Stamboulieh Law makes weekly videos on all the latest lawfare:
https://youtube.com/@2alaw

You've heard of FRTs, but what's a "super safety"?
>uses the safety to force the reset of the trigger
>allows for way more trigger options (you just have to trim two places)
>invented by Tim Hoffman (https://hoffmantactical.com)
>gifted to the world to freely 3D print
>enterprising people now selling super safeties made of steel (recommend at least 4140)
>cheaper than an FRT ($90-$150)
>originally a 3-position cross-bolt safety
>left is safe, right is semi, middle is super
>3-position 90° super safety selectors are now available

His movement tells a different story. Slow, relaxed reactions not befitting the life or death adrenaline rush situation. Even the way he falls off is more accidental loss of balance from the heavy back lean than a planned move or anything else. Then he takes his sweet time to get his bearings on the ground.

>if you did not have an immediate reasonable subjective fear of death
I should have stated "disproportionate defense of life", my mistake

>demonstrable desire or intent to harm someone can be used to rebutt the claim
I have yet to see a prosecutor convince a jury that being attacked was part of the defendant's plan

>the burden is on Defendant to prove they had a subjective reasonable immediate fear for life
Nuh uh, the defendant has the presumption of innocence when claiming defense of life

>State may offer evidence to rebutt the claim
AFAIAA, that has only ever worked against Johnnie Miller when he was recorded imploding his own self defense claim in real time by repeatedly saying "I doubt it" when Aaron Howard threatened to kill him. His son [practiced deterrence rather than intimidation] was acquitted in the same shooting however

>stupid looking gun because it's not going to do you any favors
That's technically correct but unlikely to matter

>Nuh uh, the defendant has the presumption of innocence when claiming defense of life
You have a presumption of innocence meaning the State must presumptively prove the alleged conduct, but asserting certian defense require an ADMISSION to the conduct in order to justify the conduct. Self-defense is an AFFIRMATIVE defense, meaning you MUST admit to the alleged conduct but you assert the defense as a JUSTIFICATION to the conduct. The alternative would be the absurd situation where Defense claims "I didn't shoot him but if I did I feared for my life" which would make no sense.

Well yeah, grand jury proceedings are not trial. They exist only to find whether there is sufficient probable cause of the alleged conduct to issue a true bill to indict. Culpability and potential defenses generally do not factor into the decision. In fact in most states the defendant (or more accurately the "target") has no right to participate in the grand jury proceedings. If the grand jury doesn't find probable cause there's no charge to assert a defense to.

It's just a pigfat, slower, SU-27 with more payload. It will be significantly worse at anything other than lobbing a shitton of missiles , but SU-27 will fire first and hit first due to imparting more velocity onto the missile from more altitude in a traditional engagement.

That's the long answer, the short answer is that it can defend itself marginally if it comes under fire while doing a bomb run. Less so than an F-15E

you could have starship-based bigger designs but i think something small and simple to launch will be the first millitarized armed spacecraft
>>
>>64678061
>>64678084
Honestly I think the core technology really missing is self propagating small unmanned vehicles capable of doing detail work. Shipping stuff up into orbit is a losing proposition vs sourcing what you need and assembling it already in space. Until that becomes a reality I don't see anything coming from space combat outside of one or two super powers launching them for clout before proceeding to do absolutely fuck all with them outside of burning literal piles of money on maintaining them.

>>64681299

Why was twist rate in AR15 lowered from its original 1:7 to 1:8 and 1:9. Seems on paper that to use the still most common 55gr and 62gr you’d keep it 1:7. And what the hell is with 1:12

File: unnamed.png (277 KB, 1600x1093)

>>64685140
You got it backwards.
The original twist rate was 1:12", which is great for lightweight high velocity loads like M193 and even lighter varmint loads which is why a lot of 223 bolt action rifles still use it. When they went to M855 with the M16A2 they dropped all the way down to a 1:7" twist rate because that stabilizes the 62gr projectiles better. Intermediate twist rates like 1:9" and 1:8" exist as compromises to stabilize both and are more of a commercial invention. As far as I am aware they never saw use by the military but I could be wrong on that.

>Intermediate twist rates like 1:9" and 1:8" exist as compromises to stabilize both and are more of a commercial invention.
pretty sure 1:9 was every other military non ar twist rate. like the aug various aks in 556 a lot of early 556 adopters that didnt copy 1:12 were 1:9 then 1:7 later after the standardization.
