Hello everyone. I know how to reload ammo but I lack certain mathematical concepts that are needed to work a load backwards from projected performance. I know you lot can be pretty smart so can you help me? I want to find chamber pressure. The cartridge in question is 7.62x25.Case:>7.62x25Bullet weight:>265 grainsVelocity:>1000 fpsI want 300blk but smaller and dumber.
>>64685651Get Quickload or GRT software and plug your numbers in.
>>64685673There isn't just one chamber pressure involved, there are infinite different pressure curves that could give the performance you specified.
>>64685673 Checking I understand you: You want to scratch-build a blowback semiauto, correct? If you would: Please state what you hope to make. Toolmaking Step One = Imagine what you want. Describe it in English.
>>64685899>>64685893For example, here's a list of loads Quickload generated. You can see the max pressure on this chart but that alone is not enough for doing any sort of design calculations. You can easily model the individual loads suggested here.
>>64685905>Please state what you hope to makeOP wants to make a super cool armor piercing subsonic gun. He picked the Tok cartridge to start with because he heard it had decent armor penetration, but he's not smart enough to realize that is only because of velocity, which is out the window for his *subsonic* project.
Merry Christmas you beautiful anons! If you haven't received your package, please submit an email to me and we will start tallying the late arrivals, and then sorting between folks who are likely to get theirs in the next few days vs those who the dreaded USPS has lost forever. We will be dispatching the Grinch Relief Corps (GRC) as needed to remedy. North! Your 2nd box finally came and I got to open it right in front of my extended family after they were charmed by your beautiful box artistry. To avoid the allegations of being a gimp, I opened the box to now be branded a furry. :) Your tent was amazing btw. I opened it not knowing what it was and it unfolded at warp speed and smacked me in the face, giving me a nose bleed. I loved your card, and as thanks I shall send you ONE cryptid wife out of my next catch. Also the art fucked me up and now I want a monster wife.10/10, absolutely great year. You were an amazing anon and I shall cherish your gifts~ Next year, my gift giving game WILL be on this level. I shall avenge you, Homulilly Anon!
>>64682935Congrats. Was fun doing this again this year.
>>64685502We sent an email a couple times and never got any bounce backs. Check your spam, I just got and responded to your email.

>>64685705Shields are fundamentally just super large plates with handles. If a 10x12" rectangular plate stops 6x M80 with 2" spacing, and that's minimum Level III spec, a 20x30" shield has five times the area and will be good for thirty fair hits. Again, minimum spec. Also shields aren't held to BFD limits. You may be able to get rounds through if you concentrate fire on a ceramic or PE shield in a very close circle. Might be a little hard to do if you're getting engaged by a crew behind it.
>>64685716>Flamethrower Guide 1.00.pngNice!
>>64685797I really need to update the shield infograph. Jinwudun's lineup has exploded, Militech is selling them, and you can even buy knockoff FORT shields on Aliexpress. There's a lot of used ones on eBay too. Philosophically, I think shields are like CAPs and people are sleeping on them too much.Flamethrowers are pretty battle-proven. Even Agent Wolf has one.
Thought just struck me. I did some napkin math and a Gilliam 8002 made into a 20x30" rectangular shield would weigh 48lb and cost about $1,650, scaling directly off the plate, making it rectangular, and adding a handle. This would provide substantial multi-hit M993 / Swiss P AP protection. My math if shot spacing is friendly would be about 20-25 hits. 48lb is too heavy to hand-lift but could easily be put on a trolley.Similarly, a Gilliam 9969 shield would weigh 34lb and provide substantial IV + M995 protection (at least on paper...) and cost $2,100 - which would be fantastic for a novel TiB2-SiC Level IV. Same weight as the Combattle IV but without the silhouette shape. Thanks China. Both of these plates come with trauma pads, so those can be removed in the shield versions. This would save weight and $$. I'm curious as to why Gilliam doesn't do that. Great way to break into the LE market without pursuing NIJ CPL listings.
>>64685839>Even Agent Wolf has one.Oh, well then of course.

>>64685090Unknown technology as in magic that's too convenient and proven to not math right. Like EW, lasers, aiming assistant on personal weapons, drone mines (mines you plant on the ground and then it pops out and intercepts drones), era blocks for individual troops, etc.

Do wooden logs work as armor or is it cope?
>>64681285First world countries use kevlar liners. Chobam/hybrid ceramic is external, the internal structure is still steel.
>>64675531At best it functions as standoff slat armor which might get lucky at confusing some fuses or disrupting an EFP. Useful against small diameter, slow explosives. Ineffective against large explosives or high velocity rounds.

I like using it as a mobile tank destroyer in Arma 3.
38 spl is the best example. It can be shortened to the length of 380 acp but it's not. And after all the changes in service rifle cartridges, I refuse to believe 9 mm is still the best pistol round. Nobody is interested in inmaxed calibers like 5.7 or 30 super carry because they cost more money because nobody is interested in them because they cost more. Like a perpetual motion machine.

All North Korea has ever done has been testing a nuclear bomb (1940's tech lmao). And we aren't even 100% sure it was produced natively. From all accounts their material and manpower has been worse then the Vatniggers when deployed on the Ukrainian front. Like imagine how bad the Q&A has to be for Vatniggers to complain about shell quality jfc. Norktard it has been a fun larp and you have kept it up longer then the 'Malaysia Stronk' shit of the past, but just let it go dude.
>>64683004>All North Korea has ever done has been testing a nuclear bomb (1940's tech lmao). And we aren't even 100% sure it was produced natively.Of all the 'evil' countries around the world, NK has shown they are the only one thus far who not only wont play ball with the west, but also one of the only ones who wont immediately be destroyed like Iran, Iraq, Libya, and etc... North Korea is economically and in many ways militarily pathetic, but they are one of the only surviving plain 'enemies' of the west. Dont forget only a small number of countries have successfully developed (much less fielded) nuclear weapons. For a country with an economy less than many US states it is pretty funny and cool.
>>64683283Thats just them getting lucky tho. The ME going full retard and them somehow getting under China's sphere is what gave the a chance. >>64683591>Do not confuse sheer luck with competence. Is it really just one or the other. In the scenario the Kim's played out, it seems like both qualities were necessary.
