There’s no need for some kind of major league rugby league just get some regional competition(s) going and they can be semi-pro but the main thing is they should be teams close enough to each other that travel isn’t expensive. There’s already some teams in NYC and Philadelphia for example and they aren’t far away from each other for the adult competition but they are far too far for juniors so you need 4-6 junior clubs around each of the senior clubs, ideally really close like mostly 15 minutes from each other so it’s not difficult for families to get the kids to their away games on weekends. As for union poaching players it’s not something to worry about because league is a better game and eventually, if properly administrated, poaches union by the club and competition
