64668887
wouldn't the revolver be better for that, no slide that can snag on stuff

My dad has been wanting a Glock for quite some time, though he has never owned a gun and isn’t the type of person to go buy one for himself. So I figure it’s the perfect gift to get him for Christmas. The only problem is I’m not sure how my stepmom will react, as they have 2 11 year olds in the house. If I do get him the gun, I also intend to get him a case with a lock on it. For added context, he gifted me my first gun (Mossberg 500) when I was 17, which was kept in their house when I lived with them while the children were toddlers. How should I go about this? ChatGPT says to tell him ahead of time but that seems very gay.

Yes, which is the main reason why its been taking so long. If I were just making a 2 position FRT it probably would've been done now. The last design actually failed because it was forcing the safety out of position
