I'll start, I've been recently playhing Read Or Not and as someone who played SWAT 4 back when it came out, I've enjoyed it so far

There's a radius where suspects are actually threatened by officers. On bigger maps like the post office, you can force people to surrender, disarm themselves then have them repeatedly draw weapons as you move into cuff them despite you repeatedly pelting them with pepper balls and beanbags (since the draw and stand animation gives them LTL immunity)

I really wish old school lobby games didn’t die for the live service, redesigned slop that is produced today. It’s hard to ever criticize old games, even with their faults given how abysmal the market is.

I never played sandstorm but I can’t imagine it’s very good. Insurgency is a better game for paintballers than it is for milsim fags. I was debating whether i should remove it from my account.
>>
>>64749870
I never considered even buying it after learning it that the game would not use Source, Insurgency was great since it was CS but "realistic".
I bought Day of Defeat thinking it was Day of Infamy and became very letdown, shame Infamy died after some time, the trailers look good.

How many armored soldiers from the late middle ages would you need to appreciably affect a bronze age battlefield?

>the first firearms made said armour obsolete
Anon, the first firearms did not make armor obsolete. Plate armor died in the 18th century; firearms started around the 10th-13th century as shitty fire lances became small cannons carried by hand (which then evolved to handgonnes and then arquebuses and so on).
>>
>>64746615
Bullet proofed plate was even heavier than the usual sort, generally only stopped bullets to the torso, and even still mostly from smaller firearms at the time.
The full-sized handhelds usually could go through at anything but longer distances.
>>
>>64747484
off the top of my head they helped kick the Ottomans out of Italy preventing Rome from falling like Constantinople did, they were involved in a bunch of central European campaigns in Hungary and Bohemia

>It doesn't matter that they weren't widespread in one region

what does matter is that Han Chinese crossbows predated a shit ton of advancements in material science and design thus typically they had half the draw weight of a Medieval version if not less, they really wouldn't have much impact on late Medieval plate armor.

Depended on range and even then it certainly want a done thing even by the 19th century, the arms/armor race was well in full swing in the 16th and 17th centuries.
And even then, though it is night and day compared to older armor you have the likes of Ned Kelly or the WW1 breastplates that did function against even modern firearms

This is all true, but the comment I was originally responding to was making the claim that...
>"Once crossbowmen, pikemen, and gunners became common on the battlefield, pre-Late Medieval/Renaissance era warfare was dead, effectively."
... and I pointed out that two of those things existed long before the medieval period.

I'd say the general population would not associate these bags with guns or you being armed desu. Unless it is too "tactical" looking.

Those of us who carry or spend time around guns and know these purses - we know there is probably 50/50 chance there is either a gun or drugs... Or both.

IMO just get a small bag like that but ideally less tactical looking if you dont want to stand out too much. As I said, the general population does not seem to care or know based on my experience.

Target shooting general
A thread that dies because anon in it actually shoot.

I'm wanting a target rifle for 20 and 50 metre smallbore. I'm thinking that I'll just get a BSA International but what other rifles are an option for around 1k in Australia?
>>
>>64749925

Under $2000 preferably.

We used to have groups threads and such with some regularity but the last one I tried last year did indeed die despite a few anon's efforts. I wish you luck though OP.
>>64749995
The Tikka T1x is genuinely really fun and enjoyable just like its big brother, quite accurate, and you should be able to get one for around $650-700. There are other good choices and fancier options for sure but I think there's rapidly diminishing returns if you're not doing pro comp or something.
>>
>>64750017
I think I'll just make a weekly thread when I start shooting again.
>>

>Tikka T1x
Doesn't look like it has a front sight dovetail.
Did some googling and if I get one with a threaded end I'd be able to screw on a dovetail to the muzzle.

The 10k asking price might not actually be far off desu, I am thinking the F2000 GL version appropriate price could probably be somewhere in the ~8k range. Perhaps 1k less for the non-GL version. I will watching out to see if they move the pricing. Who knows if any more will ever arrive. F2000 is becoming rare.

>If CZ is less shitty then America
I cant speak for the USA but based on my info importing a gun from USA to CZ basically doubles the price of most guns (eg. Colt 1911s sell for 1800USD). All the fees add up quickly. Shipping (only some companies are willing to ship guns), VAT, registration fees, etc. I would guess its the same way when shipping EU toUSA.

>Pfeifer SR2
Yeah, its a nice rifle. Just looked out of curiosity to see if they sell over here but havent found any sellers. Perhaps they might be available in Austria or Germany in smaller numbers.

Yeah I dont think these were ever sold. Kinda funny I remember I had an F2000 airsoft gun and remember spending so much time like 15 years ago looking for Airsoft grenade launcher to mount on that thing with very little luck. This batch of F2000s most likely came from some military which very likely got rid of or replaced the rifles. Perhaps they'll eventually find their way to the US here from CZ.

they worked but they didnt like polymer mags, optics mounting was bad with the carrying handle version, accessory mounting was non existent, safety switch is in a horrendous spot

Both ukraine and russian men should just have a couple goons tard wrangle jeets as cannon fodder and then their own native slavic Volk use drones on the jeets so no Slav has to die meanwhile pajeets are depopulated.
they could even bring back armored trains too to stomp on the pajeets.

Because suits of armor that can stop muskets can still be dented or slightly perforated by longbows and crossbows.

The fact that a president of a state could be kidnapped by SOF, doesn't it mean that nuclear war could be "won" against a nuclear power? Just send SOF, kidnap their president alongside his "nuclear football". Point a gun in the head of his wife and kids so he gives up the nuclear codes. Then proceed to nuke each airbase of that country and naval bases with nuclear bombers and SSBNs and the major cities of that country. This leaves only the patrolling SSBNs for launching a counter strike. But still, this "simple" specops mission would have transformed a massive, unmanageable nuclear exchange into a limited engagement that modern Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) might actually be able to manage and thus win the nuclear war.
