Costcutting measure, same as them simplifying controls with a bunch of the militia mechs in the 3060's where you can't waldo a middle finger at the enemy anymore.

>The Taurians were a "tall" civilization compared to the Great Houses "wide" civilizations, even up to the 4th Secession war the Taurians produced nearly a third of all Marauders and produced a metric fuckton of Thunderbolts, Archers, and Warhammers for sale. Taurus itself was second only to Terra for the number of Mech factories it had.

You're the troll, buddy. 1629 is still canon where other sources do not contradict it. Most of it has even been reprinted in 1692 and the Handbook. Let's take a look at what the TDF comp is in 3059. Does it say tends toward light and medium battlemech lances? It sure does.

You're really just proving that Tauriantards don't actually read the books.

A thread for talking about players doing dumb shit and acting like retards.

>Be me
>Running short campaigns for new groups at the LGS
>Players are all tasked with defending some random hamlet in a backwater province from bandits that are planning to sack it and haul everyone off into slavery
>First group is (rightly) terrified of a fair fight
>Lures the bandits into an ambush by getting help from a neighboring village
>raid their camp after they retreat and destroy the group
>Second group tries brute force
>Roll up on the bandit camp directly and alone
>Talk their way into meeting with the leader when they rushed him
>Catch him offguard
>Are also playing optimized characters
>Slaughter him and his guards and convince half of the bandit group to work for them, rest scatter
>The third group

Which are traits shown in the technological machinery used by Saruman and Sauron, though I guess in the end their stuff does have a mystical basis since they're basically angels with an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the universe, like the Watchers from the book of Enoch and such

This fa/tg/uy is a better tactician than William of Orange.
>>
>>97286577
If you're talking about William of Orange, which is what you said, that is not even the same historical period. If you're talking about the Prince of Orange present at waterloo, he was an ineffectual tactician and military leader and played no significant role. Either way, I'm not sure why you're bringing him up in particular

Maybe you MEANT to say, that the objective in this era of warfare was to close in and drive off the enemy with the bayonet?
(Or conversely, to shoot an approaching enemy to ribbons, before they could get close.)

But as written, you're saying that never ever ever did both sides just get within firing range and shoot over and over.
Which is of course just ridiculous.

I wish we could actually determine which of these two things was most often happening:

1) new players are learning which gangs are "originals" and are specifically making the decision to play Enforcer/Squat/CGC to somehow distinguish themselves as fresh unbiased players

2) new players aren't really doing the research to even know which gangs are originals, and Enforcers/Squats/CGC just legitimately have the most widely-appealing aesthetics of all the new designs
>>
>>97286385
Both Enforcers and Squat had influx of releases in short period of time and that sparked interest in new players.

Enforcer is the most request gang for a long time due to them carried a legacy of being overpowered in old necromunda, their pop culture reference to Judge Dredd, and their status of being the police in a criminal gang wars game, making new players more attracted to them.

I've spent the last year, studying, and designing a custom Arthurian set, originally intended to be based on Le Morte d'Arthur (like how P3k was based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms).

However, as I continued to study, and look into different (and some obscure sources) this turned into a much more wider net.

This set, which is no where near finished includes
>Welsh Triads and The Magnibong
>Pre-Vulgate Arthur traditions
>Vulgate/Post Vulgate/Lancelot cycles
>some English/Welsh fairy tales
>and even a bit of the Victorian Arthurian revival (especially for art).

I avoided the Italian and German romances entirely, and tried not to include weird outliners except when needed. Outside of art, nothing is sourced from the 20th century or onward. Also all art is public domain.

I'm mainly posting here for feedback. Some will be art recommendations, flavor text (especially sourced) will be always welcomed.

I already have one major order that only accepts female inductees.
>Order of Our Most Sacred Lady's Grace
>paladin order that takes a Oath of the Crown,
>most members mostly follow the teachings of Torm though followers of Tyr, Helm and The Red Knight are present in smaller numbers.
>this order was originally formed by the Master-at-Arms Denzieel D'Armas as a designated order of all-female bodyguards with the standing order of protecting the sole princess of the Kauhari royal line at all times in an era of great strife and conflict. The main reason for the strict gender restrictions were to ensure the princess could trust her bodyguards to at all times, no matter where she was or what she was doing. At first it was composed of close allies to Denzieel but as the princess came of age and the royal lineage grew several female members of the royal guard were inducted as teachers for new squires raised specifically for the purpose of being inducted into the Order.
>nowadays members of the Order take their oath to protect the royal lineage of the Kauhari throne and is seen as both an effective paladin order and as highly respected diplomats, ensuring peace and security to all reaches of the kingdom of Kauhari, and beyond should it be needed in the line fo duty.

