Qatar was pretty good match-wise, I think the winter break might have helped. Most players play in the European leagues, where August-June is the norm, so if the tournament is in summer, the top players are more drained of their energy. National team football is less tactical and cohesive than club football because teams can’t train with each other as often, so more energy converts nicely into more happening. The difference surely wasn’t huge, but it might have been noticeable

Serie a is my go to leauge because it's basically the only major league I get on cable here.

It's an acquired taste. It's probably the slowest and most geriatric league of the top 5 leauges and most boring in entertainment quality. But it might be the most tactical leauge there is, it's why a lot of serie a manager's thrive in other leauges almost immediately. It's also nice having a real title race

And while epl shitters tend to do well in serie a. I can think of white a few la Liga players that struggle in serie a or serie a flops that do well in la Liga
