We've reached the point where GMs are now producing AI slop responses both in and out of character.

The popularity of AI slop is strong evidence for the hylic hypothesis, they don't see any problem with soulless garbage because they don't have souls themselves.
>>
>>97258608
Can't believe I'm going to bat for fucking 2hu, but he's more or less the opposite of an AI. Yes, he's autistic and he doesn't know how to be concise about anything, but his posts are all fundamentally driven by analysis--not of what word should come next, but of the rules of the game he's looking at. In contrast, AI models are principally driven by pattern-matching. Rather than looking for where a rule set might break down, they're "looking" to match the pattern of the current interaction to ones they've encountered before.
>>
>>97258808
At a guess, the same reason people use sex toys. Sometimes, you get tired of knowing that you're the one whose hand is on your dick.
>>
>>97239561
>no guys you don’t understand my shitbrew is SO good and unique that the sum totality of human creativity can’t replicate the freakshit races I made up to jerk off to or the derivative clothing designs that I cribbed from a handful of Google searches
>this is actually true and I don’t just think this because I’m too retarded to actually learn how to prompt properly
Ten to one you have the most paint-by-numbers D&D (and it’s definitely D&D) setting imaginable.
>>
>>97258862
There's certainly something wrong with people who just don't care, spiritual or otherwise. It's one thing to be tricked by AI, since certain aspects have gotten so much better, but I keep encountering people who just don't give a fuck. They don't care if something is real or not or if a real person created it. They cannot intellectually process anything beyond the surface level. If it looked okay enough and amused them for 2 seconds, then there's no point in caring if some streetshitter mass produces a billion things just like it every day. They don't even care that they're getting ripped off, let alone understanding why anyone cares if a real artist or writer was paid to make something.

cont:

Which is ironic, since re: "The mere idea of having conquistadors as the enemy was enough to make them whine" about it, you see the same thing in this very thread with >>97253598 (to be fair, I have not seen the movie yet, and I do think it seems to be playing up Cortes's bloodthirstiness, but conversely much of the clothing and especially architecture for the Aztec stuff seems quite accurate), and re: "the game already....made the region out to look dozens of times more primitive then it actually was", a huge amount of the sources actually written by Conquistadors, Catholic Spanish friars etc who were doing the colonizing endlessly praise Mesoamerican cities, art, social order and law, etc., see pic.

Again, actually showing Tenochtitlan as a huge bustling clean city with venice like canals, painted frescos; botanical gardens; and men and women in fancy cloaks, blouses, fine jewelry would just get it shat on for being a SJWified DEI woke fantasy despite being accurate to both the archeology and Spanish accounts.

newfag but I dont see a whole lot of terrain taking place inside ships
is it that rare?
>>
>>97260012
I'm mostly a newfag myself so someone else jumo in if I'm wrong, but afaik it's a twofold "issue"
>1. The game heavily involves verticality, meaning a corridor blaster map would drastically unbalance things
>2. Any ship important enough to have cyberpunk glow-ops happening on-board is going to have big enough hab-spaces that standars city terrain could cover it
>>
>>97260068
could be a bigger ship going through a hanger (for tags and vehicles) and/or the cargo bay to get some of that verticality

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or peoples' homebrew wargames.
The >>>/tg/hwg thread doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to more specific games.
This thread isn't tied to a game, a publisher, or a genre, let's just talk about fun wargames. Any scale, any company, any miniatures.

>Examples of games that qualify.
A Song of Ice and Fire, Argatoria, Batman Miniature Game, Carnevale, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings,
Deadzone, Dragon Rampant, Dropfleet and Dropzone Commander, Freebooter's Fate, Frostgrave, Gaslands, HeroClix,
Kings of War, Maelstrom's Edge, Malifaux, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Masters of the Universe: Battleground, Moonstone,
Oathmark, OnePageRules, Open Combat, RelicBlade, Rumbleslam, SAGA, StarCraft, Stargrave, Sludge, Urban War, Void,
Warcaster, Warmachine, Xenos Rampant, Xenotactics...
...and anything else that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread.

Bayonetta doesn't count in the same way Devil May Cry the actual video game doesn't really count, since there's only one or two demons that are actually on humanity's side, with the rest being just as kill happy and backstabby as you'd expect. It's a big plot point in the third game that the moment demons get the chance to rampage, they're as much a danger to the witches and humanity as the angels are.
>>
>>97259906
Yeah even what I gleaned from what little I played of the first game, demons were bad news for witches.
>>
The Demi God of murder saved the planet and humanitys races. Kind of a wild spin on things with the baldurs gate lore.
>>
Speaking of Bayonetta, I find it funny people try to blame anime/Japan for the phenomenon OP descrubes when in my experience they rarely do it. Jaoan follows more of a NO GODS, NO KINGS, ONLY MAN approach where qny power that seeks to dictate human destiny must needs be removed so mankind can make their own destiny. And then you need to consign yourself to becoming a wagecuck working a 14 hour day and make way for the next generation the moment you graduate high school, old man.

No that's not the purpose of my post. I understand why there is a focus on WW2. My point is people in this thread who are interested in this time period but feel pigeonholed to one part of it need explore more and see all the different things it has to offer.

>>
>>97259688
>Bronze Age feel, it is the same reason for why crossbows were treated as a black box tech.
They kinda break that up too, because they say people have triremes, but triremes weren't designed during the Bronze Age, they would have possibly biremes or just single row galleys. Plus they say the Realm uses triremes as warships when they should be using liburnae (which are technically biremes) and quadriremes/quinqueremes from the more advanced knowledge they have access to while keeping the Rome aesthetic. I feel like for more visual variety in ship type they could also have junks, to fit the Chinese aesthetics.
It could also be that they do have advanced sailing technology on them, but they just all look like triremes.

The Enhanced Reflexes chaotic trait is good because Warriors are already good and ensorcelled S4 hand weapons are killier than S3 spears even with the extra rank. And not to mention that in this case the Warriors are also tankier because they get to use parry. My question was never "is initiative actually good", it was "is the extra 1 initiative that elves get actually helping them", because as far as I can tell the answer is not really. It's one of the worst racial traits imo. But this is all a gut feeling from games that I've played and I've not actually looked at any raw numbers that prove or disprove me so I'd rather ask around for more opinions.
