Every team that misses the playoffs should be given equal odds in a draft lottery to prevent teams from tanking

the raiders were intentionally throwing games. the black former dolphins coach said he was offered payment by the dolphins owner to throw games. the betting scandal for the NBA said one of the teams was intentionally throwing games for a better draft pick because they missed the playoffs.
>>
>>152772189
Imagine buying tickets to every home game and the outcome is already pre-determined losses. That is truly ass.
>>
>>152772422
the raiders thing is even funnier where they intentionally fucked up the point spread betting line for one of the games for some reason on a play that didn't matter in terms of affecting the win or loss. Like they kicked a field goal down by 10 as time expired and they had no way of winning even if the field goal was made
>>
>>152751455
How would it prevent a team from being the worst team? There must be a worst team.
>>
>>152772528
takes away any incentive to intentionally lose games

You'd think as one of the first countries to play soccer, Ireland would have a league that punches above its weight just like England.

But instead, their league is far worse than similar-size countries like Norway or Slovakia. What gives?

>They're the original third world gloryhunters. I think there was a study once done that estimated 66% of all football fans in the country supported either Celtic, Liverpool, or Man U

The three most popular sports teams in Ireland are the Dublin Gaelic Football team, the Leinster rugby team and the Munster rugby team.

Can you list a single team in your failing Rugby Union league that can get these types of numbers? (pic related)

Arguably, the Tipperary hurling team can leapfrog the Munster rugby team in terms of Home Attendance (45,690 at peak VS 26K with a longer season).

There has never been a single match in the EPL that matched the Irish attendance at Croke Park, Landsdowne Road, Semple Stadium, Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Gaelic Grounds etc.

The English will never understand just how big the GAA is in Rural Ireland.

i would still live bet the hoosiers spread here. wait until after the crimson tide receive the second half kick off. they have absolutely nothing this game. cant even move the ball. the hoosiers will run up the score here. nfl ready quarterback picking the tide apart. cignetti will not slow the team down at 30-0. this is not oaklahoma. this game is already over. its just a matter of how badly the hoosiers want to beat them.

So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame VAR, we can blame injuries, we can praise Wolves efforts (the historically worst team in Premier League history), but the truth is it's simply not enough. Tactics, determination you name it, it all stinks.

Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in Amorim and the lads, but MASSIVE reinforcements are desperately needed in the winter. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about the second half of the season. Not playing like this. What do you think, /mug/? #AMORIN or #AMOROUT?

Jake Paul getting his faggot jaw shattered by a real boxer and putting this influencer boxing shit to bed has to be up there

Rabat – FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that a major change to the offside rule is under serious review ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Originally suggested by Arsene Wenger, the proposal would redefine offside in a way that favors attackers. Under current regulations, even a toe or shoulder beyond the line can trigger an offside call. By contrast, the new rule stipulates that a player would only be offside if their entire body is ahead of the last defender.

This change could have a big impact on how football is played. It would give attackers more freedom to time their runs and stay closer to the goal without being penalized.

Defenders would need to adjust their positioning and timing, while goalkeepers might face more one-on-one situations. The result could be more goals, faster transitions, and fewer interruptions due to marginal offside decisions.

Infantino spoke at the World Sports Summit in Dubai, where he also mentioned other innovations being tested in 2025 tournaments.

These include a “green card” system allowing teams to request VAR reviews, referee body cameras for transparency, and an eight-second rule for goalkeepers to release the ball faster. All these measures aim to make the game quicker, fairer, and more exciting.

FIFA is collecting data from these trials to decide which changes will be adopted for the 2026 World Cup. If the offside rule is updated, it could mark one of the biggest shifts in football tactics in decades, encouraging more attacking play and reducing controversy over tight offside calls

In rugby it’s the feet, both feet have to be behind the ball/line/ref/etc otherwise it’s offside
>>
>>152756003
This rule would be good if it only applied to reviews.

There is a much simpler solution to end the slurpshit plague.

>No intentional backward-passes past the half-way line. If you do, it's freekick to the opponent.

Thus ends the slurping and 0-0 matches where literally nothing happens for 94 minutes
>>
>>152756003
I really really hate this bald cunt. He's such a fucking serpent. The major european associations and the USA should leave FIFA.
