>Loading message...

Welcome to yet another glorious day in your officio station revered clerk of the Administratum.
Your efforts in compiling the information on [Vokaris Sector] and its eight subsectors have been further garnering plenty of praise from your peers and lords above your meager station, we implore you to resume your task to gather this stellar data about this sector in our glorious Imperium of Man
A brief reminder that as data comes in to your cogitator station via the servitors around you, you will have to compile it and make this sector whole again.
May the God Emperor continue to guide you clerk Anon.

Hello there, Anons of /tg/. If anyone is still interested in this fun project, here is the whole sector - updated with the discovered planets so far - where we can continue to create together, using the planet generator found on 1d6chan.

Oh yeah, we could do another roll for the current population. This roll would be for the population before its biosphere was eviscerated.

Players take on the role of survivors that band together to form a settlement, fighting monsters, crafting weapons and gear, and developing their civilization to ensure survival from generation to generation.

Prologue Narration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNLc8dHv0Ac

The Game is broken up into 3 phases:
1. During your Hunt Phase your band of survivors traverse the world of KD in pursuit of their quarry.
2. After successfully tracking your quarry you will begin the Showdown Phase, where you must fell these horrific creatures in order to acquire precious resources.

It's a collectabble. In a world where ao much is digital, it feels good to have something physical to interact with.
And once in a blue moon it does come in handy.
Somehow I'm faster at picking up the rules compendium and navigating the index than I am at finding shit in a PDF that takes a moment to load the page chunks.

TTRPGs are a social game first and foremost. That means there's unspoken rules that vary from group-to-group, but a common one is "acceptable breaks from sensibility" in the name of game experience or table cohesion. It's the kind of thing that keeps the bitter rivalry between the Elf and the Dwarf largely to amusing banter and not outright PvP. It's an innate instinct: nobody likes to spoil the atmosphere, because that's a large part of the appeal of a good game (alongside the freedom).

That being said, there are also times when the group's course of action is patently retarded and you can't meaningfully push back on it without feeling like you'd cause a big fight over nothing (and then feel obligated to keep comrades away from the consequences), or something a character cannot abide has to be "sanded over" somewhat, or you as the GM don't want to cultivate the feeling that you're antagonizing your players by hitting them over the head with "you murdered someone because it was convenient and didn't even take measures to cover your tracks" or whatever unhinged misadventure occurred because something about the player position of the table cause human beings to lose IQ.

Have you ever had that feeling? I think I see enough greentexts to think it's common.

None of you told me Century Spice Road was elegant.
>>
>>97239768
>just win themselves against new players
It's not, it's just an inability to explain the over all concept and back into the mechanics. Like when I teach agricola I start with "you're gonna starve, to not stave you need pigs. Two pigs breed but you need a fence. Another way to get food is veg..." whereas I got taught "put your workers down and get something or build a fence" like it's a typical two game and then I wonder why my instructor is working so hard on pigs and a garden.

People are weird and stupid, I don't know why I miss board game group. There was another guy who would always use the "just start playing method" but sometimes later said that was just practice and reset but other times was like let's just keep going. After GWT i suspected, after CE I knew: he pulled the reset whenever his first round didn't go well and insisted on playing through when it did. I don't think he even knew he was doing it but he was really flustered when the next time he laid out a game I made him state if it was a practice or we were playing through before he started.

This is over dozens of games but I specifically remember him having the perfect herd drawn when we continued gwt and threw away and redrew a bad hand in ce (whereas I had a god hand and got fucking crippled dick on the reset- one reason ce is terrible) when I confronted him and I explained it other regulars backed me up too but it was so ingrained here really struggled with just saying one or the other without seeing his lot.

Aight, disco fits the 'alone during holidays' feeling anyways. But I did play so much Vidya in my life that solo board games give some novelty. Hard to explain but after some point you just see through the Vidya as another form of boardgames. Excluding Fortnite faggotry.
>>
>>97240459
it's elegant because it's small and simple, really it's harder to make an inelegant game with so few moving parts
>>
>>97240459
Yes, perfect information, watching your opponents struggle to make you finally buy, getting an engine where you're shitting out spice, even just buying market cards for the spice Ann's then having them be clutch many trades later.

Okay, yes, Those look absolutely fucking awful to use for several reasons.

However, the spirit of gift-giving is in what the gift shows about the giver. She understands your interests enough to make you a dice set, she has enough of a sense of humor to give them over-the-top labels, and she cared enough to sink a decent amount of time into making this for you by hand. And she's doing this for you even though you're a lardass.

Not everything needs to be wholly practical. You presumably already have the dice you need for your games. So think of these more as decorative. Like the silver Tengwar d20s that I gave out to the groomsmen at my wedding.

>Command decides to spring the trap.
>Their small battlegroup chases a Rebel ship until it goes into orbit around the planet.
>The idea is that the Imperial Loyalists have replaced the first volley of the gun with training rounds that will make a good fireworks show, but shouldn't actually do any serious damage to the ship with that first volley.
>The hopes is once the Hypervelocity gun has destroyed the biggest ship, the Rebels main fleet will drop in to finish the rest.
>Then, the loyalists on the ground can retake the gun and use it to destroy the Rebel Fleet.
>The plan goes into action.
>Unfortunately, the Rebels found out about the plan and so the training rounds are replaced with live rounds, ripping the fleets Interdictor in half. 4 Rebel Cruisers then drop out and the fleets begin trading blows.
>Unfortunately, the Rebels are blocking Coms, so the main battle like (3 Imperial Class' and an Allegiance) Join the battle and put themselves in the line of fire for that Hypervelocity Gun.
>The Party are quickly dispatched to the surface to retake the gun before it can fire again.

>2 rounds left before the firing solution activates, slicer gets into the computer.
>Last turn, the slicer manages to target one of the Rebel Cruisers
>Hypervelocity gun fires, cutting an MC75 in half.
>The day is saved and the Rebels bug out.
>But the Slicer notices something. The Hypervelocity gun has targetting solutions plotted for every Imperial Ship in the fleet, except the Allegiance and their own ship, a Stormcommando-Type Escort Carrier.
>Slicer mentions this to the captain.
>Captain laments the reminder that his ship is so small that it's not worth targetting and the Allegiance is the only ship in the fleet that could actually stand up to a volley of Hypervelocity Cannonfire. Making their Imperials and Arquetens' the obvious targets.
>Slicer suspects something else...
Last time, one of the members found out about how their fleet has a growing Rebel Cell inside of it. Not a specifically members of the Rebel Alliance, but a group of Imperials who are sick of being treated as cannonfodder and having to answer mostly to political figures and agenda's (2 of the heads of their battlegroup are low level Moff's trying to climb the political ladder) rather than ACTUAL military men. After witnessing the destruction of Alderaan, he decides to join.

PVP expected sometime soon.

Was campy but still didn't feel like SW honestly. The issue is Disney directors and writers refuse to look at what people like from the Lucas films and instead are arrogant enough to think that whatever they pump out will be better than anything SW has ever seen
Reminds me of the treatment the RoP writers have towards Tolkien.

It felt like the Disney show that was closest to what star wars is.
