Thoughts on USAF pilots survival gear?
>>65046902>>65046996You just got blasted by trips and dubs. Learn when to shut the fuck up, tourist scum.
>>65040569Why even bother with the removable barrel? Just give it captive pins and something to hold the bolt carrier in the upper when it's disassembled.
>>65047548Limited run. You would need to buy used or built it out.
>>65048032The fuck are you talking about anon? If you want to make a survival rifle to take the enemy's ammo, you need to correctly guess what someone's actually going to come across. Unless you invented a rifle that can shoot both 7.62 and 5.45, then you already have a problem in any of the regions we're talking about, unless the entire middle east finally agreed on a single cache of old Soviet shit to all standardise on and I missed it.Same for China, they still have stock of old type 81s alongside their newer guns in service. Russia, I can't even fucking begin to guess what cursed shit you might find a mobik using at the moment. The places you're most likely to find a single round more or less everywhere you can plan for are developed countries where a US pilot isn't going to need a rifle to fend off the locals anyway.
>>65047314I'd feel pretty good if that was available to me after a bail. all you got back in the day was some bare-bones bolt action piece of crap or a pistol.
Why don't you own a nagant revolver in 9x19mm luger yet? editionold thread >>64803876
>>65044998>The entirely believable backstory I got from the seller:The stock on this M1903 I got for $6 at an auction. Buttplate was a bit rusty but other than dirt and dried cosmoline the stock was perfectly fine. It had probably been sitting in a basement for 60 years; the rifle it was originally on was long gone.
New surp
>>65044998>>65045124I like stories like this. I bought this rifle in a sporter stock at an auction for like $175, then bought the stock about an hour later for $25. So this was an easy and cheap restoration. I have 2 Eddystone 1917s that all in all I’m into for about $350 total. But that’s a story for another day.

No trench update cause I was working on other stuff, but BHEOLD. Shelf
How do you think it's going to go down? I imagine there won't be an infantry presence until it's practically leveled.
>>65046455>until it's practically leveled.IMPLESSIVE. now post terrain map chang
>>65047282Physically, nothing is stopping Iran from setting up a toll and they've been doing it in the short term as a form of leverage.Economically and diplomatically, it's not sustainable. It just triggers economic retaliation and damages their own trade.
>>65047310Given that now French ships are passing through freely, collecting a toll isn't feasible. It's pure thirdie fantasy.
>>65046701I know about inspect element too, you aint slick.
>>65047603> French ships are passing through freely,That was one (1) ship that passed in cooperation with Iranian authorities (they paid in Yuan or Crypto)
Why did older, obsolete SAM systems outperform the supposedly high-end ones? Both the THAAD and the S-400 have been major disappointments.
>I stole a post from /r/NCDThis might be a self a report, but I'm bringing you with me you faggot.
The whole point of IADS is each system is optimized for certain targets, THAAD and the S-400 are both anti-ballistic missile systems that get dunked on by crop dusters throwing VOGs out the window. The issue right now is there isn't any small drone optimized systems leaving a capability gap.

>>65047843>Both the THAAD and the S-400 have been major disappointments.lol no, just the s-400 which is a huge piece of shit :)

Now that Netanyahu has withdrawn from NATO, they can finally defeat the next enemy standing in the way of Greater Israel. But do they actually have a chance 1v1?I haven't been impressed by the IDF's recent performance and the Turkish armed forces are large and fairly well-equipped.

I want to put thishttps://www.midwayusa.com/product/2420373744?pid=373744On pic related. Current scope is airsoft and idk where that ends and gun begins. The rings are 1 screw per side and direct thread into the rail which screws into the top receiver 1 in the back 2 in the front.I think the rings and rail are original, should I run 1 screw rings on a 30-06? My 30-30 runs 2 screw rings. Original scope was a 3-9 Nikon that got lost along the way
>>65048358I don’t want some old timey garbage that’s windage depends on the phase of the moon, I want hard mounts. I’ve never had to re-zero the 30-30.

>>65048435Fuck you, those rings kick ass for doing deer drives. Something you can’t do, you no friends loser
>>65048447I wasn't insulting you anon, I was saying the gun had a cool vintage look.
>>65048456This. If you want to actually be critical about it, that gun looks like crap. The wood has no figure at all. The finish is shit. The forend doesn't match the stock. Extruded rings are crappy. The scope is too. But that nitpicking doesn't matter. I'm sure it kills bambi dead just fine. It has charm. It's like an old pickup truck that has some wear and tear, maybe a replaced door whose paint doesn't quite match. It's a gun that can tell stories, something that people took hunting for years, not some safe queen or larpstick dressed up for social media attention.>>65048435also needs some stupid-hot exotic .30 cal or perhaps a 7mm mag for "the long shots" (150 yards)
What should I get for my next handgun?
>>65044938as you can see none of the pistols have nearly as much style as any of the revolvers
>>65046294OP already busted his NFA cherry with the can. Plus there's a huge fucking difference between the 37 and 40mm. With the 37 all you're shooting is flares and smoke. With the 40 you can legally use all sorts of fun adapters that fire multiple shotshells at once, a bunch of 22's at the same time, (Hornet's Nest), etc.
(do *not* get a glock)CZ 75, Browning Hi-Power, or HK P7 PSP

>>65034827Pork and shellfish.
>>65048176Probably because it felt more like a dark,l gritty and most important testosterone fuelled horror movie, than something a redditor would have displayed besides his funko pops. It's so fucking based and grounded, even white supremacists love and enjoy it despite the fact Blade is a black man. Also, we all know who vampires are a spiritual/metaphysical allegory for too.

>>65044536Man remember videos of Chechens firing machine guns into bushes and driving around in armor that turned out to be well behind friendly lines? Do you think that maybe shitzbollah did something similar? That they setup and filmed from a location that was well away from where the Israelis were operating? Becausw if I wanted to make a propaganda video I sure wouldn't setup and badly operate an almost century old piece anywhere a modern army could see me trying to do it.

I haven't seen one in a good while. I'm seriously thinking about buying an AUG soon so I'd like some advice. I know there's both 5.56 and .300 blackout variants to choose from and I'm leaning towards the .300 and just using supersonic ammunition. AUGs are notable for being poor suppressor hosts anyways, right? Plus, prices for supersonic .300 aren't that bad according to AmmoSeek when compared to 75/77gr 5.56 which I already buy. Plus if I ever change my mind about .300 I could just buy a 5.56 barrel.
If I suppressed a bullpup (or I guess any other really long barrel gun) like 20" or 24", is there risk of baffel strikes? Should I just not?
just bought a tavor 7. Time to go broke buying .308
>>65037838I saw the video, many keks. Of course you had to have Steyr USA people shoot it. They seemed very concerned.
>>65046300>(or I guess any other really long barrel gun)Yeah, bullpup is completely irrelevant here, as is:>like 20" or 24", is there risk of baffel strikes?Wat? If anything longer barrel length (within v gain) would (utterly negligibly) reduce the risk of baffle strikes since the bullet is moving faster when it exits the barrel. But it's effectively irrelevant no matter what. Baffle strikes (or rather can core strikes in general, since 3D printed cans don't have baffles) happen from manufacturing/assembly errors or improper seating. Like if you direct thread with no locker and forget to check tightness from time to time and let the can wander off the end. Doesn't matter if the barrel is 8" or 36" for either of those.
