Why aren't ballistic submarines the backbone of world navies? Why haven't surface ships been relegated to carrier protection and amphibious operations? Why not make SLBMs out of RIM-66s and Standard missiles and Tomahawks and ASROCs? If you want force projection why wouldn't the ambiguity of the presence of submarines be enough to scare your enemies?

Starting with this piece of shit. Any gun that gets a cracked frame within 20,000 rounds is an irredeemable hunk of absolute dogshit. That isn’t even a high round count for 9mm. Glock runs circles around beretta.

I hope that helps anon.
Say you re an intelligence agency and you need to track a guy of a previous regime, and he just picked a remote third world location you dont know, crossed them border got a bit of surgery and integrated in some rural village there, without having contacts with anyone of his previous life. How do you track them down?
>>64761513Either they maintain contact with people back home and you get to them through those people, or they don't and you never find them. Neither option is relevant since you probably don't actually want to find the guy, getting them back is going to be more trouble than they're worth and it sets a bad precedent for when your regime gets kicked over.
>>64761513Getting there involves flight or sailing, crossing borders illegally usually involves organised crime, plastic surgeons are rare and vanishingly rare in the third world, and strangers are usually not well received in poor, isolated communities. It'd be easier to get botox injections and become homeless somewhere like SF or Berlin.
Writefag here, I’m looking for real “out there” firearms that are advanced looking but not too impractical for my sci-fi setting.
>>64759869See >>64758823, the point of the design was that it doesn't kick until AFTER the 3 round burst is out of the rifle. Recoil doesn't matter much at that point and can be trained around because you're still landing your burst exactly where you aimed really easily.

Tech is obviously a major fucking issue for Russians but keep in mind SEAD/DEAD isn’t happening in a vacuum unless you’re retarded. You’re neutralizing enemy AD umbrella for x reason(s). I think a lot of the world fails to see the US military in the whole and tend to look at specific assets and then try and compare (chink dongfengs vs a CSG, leopard vs abrams, etc.) but that’s not how the US operates. To be fair that is certainly how some of these retard forces are working like the helicopter rocket firing arcs though so I understand. With SEAD you are coming, and maybe you’re staying but regardless you are coming into that area. So you wild weasel, or in some fashion get the SAMs to turn on to kill you and then you kill them first. You need numbers and you need tempo far more than just having the tech to do so. You need to constantly apply pressure and have something ready to engage the moment a radar lights up one of your toys. Russia can’t do that. Think about a Russian drone attack - they can’t station a jet loitering in the vicinity of potential launch zones because that jet lacks the means to engage from a better range than the SAM (potentially). Similarly, they can’t wait and mark launch locations and then strike later because the slow tempo means those targets have probably relocated by then. If I was a russian I’d be evaluating the feasibility of some sort of general redirection abilities on my shit drones and the feasibility of implementing some sort of Home on Jam system so that a few of my drones in the attack swarm could be diverted to active radars (depending on SIGINT/ELINT abilities) and then home on the emission source. But that’s still ONLY radars and not launchers.
>>64757188>if I were Russian I would…If you were Russian you would not be able to string together a coherent thought that complex. Not saying it’s overly complex but their minds have a character limit similar to Twitter but also it’s always gay/rape related.
>>64752812There's never enough
FPV attack drones already rolling out, 16–20 a day. Bigger toys coming: Vitol fixed-wing, 5m wingspan, 50kg payload, planned 1,000km tests. K1 kamikaze drone with the same range, 30kg warhead. Skifteri for MoD/export.
>>64761387Strange limits. How are they going to stream the 4k video back the 1000km? Why not actually use the 4k video on a 50km attack and at the same time 100kg of warhead? 2500m is carburetor needs to be adjusted altitude I guess that came from there.
>>64761481Honestly 4k seems to much for that, i would have like you used that 4k camera on drones with less range but what do i know. Most interesting thing is that smaller countries are going full speed on such drones, sure they are probably really good deterrenta against their neighbors like Serbia.
