Trying to figure out if I want grey cloaks or dark blue cloaks on my dwarf rangers to go with the warriors. The idea being the grey to blend in with the rocks but I think the blue looks nicer overall.

>paint and wait for the fireworks by the window
>all is peaceful
>suddenly ambulance takes old neighbour away
>sad somber moment
>doorbell rings
>drunk new 60+ years old lady neighbour barges in with hospitalized neighbours dog for some reason
>tells me her life story, feels me up and tries to raid my liquor cabinet
>manage to kick the wasted granny and her apparently new pet out somehow
>dont feel like painting anymore
happy new year anon i didnt get to see even one firework i just heard them

While gray would make sense tactically, blending in is kind of the opposite of what you want your minis to do on a table. Blue will look better imo

Yes. Parody and satire is fun for many people (people that arn't you have their own views, likes and dislikes), especially when aimed at authoritarian companys and organisations. You would know this if you weren't autistic. Try to BE POSITIVE.

What are some of your experiences with BRP or mythras? Favorite stories, characters, or supplements?

I generally like running pulp or horror campaigns. Funniest story setup was how my players thwarted a small series of adventures I planned before it even started.
>Players role up an old priest, a journalist, and basically fred from scooby doo.
>Investigating a series of murders and disappearances.
>Get captured thesmelves and wind up in a rundown factory converted to sort of look likea victorian mansion.
>Meet an obvious vampire who uses them for basic company and conversation before planning to kill them.
>My players escape, the frail priest manages to full nelson the vampire, and the other players manage to use a stake to kill him.

It ended what I planned to be a multi session adventure in one night. It was a lot of lucky roles and ended up with being funny.

This covers a good chunk of the cons. They did try to fix some of the issues with the target location thing by making that counter combat maneuver, but that implies a success getting used for that just to negate an issue. Make it really punishing if it happens.

I would disagree and say armor can actually be a little too strong in mythras at times in the hands of the players.
>>
The more I play, the more I really want someone to do an egyptian or greek campaign guide. I am surprised that neither chaosium or the design mechanism has done it yet. Chaosium would probably fuck it up to be honest, but their vikings book and the last creatures book were actually decent so who knows.

Osprey put out an rpg called Jackals a few years back that is a brp derived bronze age fantasy setting.
>>
>>97273683
Jackals is pretty good. I own it as well, but I kind of like the presentation of an alternate historical fantasy. I like seeing what kind of tweeks the writers do to historical events in terms of how the fantasy elements affect them.

I’m far more of a fan of the allotments system destined the supers supplement has

But the encumberance system is very workable
Especially if you have a VTT though it is clunky and it has worked for the post apoc game I’ve been running
Heavily armoured PC’s especially if they are small have been able to carry less and have packed a lot of important equipment onto their vehicles or mounts
There was also an alternative simplified encumberance system in the book but I don’t see that many pepole talk about it

>>97270919
Even when I used fixed initiative good armour in the hands of the PC’s can be a little strong at protecting them
Though there are plenty of other ways to fuck with them such as entangling weapons and tripping, on crits the bypass armour combat effect also exists
On a good damage roll 2h great weapons or large monsters can still be decently nasty to well armoured PC’s but that

Honestly, Odyssey of the Dragonlords was far more interesting. Both as a setting, and an actually fully fleshed out campaign.
>>
>>97273475
Odyssey of the Dragonlords was written by people that understand how campaigns are meant to function. The opening sessions of play in OftD really hammer in the "gods are real and they hate you" aesthetic.

Well Anon, my initial inspiration for the design was Carnor Jax's Crimson Empire. But due to LFL's moaning, I can't take royal guards, kind of ruining the theme.

I'm still tinkering with adjusting the lore, but the core idea is that this is indeed a warlord faction - the Palace Empire.
>Run by a captain-turned-moff who gained her position by helping the ISB root out the previous moff's treachery before Endor
>A doctrine of authority, Imperial orthodoxy and perfectionism
>They have ties and are suppported by various local noble and high society families
>They see themselves as protectors of civilization after the chaos of Endor, continuing the Empire's mission to uplift and civilize the barbarous systems and alians

I still have yet to settle on a specific sector of space they'd occupy, but I feel I'm working with something cool here.

>how difficult is it to learn?
Can you describe your current level of understanding of traditional games slash card games?

If you've somehow wandered onto this board as a true No-Games then learning Sorcery is going to go over like a lead balloon. If you know what tactics games are like, then you imagine what if magic had board positioning and an ambulatory avatar, then you're pretty close to the idea of what the game plays like. You're building a physical realm with each site you draw from your resource deck, shaping the lands and tapping into the elements they wellspring; but always remember that positioning and timing is everything when you're contesting territory. If that's not your cup of tea I don't blame you, maybe try something a little more abstract?
>>
>>97274239
Genuinely, and I say this with no malice towards the game itself, what kind of mental illness compels you to make these AI generated text posts whenever someone brings up Sorcery? Is it just a falseflag to respond to yourself as the other half of the shitflinging?

Why were so many of the "OG" game designers insufferable faggots? It seems like the vast majority of game designers from the 70s and 80s were self-obsessed dickheads who openly hated and looked down on their customer base. There were obviously exceptions, and some like Gygax would go on to regret and apologize for it, but still, what made so many "professionals" back then such fags?

They hope to transcend vampirism itself to become something MORE. The problem with this is, even the Eldest recognizes that the Hunger is the thing nailing them down.

It's mentioned in Lore of the Clans that even the Eldest realized that the inescapable part, the most fundamental part of being a vampire is the blood hunger, and humans are the most nourishing. They try to change and evolve into something that can overcome the state of vampirism- essentially, overcome the weaknesses by becoming something else.

All Tzimisce that take this seriously have different ideas on how to transcend into their Azhi Dahaka road. For the Eldest, it was becoming a big fleshy monster for a while. Then a meat tree. Then a bit of mpreg involving Socha Vykoss (don't ask.) Then a baby. Then I don't know what. I think the Eldest is supposed to be walking around now but no idea what they're doing.

The Ex-Sanguinist branch of the Tzimisce probably have the best handle on it, as they try and be ascetics and go as long as possible between feedings as they can in the hopes they can stave off the blood thirst and wean their beasts off of it entirely. But so far, no luck.

Those are lost kinfolk typically, there's a name for them I'm just forgetting it right now. Woofs look down even more on them than regular Kinfolk but they also know better typically than to just waltz up and demand like they do from those in the know. Unless you get a particularly insistent one, usually the Kinfolk merit ties you into Garou shit whether you like it or not.
