So just in case you've ever wondered how dragonfire holds up in the concrete jungle. Some dude unloaded 6-8 shells at close range into a police vehicle. Cop is ok. Shooter, not so much.

yes because they don't burn through steel anon, there's not enough thermal mass there, and steel is a good conductor, it's quite inefficient to try to melt your way through. it's literally just velocity and mass

anon what do you think? tbf it would be very unpleasant to be shot by this, imagine having a burning shard of magnesium in your gut, definitely quite lethal from an anti-personnel perspective, but it's not that practical.
>>
>>64753524
Still I'd expect to see no hole or a hell of a lot more. Upon review I think he might have sprung for the buckshot version. Looks like about 6 shells were fired. One must have been the 00 buckshot version. They have about 6 balls and still produce a flame. Maybe he was hoping the buck would penetrate and the rest were fire for effect or possible to ignite the vehicle.

>Still I'd expect to see no hole or a hell of a lot more.
The powdered metal in a Dragon's Breath round doesn't have enough inertia and would dissipate quickly, so they all have at least birdshot inside. It would always make a hole.
At close range even a birdshot shot column has little spread so it could potentially make a single entry hole.

Never seen this particular combo of loose cropped shirt and sweatpants, but I have seen girls wearing purposefully low-waisted pants so you'd see the swimsuit style top that I don't know the name of.
I understand that you're getting at the fact that anime-style artists pick clothing designed for NEURON ACTIVATION which can go from flat out slutty to just impractical. But in this case I have indeed seen these swimsuit looking pieces starting to get common around 2023.

We have just seen the US carry out Operation Absolute Resolve, a flawless raid in Venezuela but there's so much more than what meets the eye.
The fact that the Nightstalkers could just infil and exfil on gunships guns blazing is insane in the era of gay drones and MANPADS.
They didn't even have to worry about the overall IADS. IR dazzlers or just shooting back was very effective against any fuckers that tried to get a shot off. More than half of the air assets in theater being SIGINT and EW just shows the importance of spectral dominance in addition to SEAD and as SEAD itself. It's obvious Growlers used their brand spanking new mid-band Growler pods to jam fire control radars, F-35s used their Barracuda suites, but what the EC-130H's were doing could be anyone's guess. But the power went out and that says something.

>What one gun can be used to fend off both a t-rex (or any large carnivore) and those little assholes that eat Peter Stormare’s character after he zaps them?
Probably fucking anything, 9mm or 45 would probably work same as on bears. Like, they're ANIMALS dude. IRL predators do not like being hurt, a puncture or bad cut that gets infected can easily be fatal in the real world with no vaccines and no antibiotics and veterinary treatment. It doesn't have to be fatal directly either if it merely interferes with their ability to catch enough prey, they'll just starve to death. I don't understand why people are so insanely unrealistic about animals and act like bears have APC armor or the like when every real report shows everything beyond mouse farts works for defense.

Now if you want to HUNT an animal and ethically drop it with one shot and not have to follow a blood trail for miles then yeah, energy and good shooting matters a lot. But if you merely want to make something go away you don't need to kill it at all just convince it you're more of a pita to try to eat then all the other prey it'd normally go for. Like a poison arrow frog or whatever, anything could bit and kill one of those little guys but they get avoided for obvious reasons. If you mag dump at a T-Rex it's not going to deflect and keep at you it's going to run the fuck away and go hunt any of the endless other creatures that aren't fucking armed with guns.

Years of movie monsters both animal and fantastical shrugging off bullets and even bombs, not to mention single-mindedly pursuing humans against their own survival instincts. Movies have no problem showing people firing automatic rifles at big CGI dinosaurs / monsters with no results. Makes people believe a T-Rex is on par with a tank when in reality the crew of an Abrams could sleep through an all night T-Rex attack, wake up and kill it with a couple bursts of the co-ax.
One of the things I liked about the ending of the Mist is that yeah, big fleshy monsters vs army is going to end really badly for the monsters not just because the difference in firepower but the strategic planning to bring that firepower to bear with minimal casualties. To make a movie monster scary you either have to set it where the humans don't have access to firearms and clear lines of sight or you have to give it a borderline impossible biology. A T-Rex rampaging in San Diego is just going to get dropped by the first Police Cruiser with an AR-15 in it, hell even the handguns being mag dumped into the chest might kill it in short order.

because as the thread show, if it ain't shilled to death by hundreds of "tactical" brands and shit then nobody will buy it because "it doesn't make sense" or whatever other non sense they'll made up as an excuse.

this is valid for any other weapons btw even bolt action rifles, nobody is going to make something weird and unique because it's too risky and will instead follow the current trend in the already existing market, only those rich enough will shill their shit to death until it sell (see 6.5 creedmoor)
>>
>>64756429
its not.

30 carbine is much cheaper to manufacture in long term, large scale operations.

>I am thinking the price might go down a bit throughout the year once the hype goes down a bit.

