Looking at all these games played list it reminds me of games that were very popular at one point but I'm not sure if they're getting played anymore.The teo that jump to my mind are Teotihuacan and Stationfall. It's almost a party game, but you don't really want too many people playing it. It feels like a lightweight game that still needs a 45 min teach. It creates hilarious stories, but doesn't offer statisfying gameplay. Stationfall is somewhat of a conundrum and is probably the best game in existence for the right people, but there's not that many of them.

That does mean that it's just the fact that the game was more simplified in that state and most of the people going there are almost certainly looking for an easier experience. I got roped into playing a version that was supposed to be shorter and faster and made sure to follow the rules to the letter so no house rule bullshit that extends the game. It still took nearly 4 hours to finish and ~2 hours of that I didn't even get to do anything since I was out of the game by that point.

I played the original and have a bunch of expansions from an old Kickstarter, but never played the expansions. The core (original) game is a bit basic and amounts to a bit of a beer and pretzels level of game without much depth to it. I kinda want to layer on some additional rules to it but probably should look at the expansions first to see if they add any additional rules and not more monsters, maps, and items. I'm currently dumping my energy into tinkering with my FDM printer and making 15mm war gaming stuff right now though. Oh yes, I'm also ass pained at how that one sci fi game Sodapop did turned out. I'm not really clear what happened but Cool Mini or Not had a hand in how shitty the figures turned out.

A genuinely fantastic DM who puts ridiculous amounts of effort into running the game, even pre-Critical Role.His DM style is very much about trying to paint an extremely broad picture of the world, while having every detail justified and backed up with information. Which has its shortcomings, but the aforementioned work put into the games more than makes up for it.He also got a group of completely fresh players and was able to mold them to how he runs the game, which is a big reason their group works so well.He seems very cool and talented IRL except for the fact that all the time he's spent with the major lib fags of the group (basically everyone but Travis/Laura) has turned him into a major cuck. Regarding the show, it's sad that after campaign 2 they completely turned it into a product rather than just a fun game. Not that I blame them whatsoever considering the $ made
