>I really enjoyed backline logistics
I liked that one update when infantry weapons were usable past melee range without sitting still for half an hour and the shotgun was especially lethal. Of course they quickly changed everything because can't have fun gunplay and firefights and the next time I decided to try the game combat gameplay was absolute AIDS and the aforementioned clanniggers basically ruled the game.

Turns out I was wrong. idk where I read that Teddy liked peep sights, I know the one letter is about him buying a .22 with peep sights
https://www.theodorerooseveltcenter.org/digital-library/o293878/
it must have been for the Smithsonian African trip
I'll post the other version of the letter in the next post but, it turns out he always used what are basically express sights with a u notch in the bottom with a ramped front bead.
https://www.loc.gov/resource/mss38299.mss38299-363_0001_0271/?sp=106&r=0.447,0.157,0.595,0.233,0
in his autobiography he specifically mentions drawing a bead on things, including an injun. he also straight up couldn't shoot for shit. He even admits he was a piss poor long range shot due to his shit eyes. eyes so she he couldn't get peeps to work. Peeps must still be the most accurate because every shooting competition that allows peeps but doesn't allow a scope has everyone using peeps over open sights. I wonder if he would use a red dot today or if his eyes were so shit he's seethe about the starburst

fly inside of it using a crashed Reaper drone from 50 years prior and then upload a computer virus with my 1995 Thinkpad
>>
>>64755337
To be fair on Vigil it's not that he was literally hours away from powering off, it's that he finally accomplished his final task.
I suspect he was sitting in an extremely low power state until Shep showed up and probably could've sustained it longer, but then used every drop of juice left to communicate the message.
>>64756442
There's some echoes of similar themes in the final game too. The Reapers say they're harvesting to preserve a trace of the uniqueness of species each cycle, and the purpose isn't just to control organics as they could but to allow different ones to spring up over time. Jarvis talks about how the Prothean empire being so dominant also undercut them, because everyone had roughly the same culture, equipment, technology and doctrine. You cut them all off from each other by turning off the relays, figure out how to deal with one pocket of them, then you've basically figured out how to deal with all of them. I suspect the original idea was that the Reapers were trying to see if new civilisations figured out a way around it, harvest any science they did that might've pointed to something or make their own collective's thinking more diverse through adsorbing them as new reapers.
Biggest problem I can see versus the final story is that there's really two conflicts now, the Reapers themselves and the dark energy entropy death of the universe and there's not really a neat way to combine them. Just showing the Reapers that you built the first ever solar powered mass relay and them turning off after or something wouldn't be satisfying. Maybe reworking the Crucible into 'the power to stop the Reapers', but you still need to sell why everyone's building this thing without knowing what it even does.
Only thing I could think is making it about finishing an ancient prototype that takes combining a bunch of cutting edge innovations from around the galaxy, everyone thinks it's a fleet-killer energy weapon instead of a tech demo.
>>
Reapers fighting the entropy of the galaxy from Dork Matter is a more suitable reason appropriate to the mystery and cosmic scale of the setting compared to AI plotline which the geth and quarians already address.

Its also appropiate that the main antagonist of the entire trilogy refers to the core theme and title of the series .... the Mass Effect

>M4 Faunts II
>>
>>64755801
That’s antiseptic
>>
>>64757772
Mass effect 3 was unbelievably bad and ironically the ending being so much worse than the rest of the game actually created this incredibly gay narrative that the rest of the game was ok besides the ending.

Horizontal grips are very cool, but are they useful in anyway though?
1 reply and 1 image omitted. Click here to view.
>>
They're just for griping around something large like a drum or belt box. Try doing that with a VFG. you can't
>>
They're useful in the sense that getting your arm around a belt box and still having a comfortable grip is difficult. Used to be decently common in the late 2000s for 240 gunners to mount SAW rail grips to their 9 oclock, but it fell out of fashion as GWOT drew down as peacetime meant a greater emphasis on 240s being crew served weapons, as opposed to in Iraq and Afghan where assistant gunners would just carry extra belts and otherwise just be functionally a regular rifleman on patrols; while spare barrels or tripods were rarely even carried.
>>
>>64758675
obviously, you retarded dishonest gorilla nigger
>>
>>64758675
it should be easy to remember the difference between horizontal and vertical because horizontal has the word horizon in it, and a horizon is a line that goes left and right, not up and down. vertical has the word vertice in it but a vertice is really just a point and not a line, but I guess vertical grips do make it easier to point the gun so there's that.
>>
Assuming you mean vertical foregrips, like in the image, it largely comes down to what you feel handles comfortably to you on the given weapon.

For stuff like the MP5k and TMP / MP9, a vertical foregrip is a really good way to provide a solid and comfortable grip on the front, while keeping the gun still quite short.

/k/, I need you to rate this outline for a short story I came up for starring Pazu and Sheeta from Castle in the Sky

>the two fly off in the sunset to Sheeta's homeland of Gondoa
>finding Sheeta's family farm ransacked after being left abandoned during the events of the movie, the two have to rebuild it from scratch, but are undaunted
>Sheeta's pregnant within a month
>although they have a small fortune's worth of jewelry that was taken from Laputa, Pazu nonetheless takes up prospecting at a mining camp to help finance the repairs
>the very sight of Sheeta's growing belly with their first child gives Pazu an instant pregnancy fetish and the hormones turn her into a a lustful little pervert in her own right. The two literally can't keep off each other
>Sheeta begins to notice Pazu slowing down as fatigue takes a toll on him as she can't help him with repairing their house even if she wanted to because he won't let her
>one day, the two ride a shortline railway to another town for market day, while Pazu is distracted buying building supplies, Sheeta strolls into an exotic spice shop and a clothing store...
>after the end of the following work week, Pazu strolls home expecting dinner but finds some milk and cookies instead along with a note telling him to help himself
>little does he know, they're actually laced with enough mind-altering substances to incapacitate Cheech and Chong
>as the drugging begins to take effect Sheeta emerges from her hiding place wearing some newly purchased lingerie
>Pazu is full mast before she can even begin to take it off
>just as Pazu's mind completely disappears into a euphoric haze, Sheeta seductively takes a swig of his half-finished drink and bites down on a cookie, stating that it's safe for the baby too
>Sheeta pins Pazu down to the bed with her huge baby belly, rips her lingerie off and throws it into his face, and rides him until he's emptied a veritable bucketload into her

The ares/fightlite is a lot better than the ligma too though. I will agree these things do have some advantages. Are they worth it for the role intended? Debatable. The primary advantage, weight, is completely negated by making it a fixed emplacement water cooled gun though lol.

When I submit a 4473 to a shop in order to buy a handgun, will I be flagged if I've admitted myself (voluntary) to the mental hospital for major depression, in Seattle, WA? I have no criminal record, ostensibly not on the police's radar, I've never even applied for a CPL and gotten my prints recorded. HIPAA keeps me out of the federal background check, no? Not currently on medication, haven't been for a year or so.

No, but check out ZNA productions on youtube, he has dozens of garage crossbow builds.

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?
>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45
>definitely suitable for home defense
>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person
>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest control
Yes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.