At least in the US it goes like this- they get imported, they are expensive but somehow not enough to justify the hassle of importing them, they are available until they aren't, they don't import more, then the price goes up.
>>
>>64756476
nta but the dynamics can be different for guns that simply aren't manufactured at all anymore. Any import that happens at that point is subtracting from a limited global pool, like some country had a pile in a warehouse and surplus them on the international market. In that case how it goes is more of a gamble, yeah a lot of smaller importers will be unwilling to sit on stock forever and discount if it doesn't sell as expected but others may be prepared for a longer haul if they think demand will be there down the road since the gun will only ever get rarer.
>>
>>64756453
magazine is behind the trigger, thats a bullpup

You're all retarded, I say this as the biggest hater of the Kriss Vector for being gimmicky oversized nonsense achieving the stated aim in the most ridiculous way possible, the only way that the gun would work (or rather, not work) the way you are describing is if the bolt was constant recoil like the ultimax. But it isn't, it bottoms out at the end of travel and impacts the bottom of the gun which *will* pull the muzzle down. Which is the whole reason it jumps up and down in the hands.
>>
>>64756594
1) in this animation (>>64754920), the yellow thing connected to the bolt does not bottom out.
2) the yellow vertical-moving piece isn’t even necessary. Think of how far back a pistol slide has to cycle. It’s only like 1.5 COALs. For 45acp this is like 1.8”. Not only is the vertical moving component a meme, it doesn’t even make the gun’s action any shorter.

Even if the vertical component did bottom out, there is minimal vertical distance between the bore axis and the center of the stock, so a gun of conventional design wouldn’t have any muzzle flip for the fancy flip reduction mechanism to eliminate.

Is there a physics anon who can confirm if the downward-moving bolt bottoming out would change felt recoil characteristics? My gut says it doesn’t, that it merely counteracts equally the upward movement of the gun and the shooter feels no difference.
>>
>>64756645
>it merely counteracts equally the upward movement of the gun

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.
>But muh fire rate!
Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis.

Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.

Lawyers always tell you to call a lawyer and be difficult with the police, even if you have not broken the law, but really why wouldn't they? It's of no benefit to the lawyer if you sort out your legal questions without his help. He's not gonna get paid if he never gets involved in the case.

M110 is decent but silencer tuning is a bit harder than a SCAR or AR 15 even. AGB ruins the look and heaviest buffer and spring often aren't enough with super hot match ammo while I just click the SCARs gas selector once or twice to get the setting I want. KAC also charges over a grand for a re barrel which I have to do around every 10-15k rounds because the barrel is unlined. The URX 2 and M110 profile barrel make the gun retardly heavy as well. The M110 does shoot super smooth though. Its like a sewing machine when you rapid fire.

FAL is indeed fun to shoot. Recoil isn't bad, even with the para stock. And after adjusting the gas, it was pretty reliable.

F-22 is an air superiority fighter. F-35 is a multirole. I like both of them. We haven't had a real airborne threat outside of a spy balloon that was allowed to complete it's mission before the kill order was sent. We ALWAYS have something to blow up on the ground and both have done so but the F-35 is going to be better at it. The F-22 is an irl cheat code plane for air to air. The F-35 does crazy things in the air too but not as crazy. The F-35 does crazy things with sensors the F-22 can't without a major upgrade. Both are amazing aircraft that shit all over pretty much everything else.

>>64754510
>B-b-but (insert aircraft here) beat them in a training dogfight!
With how many restrictions were placed on the F-22/F-35? How many handicaps for the other side? The problem is always going to be the super maneuverable stealth aircraft's pilot is going to have his hands tied behind his back at bare minimum in training. There's a reason why in IRL training they sometimes lose while in things like DCS you often get extreme disrespect situations like the Raptor getting behind and forming up with the aggressor undetected because the situation is far less controlled. Knowing when and where the other guy should be coming is a HUGE bonus and controlling that is the entire point of stealth aircraft. In a formal training that entire situation is known, controlled, and in the briefing. You know where he's coming from, when he's arriving, and how the engagement will start. Realistically the (insert aircraft here) is going to be smacked by a missile from beyond visual range having never actually detected the 22/35, which were alerted by AWACS that you existed and needed to burn.

It's fine to be proud of your local aircraft and pilots, but please for the love of god stop acting like they really totes for realsies beat either aircraft because of training situations.

>The problem is the fucking cost, which was and remains way too fucking much for what it is,

I used to believe this but I have changed my mind.

I am not quite to the point that I would agree with the following statement: "If I knew what I know now about the F-35, I would have given up body armor in 2007 to save the program." However, every military engagement so far pushes me closer to changing my mind.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India.

They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India.

If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful.

I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil.

Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?

Having read so far, some top ideas.

I'll add:
- sell here on /k/ marketplace, give is a special deal you can afford for a couple weeks or the first hundred you sell here or something

- set price at $75/$80 for a single unit, but price break for people who buy 5 at a time, like $250 or $300

(You) CAN document these are virgin, original 1959 manufacture, right? That makes them unusual collectables, so don't undersell yourself too far. If you're not getting action, put some on temporary price reduction every now and then at random shake up your market and get your buyers looking & waiting for discounts. The raffle idea is pretty solid, too.