I'm working on an alchemist class and I'm curious:

1. Would you find it more interesting if there were (1) escalating versions of alchemist's fire, dealing 2d6, 3d6, 4d6, etc. or (2) escalating damage items with escalating prices / craft DCs, but they did different damage types instead, or (3) both? Basically if you played an alchemist it'd be like bombs from Pathfinder, except you actually crafted them, but instead of always dealing fire damage, it'd be a set-in-stone thing that the 2d6 ones did, say, electricty, the 3d6 ones did cold, the 4d6 ones did half-fire-half-acid, or something like that.

2. How overpowered would it be for a 15th level character to be able to create potions of spells with a range of personal? They also would be able to make potions of spells level 1 to 9, from a limited number of spells "known" for the purposes of making potions out of them. But this would allow them to make potions of any personal-range spell they chose to learn. How broken would this be?

I don't recognize that there is a clear delineation between the worship of the gods in the setting in question. Khorne hates wizards and like bloodspilling so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to base a Khorne cult around the violent persecution of magicians. If it happens to also have an amount of collateral casualties then all the better.

It's mostly just that Solkan's entire thing is being the Witch Hunter god that hates wizards,

How do I make a campaign revolving around the gimmick Arios Theoman's sword Escude revolves around work?

To explain
>Arios is the "hero" of the setting
>He has a magical sword that gets more powerful the more humanity dies
>It's a dilemma - he needs the sword to be at least 30 percent powered up to be able to even hurt the demons ravaging his world, but to do that he needs to allow humans to die - or even actively curtail their population himself so as to paradoxically save them

It's a killer concept - but I feel like as a campaign it becomes hard to gamify since the players could literally just do nothing, allow the sword to get powered up, and kill the big bad without any moral dilemma at all

That's retarded.
>>
>>97284375
Why didn't they make a magic sword that didn't need people to die and was just at 100% all the time?
>>
>>97284375
I guess you could give each PC a distinct legendary weapon or artifact that gives various buffs depending on the current human population. It could be something as simple as "+X to all stats", as crucial as "ignore X points of any demon's innate supernatural damage resistance", or it could be something unique to every weapon.
You should also have a "human population" statistic that the PCs can check with their weapons at any time. It doesn't have to give an exact number. You can just give a hint like "the weapon feels colder than when you last held it, as if the sollective life force of humanity is dwindling" or an abstract rating like "3 out of 10 jewels on the legendary scepter's head have faded black."
When the PCs complete a quest, you might adjust the human population depending on how well the PCs succeeded in their quest. You might determine this with a random roll, use a character of modifiers depending on how many objectives were accomplished, or just go by vibes.
If a PC dies, you might allow the weapon to be passed along to a new PC, or you might allow the old PC to be revived at great cost to the human population (it might require willing sacrifices, or maybe a fraction of the remaining population just gets magically Thanos-snapped at random). I think allowing PCs to revive at a cost is a neat idea, since it creates dynamic difficulty (if the PCs do well, then more people are saved, but things get harder for them; if the PCs are struggling, then they can just power up at the cost of human lives) and saves the trouble of having to roll up a new character.
If the PCs choose the easy path to power, or too many humans die, then make sure they feel the consequences. Places where the PCs can rest and resupply become sparser, replaced by ghost towns. Human allies and support networks become fewer and more expensive. Demons become more numerous (but not individually more powerful). And so on.
>>
>>97286300
forgive me, I might be having a stroke
>sollective life force
collective
>character of modifiers
chart of modifiers
>>
>>97284375
What if instead of requiring a % of population dying the sword is just powered up by human souls consumed? Then your players have to actively decide if it's worth it to personally slay innocents to power the sword enough to fight demons.

I know Storm of Steel uses 15mm but his terrain is a bit more austere than I try to make.

I watched this video on printing a giant kumiko wall hanger that's 11 feet by 3 feet.

How big are the pieces? The funny thing with resin is, if you print one or many on the same printrun, it takes the same time. FDM on the other hand takes the same time per model, so two take twice as long.

So it could be that printing in resin would take way less time than fdm if you can cram enough onto the buildplate.

resin allows finer details but different material properties. FDM is generally a less-involved and quicker process at the expense of minute detail. FDM printers tend to have more buildspace and filament is generally cheaper than resin so it's good for terrain, and filament is generally better for functional parts due to the properties of the materials used to print.
tldr resin is good for visual pieces, fdm is good for functional pieces. resin printing is a more labor intensive process

I'm at my wits end with the saturn 3 I have, will not stay level after screws tighten no matter what I do. I tried fdm printing a whole frame to keep it still in spite of it but it still manages to completely tweak itself out of alignment.

The saturn 4 ultra looks good but I am drawn by the photon p1 for how easy it looks like to switch screens.

Was bound to happen with how lax Cults' moderation is tbdesu. It'll probably peter out as the christmas newfag wave goes back to work or finds their footing.
